IV His Son — two Atlanta-based Christian rap artists — and Jovan Mackenzy, in partnership with online production company CrownRightsMedia.com have made a video that is causing quite a stir in the Christian community. In the video IV His Son and Jovan Mackenzy are seen standing in front of the popular mega churches of two controversial Atlanta pastors, Bishop Eddie Long of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church and Creflo Dollar of World Changers Church International . IV His Son asks the listener if they are supposed to follow Long and Dollar in lieu of all the controversy surrounding their “prosperity gospel,” as well as the sexual accusations that Long settled out of court despite vowing to fight them. Vanessa Long Says Divorce Back On, Eddie Long Responds

After releasing two conflicting statements in one day, Vanessa Long has once again decided to divorce her husband, Bishop Eddie Long . Her lawyers released the following statement Friday evening: “Consistent with her original statement made this morning, Mrs. Long continues to hope that this matter may be resolved expeditiously, harmoniously and fairly; however, she has determined that dismissal of her divorce petition is not appropriate at this time.” Bishop Eddie Long released his own statement on New Birth Missionary Baptist Church’s Facebook page saying: “God has blessed us with a wonderful family. Vanessa is, and has always been, a loving, dedicated and committed wife and Mother. My love for her is deep and unwavering. It remains our sincere desire to continue working together in seeking God’s Will in these circumstances. We will do so as privately as possible and with a spirit of love and sensitivity to our family. We ask that you be in prayer for our family and that we be allowed to privately pursue this important path without need, or request from the media, for further comment.” The AJC reports that in the divorce filing, Vanessa Long said her 21-year marriage to the megachurch pastor was “irretrievably broken” and there was “no hope of reconciliation.” The couple has been in a “state of separation,” according to the petition. Bishop Eddie Long’s wife, Vanessa Long, has filed for divorce! Vanessa Long made the announcement today in the following statement: “After a great deal of deliberation and prayer, I have decided to terminate my marriage to Bishop Eddie L. Long. Accordingly, I authorized my attorneys to file for divorce on December 1, 2011. It is my sincere hope that this matter can be resolved expeditiously, harmoniously and fairly. I ask that you respect my privacy and that of my family, as my attorneys and I have agreed that we will not try this case in the media, and I do not intend to make any further statements concerning this matter.” The couple married in 1990 and have three children together, Edward, Jared and Taylor. As we previously reported, last fall four young men accused Eddie Long of sexual abuse. Although Long vowed to fight the charges, he later settled the matter out of court for an undisclosed sum of money. It was later revealed that a fifth man, Centino Kemp, also received settlement money. Eddie Long Accusers Risk Losing Settlement Money By Speaking Out [VIDEO]

Photo courtesy of WSB-TV For the first time since settling sex abuse lawsuits with Bishop Eddie Long, two of his accusers are speaking out about the case in an exclusive interview with WSB-TV . By speaking out about their alleged relationship with Long, Jamal Parris and Spencer LeGrande risk losing the unspecified money they were awarded in the settlement. The young men told WSB-TV that it was never about money and was always about the truth, and they feel like their whole story still hasn’t been told. The two said they are planning on writing a book about their ordeal. The men spoke to WSB-TV for several hours, about their relationships with Bishop Eddie Long, what they went through during the settlement talks, and how they’re doing now. Spencer and LeGrande also described how they felt watching Long deny the allegations to his New Birth Missionary Baptist Church congregation last September. Read the full story here. The New Birth Missionary Baptist Church leader was the keynote speaker at a conference in South Africa recently. As we previously reported, even though he vowed to fight the charges Long settled out of court with four men who accused him of sexual misconduct. Watch the video below. Dave Chappelle’s Block Party in 2004 will go down as one of the coolest outdoor concert experiences of the last ten years.  R&B star Jill Scott was one of the featured performers and tore down the stage with Erykah Badu during a rendition of “You Got Me.” Now if you watch footage from the movie (released in 2006) Jill was very pleasant and easy going back stage, even with her pimple named “Herbert”. But in a recent interview with TheHuffingtonPost she admitted that being back stage wasn’t all fun for her. MR : You’re in a certain Dave Chappelle’s Block Party flick. That must have been fun. JS : That was not fun for me. It was a great experience, however it wasn’t fun. The only reason I say that is I typically work a certain kind of way. There were so many people and so much energy that it was hard for me to find a space to just be for a moment, straight from a crowd of people to the stage, which is not normally what I do. I remember being thoroughly exhausted when that was over, but very proud of the outcome. Fox 5 Atlanta has discovered that there was a fifth accuser in the Bishop Eddie Long sexual misconduct case. Centino Kemp never filed a lawsuit and his name was never made public during the case, but apparently Kemp was involved in the recent settlement negotiations with Long and the other accusers. According to Fox 5 Atlanta, Kemp is currently recording songs written from the perspective of an angry lover and has Eddie Long’s name tattooed on his wrist with the words: “Never a Mistake, Always a Lesson.” Sources told Fox 5 Atlanta that Kemp is 22 years old and was raised in the Bahamas and met Eddie Long years ago during a visit to New Birth while he was a teenage student in a Florida college. Bishop Eddie Long Accuser Arrested On Gun & Drug Charges In Miami

One of the four men who accused Bishop Eddie Long of sexual misconduct — the first one to speak publicly about the allegation — was arrested this week in Miami on suspicion of being a drug dealer. Jamal Parris, 24, was driving a white 2011 BMW in Miami Beach Tuesday evening when a Florida Highway Patrol officer noticed that it had no tags. After pulling the car over the approaching officer approached and smelled marijuana. A search of the car turned up 181 grams of marijuana, which is worth about $1,000 on the street. The officer also discovered 50 clear plastic baggies and a Taurus semiautomatic handgun. Parris also was carrying $1,250 in cash. Parris was arrested and jailed. He was charged with two felony counts: possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm while committing a felony. He also was charged with operating a motor vehicle with no registration, a misdemeanor. Read the full story here. A video has begun circulating the web of a New Birth Missionary Baptist Church member interrupting Bishop Eddie Long during one of his sermons and handing him a huge wad of cash. After handing over the cash, the unnamed woman hugs the embattled pastor and walks back to her seat while the crowd cheers.
