Source: Brian Stukes / Getty A federal grand jury has indicted Baltimore rapper “Chad Focus” of Randallstown on conspiracy, wire fraud, and identity theft charges for using his employers credit card to make over $4.1 million in unauthorized purchases. According to the indictment, 31-year-old Chad Arrington was working as Search Engine Optimization Specialist from around 2011 to August 2018. Arrington and four co-conspirators allegedly used the credit card for fraudulent purchases, for their own benefit and to promote the Chad Focus brand. The card was used to buy studio kits, instruments, and music technology, to create his Chad Focus alter ego and produce a number of hip-hop songs through his own company, Focus Music Entertainment LLC. $250,000 in other purchases were made for electric bikes, hover boards, and scooters. He also reportedly made purchases from online streaming platforms to increase the chances of his songs being played by creating more “likes”, “followers,” “tags,” and “views” on social media. Additionally, Arrington fraudulently invested in services that promoted his mixtape videos, music, and to pay for billboards to display his website and image, representing Chad Focus and Music Entertainment nationwide. If convicted, he faces up to 22 years in prison. Source: PETER PARKS / Getty Suspect Reportedly Kills Pregnant Teen Then Forcibly Removes Her Child A tragic and grotesque act went down in Chicago that’s surely sent shockwaves into the community. According to the Chicago Sun-Times , police suspect a Southwest Side lady lured a young pregnant mother into her home right before the pregnant woman was killed and the child was cut from her body. According to authorities, a body was found in a garbage can on early Wednesday in the suspected woman’s backyard. The body turned out to be that of the pregnant woman, Marlen Ochoa-Lopez. She was reported missing three weeks ago. Authorities say she was strangled to death and they ruled her death a homicide. Family and friends of Ochoa-Lopez said she met the 46-year-old suspected killer on Facebook. The woman reportedly got 19-year-old Ochoa-Lopez to come to her home in the Scottsdale neighborhood by offering her extra baby clothes for her unborn son. Hours after Ochoa-Lopez was last seen on April 23, the older woman phoned 911 for help, saying she had just given birth to the boy inside the home. The suspect then had the nerve to say she was suffering from “post-delivery issues,” according to a police source. Sara Walker, a student pastor at Lincoln United Methodist Church, has been helping the missing teen’s family communicate with police. Walker said the 46-year-old woman later set up a GoFundMe page to raise $9,000 for her baby’s funeral, claiming the baby boy was sick and about to die. An anonymous tip eventually caused detectives to check the parentage of the baby using saliva from the missing woman’s husband, Yiovanni Lopez, and hair samples from Ochoa-Lopez’s place. DNA tests proved that the child belonged to Ochoa-Lopez and her husband. A pregnant woman gone missing. A Facebook group for young mothers. According to a local news outlet, Stamford Advocate , Shaniqua Jordan’s, 32, of Brooklyn, 2017 fraud case was extradited from New York City to Stamford this week. She is being charged with third-degree larceny, four counts of illegal use of a credit card, forgery, criminal attempt at first and second-degree larceny and three counts of identity theft. Documents from the case claim Jordan made multiple purchases on someone else’s debit card while opening additional accounts without her knowledge or permission. The accused influencer allegedly tried to make $54,000 in fraudulent purchases and $3,300 worth of purchases had gone through. When Jordan arrived at the facility and presented a license in the identity victim’s name, she was arrested. Yikes! Source: Jerritt Clark / Getty Shannade Clermont Facing Prison Time For Raiding Dead Man’s Bank Account After “Paid Date” Yeezy model turned admitted swindler Shannade Clermont has begged for mercy ahead of her sentencing next week in her fraud case. The social media star pled guilty in November to felony wire fraud and access device fraud after admitting she’d stolen her deceased victim’s credit card after what the feds called a “prostitution date” to embark on a $22,000 six-month-long shopping spree. Clermont’s lawyer asked for a lenient sentence because his client had led a law-abiding life up until the fraud, and claimed she did it out of desperation and extreme financial hardship, according to court papers filed Thursday and obtained by BOSSIP. Instead of the 12- 18 months in federal prison that she agreed to as part of her plea, her lawyer, Jeffrey Lichtman asked that she serve half the time behind bars and the rest of her sentence under house arrest or on probation. Lichtman argued that Clermont started a foundation to help people with mental illness, supported her family and friends and was a beacon of strength to her twin sister, Shannon. Source: Vivien Killilea / Getty Her court paperwork also includes character letters from 20 people, attesting to her “strong moral character” and “heart of gold.” “Defendant Shannade Clermont comes before this court asking for mercy,” her court papers state. “A life filled with good deeds and hard work had been marred by her criminal actions. Nevertheless, as the powerful enclosed letters reveal, Ms. Clermont is an uncommonly decent and giving young woman, and unlike many defendants, has made very sincerer efforts to help family, friends and even strangers throughout her life.” Clermont had initially faced four felony charges, but under a deal with the government, she only pled guilty to two charges and had the others dismissed. Although wire fraud carries a sentence of up to 20 years, the judge told Clermont that the government agreed to a sentence of 12-18 months in federal prison, restitution and up to $55,000 in fines.

