Aundrea Fimbres: Engaged, Leaving Danity Kane

Aundrea Fimbres has good news and bad news. The good news, personally? She’s engaged. The bad news, for fans of Danity Kane? She will therefore be leaving the group. “I can tell you that two dreams of mine [have] been to be a singer and be on stage like this and to have a family,” Fimbres told the audience at a show in San Francisco last week. “Well, in a couple months, that’s all coming true. I’m about to get married and I have this beautiful new little girl with me.” She then introduced her future step-daughter. The artist then explained what this will mean for her career. “I’ve gotten to do some amazing things with Danity Kane, but it’s time for me to start the next chapter in my life. So I thank you guys from the bottom of my heart…I love you so much.” Danity Kane, will continue to “kill it” in her absence, Aundrea assured the crowd. Remaining members in the group founded by Diddy on MTV’s Making the Band now include Shannon Bex, Aubrey O’Day and Dawn Richard. Danity Kane’s 13-date domestic tour resumed yesterday and continues through early June.

It aint over… Dawn Richard And Aubrey O’Day Reunite After 5 Years The break-up of former Bad Boy girl group Danity Kane was arguably the most memorable of any group that was a product of the “Making The Band” era. The group saw a total of three seasons of Making The Band, two platinum and gold-selling albums, and host of fans before they were disbanded before millions of viewers on the final episode of MTB 3 , which ended with Dawn Richard and Aundrea Fimbres being the last two members standing. Aundrea eventually faded to black, leaving Dawn as the only member signed to Bad Boy and still trying to make it without her former group members. While Dawn went on to join Diddy’s “Dirty Money” trio that followed in the footsteps of most acts signed to Bad Boy, only managing a lifespan of a few years, the only other member of Danity Kane to continue making headlines was wild child group member and rumored Diddy bust down Aubrey O’Day. Dawn never really said much about her relationship with her other group members as she continued under the Diddy reign, but Aubrey went on record more than once hinting that she was none too pleased with Dawn’s decision to stick it out at Bad Boy . Fast forward to 2013, and Dawn is now a solo artist, while Aubrey is still doing…….whatever it is that she does. But after five years of silence and reportedly bitter feelings between the two, Dawn and Aubrey recently reunited and put their past feelings aside. The singer took to Twitter on New Year’s to make the announcement, two days after a clip of her new song hit the Internet. And with the help of her forthcoming Oxygen reality show , the former Danity Kane singer is intent on showcasing her return to the music scene. Perhaps taking a page from Lady Gaga , the starlet took to Twitter on New Year’s Day to make a big announcement about her new series. “OH My lovely fans… My reality show on Oxygen is called ‘All About Aubrey’!” she tweeted shortly after midnight. With the reality show airing in the coming months, fans can expect to hear lots of new music from the 26-year-old songstress. Her latest musical offering to hit the Internet is sure to make Danity Kane fans squirm, as O’Day has reunited with her former bandmate Aundrea Fimbres for a duet called “Ego Trippin.” A clip of the tune hit the Internet on Thursday. On the retro-sounding number, the “Aubrea” duo team up for some girl power as they take a few stabs at their self-absorbed boyfriends. “Your ego is trippin/ I think you need to bring it down (Turn your ego down)/ Your ego is trippin/ That’s why I don’t want you around (I don’t want you around),” the gals sing together. When MTV News caught up with Ms. O’Day back in October , the singer admitted that viewers can expect to see her in her always honest and blunt glory on the reality series. “Well, Oxygen’s motto is living out loud, so I would say you’re going to see Aubrey O’Day living out loud,” she explained. “I don’t think I’ve not done that, but obviously my voice is a bit outspoken, and I really don’t play by anyone’s rules, so I think you’ll see a lot of that rebellious tendency that I have.” Are you excited to watch ‘All About Aubrey’ and hear more new music from the singer?
