Straaaaait Scandal: IRS Hits Newlywed Safaree With $35K Tax Lien, Alleges He Didn’t Pay Taxes For Years!! (Exclusive)

Source: Prince Williams / Getty Reality Star & Sex Toy Entrepreneur Accused Of Owing Uncle Sam Five Figures He is a newly married man who is expecting his first child with wife reality star Erica Mena. But all of the changes in his personal life may have helped Safaree Samuels neglect his finances. That’s because the IRS has just slapped the “Love & Hip Hop: New York” reality star with a tax lien to the tune of more than $35,000, alleging that the groom hasn’t paid his taxes in years. According to the federal tax lien, which was filed last month and obtained by BOSSIP, Safaree owes a total of $35,166 for his income from 2012, 2017 and 2018. Specifically, the IRS contends Safaree owes $9,572 for income from 2012 – when he was still with Nicki Minaj – along with $13,699 for 2017 and $11,893 for 2018, when his income apparently mushroomed from his “Love & Hip Hop: New York” checks, a slew of personal appearances and a sex toy line. The IRS doesn’t mess around when it comes to collecting from alleged tax dodgers and has seized assets and even jailed celebs like Lauryn Hill and Wesley Snipes over their tax debts. Safaree had not officially responded to the lien as of Oct. 9.

Pay Yo Bills: IRS Says Mary J. Blige Owes More Than $1 Million In Back Taxes (Exclusive)

Source: Paras Griffin / Getty Queen Of Hip Hop Soul Accused Of Owing Big Money In Back Taxes The Internal Revenue Service says Mary J. Blige is once again facing major tax troubles. The IRS accused the “No More Drama” singer of owing it big time for back federal taxes – to the tune of more than $1 million, BOSSIP has learned. Blige’s tax lien, filed late last month, accuses the newly single Blige of owing a total of $1,198,161. The feds said MJB failed to pay taxes on income from 2016 and 2017, according to the lien, which was obtained by BOSSIP. Despite being one of the biggest selling and best-loved hip hop soul artists of her generation, Blige has struggled with financial issues over the years. Blige still has outstanding federal tax liens totaling millions from when she was still married to her nex husband and former manager Kendu Isaacs. Blige’s new lien suggests that despite her split from Isaacs, she is still experiencing trouble handling her tax bills. We exclusively revealed that Blige narrowly escaped foreclosure on two New Jersey mansions, but is still on the hook for a suit accusing her of skipping out on about $60,000 in back rent on a luxe Southern California estate. Blige had not responded to the lien as of Aug. 12.

Lil Wayne recently announced that Jay-Z was there for him when Uncle Sam came knocking on his door. As spotted on  Complex   Weezy opened up more than usual as he closed out his last concert of the I Ain’t Sh*t Without You Tour in Chicago. Before taking a bow he took a moment to thank Swizz Beatz and Jay-Z for being there during his biggest time of need. “There’s people like Jay-Z. He helped me out when I was really, really, really down. Really, really, really down. There’s people like Swizz Beatz who’s gonna send me every single beat he make and wants me to rap on every single one until I got my situation straight” he revealed. He then went on to hint that Jigga’s support was also monetary. “Jay don’t want me to tell nobody. That man helped me with my taxes. He’s a real friend y’all.” @LilTunechi thanks JAY-Z and Swizz Beatz “There's people like JAY-Z, he held me when I was really really down… Jay don’t want me to tell nobody, that man helped me with my taxes.” – Lil Wayne tonight in Chicago #TIDALXLilWayne – 'I Ain't Shit Without You' Tour pic.twitter.com/qESixcsRGZ — JAY-Z Daily (@JAY_Z_Daily) December 24, 2018 While he didn’t give further details on how much SC fronted him it should be noted that JAY-Z has been in Wayne’s corner for some time. Back in 2004 when Jay was president of Def Jam Records he tried to sign him but the “Uproar” rapper eventually resigned with Cash Money Records. In 2013 S. Dot recalled the offer during his visit to  The Breakfast Club . “The truth is after I had a meeting with Wayne — I had a relationship with Baby, when I used to go to New Orleans I would meet up with him. So, I felt it was only right to call him. I called him out of respect like ‘Yo, I was talking to Wayne. Just to let you know. Boom boom. After that we received a letter at our office for, I think it was, ‘Torturous interference’” he explained. While Wayne’s tenure with Cash Money since resigning in 2005 has been rocky to say the least he finally received contractual emancipation early this year with the release of  Tha Carter V. Blac Chyna Loses License To “Lashed” Business… Meanwhile Kylie Is Koming With Her Own Lash Line!