When it launches the service will feature over 100 exclusive titles and a bevy of cool features, but we don’t know exactly how much it will cost you. Apple Arcade’s primary focus is to help gamers discover new games which used to be a task in the App Store because there is just so many to choose from once you start searching. Apple Arcade will give subscribers a new tab to explore the games that would otherwise get buried in the App Store. Part of the money that comes from the subscriptions will help fund the developers who made the games. Once you are subscribed the games will be all-you-can-play meaning outside of the subscription fee, you won’t have to dish out an additional penny for DLC or any other updates. You will also be able to play all titles offline, so if you are always on the go, this is a huge deal. Subscribers can also play the games across Apple’s family of devices which includes, iPhones, iPads, Macs and Apple TV and can even pick up exactly where you left off in the game before you switched the device. As far as games are concerned Apple did show a glimpse of a new Sonic game, a reimagined version of the Arcade classic Frogger. Apple has done some heavy recruiting as far as studios are concerned with Annapurna Interactive, Bossa Studios, Cartoon Network, Finji, Giant Squid, Klei Entertainment, Konami, Lego, MIstwalker Corporation, Sega, Snowman, ustwo games, and others helping bring exclusive titles to the service. Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, Ken Wong, and Will Wright are all on board to help deliver unique titles out the 100 that are coming when the service launches in this fall. Again no price has been revealed, but we are definitely curious to see how Apple Arcade will stack up against Google’s recently announced Stadia video game streaming service. On top of the couple losing all of their finances, their relationship is plummeting right along with it. We learn from Radar that American Express Bank filed a ‘writ of execution order’ on January 4 asking the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office Department to take possession of $88,246.55 that Tori still owes. AmEx isn’t the only lender coming after the family, Spelling and McDermott are also being sued by City National Bank for allegedly failing to pay back a $400,000 loan. As a result, Radar reported that the troubling duo had a “blowout fight” in the wake of their financial mess. Spelling “screamed at Dean to get out of her life and not come back until he gets a job,” a source revealed. “She is sick and tired of their financial situations that they can’t climb out of.” The couples’ last big fight supposedly happened a week ago, just months after Radar shared “that the 45-year-old reality star kicked her hubby out of the house during the holidays. It’s easy to assume Spelling is dealing with some denial and shopping withdrawals, but meanwhile, her husband has resorted to extra measures to try and save their family financially. He is working in construction while also continuing to look for work as an actor. Tori, however, “thinks Dean is past his prime” and should be looking for other forms of work. But, cut him some slack! It’s not McDermott’s fault that Spelling grew up “rich beyond anyone’s wildest dreams” and never knew anything else. Like, how to pay a bill. But after racking up seven figures of credit card debt, we can only hope that the couple will learn how to manage whatever money they do make it out within the future. While McDermott continues to job hunt, Spelling is desperately trying to sell her reboot of Beverly Hills 90210 and Deadline says its already in the works. The reboot is supposedly featuring a number of original cast members alongside Spelling, including Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, and Brian Austin Green. We hope the show makes a prosperous comeback! Mainly so Dean can stop doing construction. The opportunity may also give the parents another chance to try and set a good example for their five young children. You know, on how NOT to be absolutely terrible with money management one day. Money may not solve all problems. But, in this case, it definitely does.
