But all of the changes in his personal life may have helped Safaree Samuels neglect his finances. That’s because the IRS has just slapped the “Love & Hip Hop: New York” reality star with a tax lien to the tune of more than $35,000, alleging that the groom hasn’t paid his taxes in years. According to the federal tax lien, which was filed last month and obtained by BOSSIP, Safaree owes a total of $35,166 for his income from 2012, 2017 and 2018. Specifically, the IRS contends Safaree owes $9,572 for income from 2012 – when he was still with Nicki Minaj – along with $13,699 for 2017 and $11,893 for 2018, when his income apparently mushroomed from his “Love & Hip Hop: New York” checks, a slew of personal appearances and a sex toy line. The IRS doesn’t mess around when it comes to collecting from alleged tax dodgers and has seized assets and even jailed celebs like Lauryn Hill and Wesley Snipes over their tax debts. Safaree had not officially responded to the lien as of Oct. 9.

Michael Jackson’s executor and lawyers have been working nonstop to rebuild Jackson’s brand and stabilize his finances for years ensuring that MJ will keep the checks coming in for years to come. His team stated: “With the assistance of their counsel, the Executors have successfully rebuilt and enhanced Michael Jackson’s image, solidified the MJJ business as a significant entity in the entertainment industry, entered into and continue to enter into unprecedented business deals that have produced, and will in the future produce, significant revenues for the Estate.”
Lindsie Chrisley has chosen to kick her famous father while he’s down. And we can’t say we mind very much at all. We just wish she had been wearing metal spikes at the time… Lindsie, as you very likely know, is the estranged daughter of Todd and Julie Chrisley. And as you also very likely know by now, Todd and Julie Chrisley were indicted by a federal grand jury this week on 12 counts of financial fraud. The USA Network reality stars are accusing of forging bank documents… lying about their massive income… and screwing over their fellow American citizens by failing to pay their taxes. The lead Chrisley Knows Best cast members turned themselves into authorities in Georgia on Wednesday and then pleaded not guilty later that afternoon in court. They could be sentenced to 30 years in prison. In the wake of this scandal, lawyers for Todd and Julie have proclaimed their client’s innocence. They’ve alleged that a bitter ex-employee has actually set the couple up, issued fake documents on their behalf and forged Todd’s signature in the process. One of the questions surrounding this controversy over the past few days has been the following: Did Lindsie Chrisley play any role in her parents’ downfall? Did she actually tip off the police and/or the FBI to her dad’s allegedly illegal behavior? No , a lawyer for Lindsie now says. “Lindsie would like to thank all of her supporters,” this attorney said yesterday in a statement on behalf of Lindsie, who quit her family’s reality show in 2017. Continued this representative: “The circumstances Todd and Julie find themselves in, is quite unfortunate. It was reported that Lindsie was the source of the information that led to her father’s arrest. That is untrue, she was not the source of this information.” He then dropped this bombshell: “Lindsie has been a constant target of lies, harassment and threats from her family and as a result, has been distancing herself from the Chrisley family since 2017.” Wait, what? Back it up here, lawyer dude? Lindsie belives her family has been harassing her and threatening her? Yes, and this harassment and this threat are both allegedly centered on two things: Todd’s reportedly involved in the aforementioned tax evasion scheme. A Lindsie Chrisley sex tape. Bet you didn’t see that one coming, huh?!? Last month, however, Todd’s estranged daughter filed a police report in Georgia alleging that her brother, Chase, and her dad were trying to extort her over a sex tape that she made — and that Chase supposedly purchased. Lindsie claims that Todd and Chase threatened to release the lewd footage … unless Lindsie agreed to lie about a certain “incident.” And, yes, sources say this “incident” was related to the tax issues Todd and Julie are currently facing. “Lindsie is currently processing the events that have unfolded,” concludes her lawyer’s statement. “We will continue to cooperate with law enforcement and pray for a just resolution. We will have more to say when the opportunity presents itself.” Lindsie has remained in the news of late for co-hosting a podcast with Teen Mom star Kailyn Lowry. Her sister, Savannah, has already gone in the opposite direction, showering her parents with biblical support . Folks, Lisa Vanderpump is not backing down. In fact, it seems the embattled reality star and animal rights activist is just digging in deeper as her never-ending war against her former co-stars rages on! Yes, Lisa may have quit The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills , but that doesn’t mean she’s done feuding with Kyle Richards and Teddi Mellencamp. In case you missed it, the ladies of RHOBH are involved in one of the nastiest beefs in Bravo history. And while it all started over a dog, these days, Lisa and Kyle are attacking one another over everything from their finances to their capabilities as party hostesses. Lisa stands accused of leaking a story about Lucy Lucy Apple Juice — the dog that Dorit Kemsley adopted from her Vanderpump Dogs organization and then gave away. That situation snowballed to the point that the ladies began citing other instances in which Lisa had behaved in a sanctimonious or judgmental fashion. It all came to a head in late July, when Kyle Richards went off on Lisa in a 29-tweet tirade . Not only did Lisa clap back at the time — she’s still going after Kyle in what she claims is an attempt to clear her good name. And it seems her efforts are receiving plenty of support from fans. Earlier this week, a Twitter user tweeted, “#RHOBH season of lies and deception. They all need to go,” apparently suggesting that Kyle and Teddi should be fired from the show. Lisa promptly replied, “Exactly.” And those who know the restaurateur best say Lisa’s shade campaign won’t be letting up anytime soon. “Lisa is disappointed over the accusations these women made against her. It’s hard for her to sit back and not say things on social media as she feels they still are taking digs at her,” a source close to the situation tells