Source: Patricia Schlein/WENN.com / WENN Blac Chyna Lash Business Suspended Over Failure To File Tax Return Bad news in Blac Chyna land … The Blast recently confirmed that Lashed, LLC was suspended by the Franchise Tax Board on November 1, 2018. That’s Blac Chyna’s cosmetics company for those who are unaware. California-based businesses can be suspended by either the Secretary of State’s office or the FTB for a handful of different reasons, a spokesperson for the tax board tells the Blast they suspended Lashed for its “failure to file a tax return.” Due to the suspension, Chyna’s business has now lost to conduct business and she’ll also be put in the position where she’s unable to sue on behalf of or defend Lashed in court, file a claim for refund, legally close or dissolve the business. According to the FTB, the California agency responsible for collecting and enforcing personal and corporate income taxes, suspended companies are also subject to a $2,000 penalty. But we probably shouldn’t feel too bad because these repercussions follow a failure to respond to over two months-worth of notices. Since launching Lashed in late 2014, Chyna’s beauty biz has sold cosmetics, including lashes and lipsticks, both online at LashedCosmetics.com as well as her actual Encino store, where services like eyelash extensions, waxing and teeth whitening were offered. While the suspension won’t affect Lashed customers ability to make purchases online her Ventura Blvd based brick and mortar has been looking mighty empty. Chyna held a grand re-opening back in September but a neighboring business owner told The Blast they haven’t seen her back since. Meanwhile, to add insult to injury, Kylie Jenner filed to trademark the term “KYLASH,” for the purposes of artificial eyelashes, eyelash tint. You already know Kylie’s a beast at the beauty biz, so this could be a big area of expansion for her. Blac Chyna might want to get things right with the taxman quickly because businesses lose the right to use their name when they’re suspended, which means another enterprising Californian could come in and stake their claim.

This Thing Is Bigger Than Nino Brown: Wesley Snipes Order To Pay $9.5 Million In Back Taxes To The IRS

(Photo by Alberto E. Rodriguez/Getty Images) Wesley Snipes Ordered To Pay Back $9.5 Million In Back Taxes Pay your taxes. According to The Blast , after taking trying to take his tax case to court, the Wesley Snipes lost his appeal on $10 million in debt he owed to the IRS. This isn’t a new case at all. If you recall, Snipes was sentenced to prison for not filing his federal income taxes back in 2008 and has been in a legal battle with the IRS for over a decade for tax debt from the late ‘90s and early 2000s. He claims that his accountant and anti-tax advocate allegedly convinced him he didn’t have to pay taxes. Snipes originally owed $23.5 million to the IRS, but was able to reduce it down to $9.5 million. He tried settling for $850,000 but the IRS said “nah”. Snipes filed an appeal, and the court sided granted the IRS its requests. “Given the disparity between petitioner’s $842,061 OIC [offer-in-compromise] and the settlement officer’s calculation of $9,581,027 as his RCP [reasonable collection potential], as well as petitioner’s inability to credibly document his assets, the settlement officer and her manager had ample justification to reject the offer,” U.S. Tax Court Judge Kathleen Kerrigan. Snipes claimed in court that his financial advisor took out loans and assets without his knowledge, but failed to provide enough evidence to back up the claim. The judge ruled the $9.5 million payout wouldn’t leave Snipes broke and that he should be able to cover it.

Lauryn Hill’s NJ Mansion In Foreclosure Over Nearly $1 Mill Tax Arrears (Exclusive)

NEW YORK, NY – NOVEMBER 13: Musician Lauryn Hill performs onstage during The Museum of Modern Art Film Benefit presented by CHANEL: A Tribute to Julianne Moore at MOMA on November 13, 2017 in New York City. (Photo by Nicholas Hunt/Getty Images for Museum Of Modern Art) Fugees Singer May Lose Home After Falling Behind On Tax Bills For Mansion Lauryn Hill is once again facing major tax trouble. The Fugees singer has been put in default in a foreclosure lawsuit over nearly $1 million in back taxes on her mansion in New Jersey, BOSSIP has learned. Rothman Realty LLC sued the hip-hop singer late last year to foreclose her mansion after the company bought the tax certificate on her suburban mansion. According to the suit, Hill didn’t pay the taxes on the property back in 2003, and plaintiff Rothman Realty LLC bought the tax lien and began paying the tax bills, which swelled to a total of $993,901 as of April 2018, according to court papers obtained by BOSSIP. The “Killing Me Softly” singer never responded to the foreclosure suit, so Rothman Realty got a judge to officially put the home in foreclosure, court papers state. Now, the realty company wants Hill out of the mansion and the complete ownership and control of the property. The home is now set to be sold at Sheriff’s auction, and the proceeds will be used to pay Rothman Realty back, according to court papers. Hill bought the 5,000 square foot mansion in South Orange for $430,000 in 1997 – during the height of her fame with the Fugees, according to public records. The property, set on half an acre, is now worth an estimated $1.06 million. It’s not the first time that the singer has dealt with tax problems. Hill actually served three months in federal prison in 2013 for failure to pay taxes. And last month, we exclusively revealed that Hill sued her relative, Gerald Hill, to collect on a $65,000 loan she gave him that he never paid back. Hill’s lawyer declined to comment. We’ve also reached out to Rothman Realty for comment.
