Pharrell Williams Had A Message For Certain White People At The ‘Hip Hop Honors’

Source: Emma McIntyre / Getty Pharrell had a lot to say on VH1’s most recent Hip Hop Honors . This year’s show honored the game changers of the 90s and Pharrell was set to introduce legendary music video director Hype Williams . However, Skateboard P took the time to call out an alarming issue — racism. “Everybody at home right now watching this, and acting like ya’ll don’t see what’s going on out there. Ya’ll got to open your eyes,” Pharrell started. “You keep saying you don’t see what’s going on on television, what’s happening to us. Open your eyes. And if you look like I look, then you know how we got here. But we’re here, and we’re not leaving. So what are we going to do?”   Pharrell then went on to address a particular group — probably a certain population of White people — and warned them that folks in power don’t have their best interest at heart. “Don’t think because they’re coming at the African-Americans and the Jewish community and the Hispanics that it can’t be you too just cause you look like them. They’re using you,” Pharrell said. He continued, “You should understand ’they’ can change their minds and it might not be about Black, White, big, skinny or small. It could be about facial features. It might be about hair color. Don’t act like they didn’t do that before.” Skateboard P ended by apologizing for taking up time with politics, but he felt like it was important to say something: “This is where we are right now. Me, I’m just a tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny, little musician. Like little small, tiny musician, but I’m African American. African means that’s what’s in me, American means thats where I am right now. So if this is where I am and this is America, it’s for liberty and justice for all.” You can watch Pharrell’s words for yourself below.

JWoww Kalls Out Kim Kardashian

JWoww roughed up Sammi on this week’s Jersey Shore . But lest you think she was done throwing down for the week, she had some words for Kim Kardashian as well. Specifically Kim’s newer, fuller lips. The MTV celebrity has no tolerance for stars who won’t “man up” to having work done, writing “Funny how stars don’t man up to plastic surgery.” “I did. Blaming it on colds, etc. is just hysterical. Get real!” Amusingly, Heidi Montag, who famously underwent 10 plastic surgeries in one day, re-tweeted this comment. Kim says she’s never tried to hide anything. “I’m the first one to talk about anything that I do,” she told Extra. “It really pisses me off that all of these plastic surgery rumors are always linked to me.” “I have the flu,” Kardashian explained of her plumper pout. “I’m puffy and swollen, and I have no make-up on. Why would I just do my bottom lip?” Kim? Upset about rumors involving her? We doubt it. Still, JWoww has a point. Just because Kim’s 2sexy2tweet doesn’t mean she has to lie about it.

Might Justin Bieber Go Insane?

Debbie Gibson knows a thing or two dozen about success as a teenager. At the age of 17, she became the youngest singer to write, produce and release a number-one hit on the Billboard 100. So at least this 40-year old is speaking from experience when she says of Justin Bieber’s fame: “It’s too much too soon. People have to remember, even though a kid can be wise beyond their years professionally and can handle showbiz, emotionally you’re not developed.” Justin Bieber is mature for his age. The kid has a mustache! Gibson only has Bieber’s best interest in mind, fearing the cute idol will “lose his sanity” at this rate, although Justin says he’s already there . “If I could get all these kids in a room, I’d tell them you’re not superhuman,” Gibson told E! News. “If you need to take a week off, take a week off. Everybody makes you think the world will end and it won’t. If you say no, you save your sanity later.” Bieber, of course, has no plans to slow down. His 3D biopic hits theaters in February. So far, this 16-year appears to have his head on straight, although the same thing can’t always be said of his fans. Case in point .