Hollywood Life. “[Lisa’s] disenchanted with them and the situations they’ve created in general over all of this. It got very out of hand,” the insider continues. “Until they stop talking about her on social media, she has no intentions of stopping when she feels the need to speak up or defend herself. The source adds that Lisa is completely over the show and has no intention of watching new episodes. This intense and bitter feud between Kelly Dodd and Tamra Judge has led to Kelly saying some very unkind things. Vicki, who was feuding with Tamra herself just a few years ago, is leaping to her defense. She says that she used to pity Kelly — but no longer feels sorry for her fake, broke ass. Feeling newly empowered by Vicki’s demotion, Kelly has been lashing out at all of her enemies. According to Kelly, both Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Judge are “stale.” That’s just about the most insulting way of accusing someone of being boring that we can imagine. Kelly also singled out Tamra, claiming that she “uses everyone else for her storylines.” Vicki heard all of this, and decided to remind Kelly that she’s been verbally destroying people since before anyone had heard Kelly’s name. Kelly’s incendiary comments made their way to social media, where Vicki spotted them and, in an Instagram comment, responded. “I used to feel sorry for her,” Vicki admits. The OG of the OC adds: “Now I don’t.” “She is an angry, volatile person,” Vicki characterizes. She continues: “Regarding her stating we are stale and don’t have story lines….. Vicki decides to hammer Kelly about her finances in particular. “You rent a 900 so. ft apartment and pretend to be all smart!” Vicki exclaims. “You mentioned you got a ‘windfall’ from Michael,” she recalls. “And can pay cash for a home like Tamra’s.” Tamra and Eddie recently moved into a $2 million home, though some have suggested it was an effort to downsize due to expenses. Vicki doubles down by issuing a challenge to Kelly: “Then why don’t you do it??” Her implication is clear — she thinks that Kelly doesn’t have the cash that she claims to. Vicki famously lost her orange at the beginning of the year. But her merciless excoriation of Kelly shows that she has a lot of fight left in her. Many fans would not be surprised to see her return to Full Housewife status before too long. Tamar Braxton’s estranged hubby is being sued by two different people for allegedly shortchanging them. One lawsuit is over unpaid rent and the other is over writing a bad check then shutting down his account. According to The Blast , Herbert is being sued by a company called NK Real Estate Investments. Herbert apparently entered into a one-year lease over a Los Angeles condo back in December 2018. The company sued Herbert for the unpaid rent of $38,850, plus other costs. In a separate lawsuit, a woman named Dakota Sal accusing him of writing her two checks totaling $10,000 last month. Money can’t buy happiness. But, when it comes to Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott we might have an exception. On top of the couple losing all of their finances, their relationship is plummeting right along with it. We learn from Radar that American Express Bank filed a ‘writ of execution order’ on January 4 asking the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office Department to take possession of $88,246.55 that Tori still owes. AmEx isn’t the only lender coming after the family, Spelling and McDermott are also being sued by City National Bank for allegedly failing to pay back a $400,000 loan. As a result, Radar reported that the troubling duo had a “blowout fight” in the wake of their financial mess. Spelling “screamed at Dean to get out of her life and not come back until he gets a job,” a source revealed. “She is sick and tired of their financial situations that they can’t climb out of.” The couples’ last big fight supposedly happened a week ago, just months after Radar shared “that the 45-year-old reality star kicked her hubby out of the house during the holidays. It’s easy to assume Spelling is dealing with some denial and shopping withdrawals, but meanwhile, her husband has resorted to extra measures to try and save their family financially. He is working in construction while also continuing to look for work as an actor. Tori, however, “thinks Dean is past his prime” and should be looking for other forms of work. But, cut him some slack! It’s not McDermott’s fault that Spelling grew up “rich beyond anyone’s wildest dreams” and never knew anything else. Like, how to pay a bill. But after racking up seven figures of credit card debt, we can only hope that the couple will learn how to manage whatever money they do make it out within the future. While McDermott continues to job hunt, Spelling is desperately trying to sell her reboot of Beverly Hills 90210 and Deadline says its already in the works. The reboot is supposedly featuring a number of original cast members alongside Spelling, including Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, and Brian Austin Green. We hope the show makes a prosperous comeback! Mainly so Dean can stop doing construction. The opportunity may also give the parents another chance to try and set a good example for their five young children. You know, on how NOT to be absolutely terrible with money management one day. Money may not solve all problems. But, in this case, it definitely does.

Assemblywoman Angela McKnight and financial educator Tiffany “The Budgetnista” Aliche worked together to draft and advocate a financial literacy bill that would give kids a fighting chance at the future. A1414, wil l instruct the State Board of Education to require school districts to incorporate financial literacy instruction into curriculums for enrolled students in grades 6 through 8. This law presents children with vital information that has the potential to change the course of their lives by preparing them to properly evaluate their finances and deal with debt as adults. Regarding the bill, McKnight told Hello Beautiful , “One of the most important lessons a person can learn is how to manage their money. Many young people go into adulthood knowing little about finances, and end up making decisions that cost them in the long run.” She added, “Teaching our kids early about the importance of managing their money and making sound financial decisions can prevent them from making costly mistakes and set them on the right financial path.” Hopefully, this bill will spread to multiple states.
