White Flag: Was A Kim Kardashian Phone Call The Real Reason Amber Rose And Blac Chyna’s Reality Show Was Cancelled?

Kim Kardashian’s Truce Allegedly Caused Amber Rose And Blac Chyna To Cancel Reality Show We recently reported that the impending Amber Rose and Blac Chyna reality TV show was 86’ed after their friendship took a turn for the worse. However, a report from RadarOnline suggests that a peace treaty phone call from Kim Kardashian might have actually been the nail in the coffin… The knocked-up Kardashian allegedly called Amber after hearing her forgive Kanye for his “30 showers” comment at her Slut Walk. Last week, the pregnant reality beauty – whose husband Kanye West infamously dated Rose prior to getting married to Kardashian – decided to call a truce following Rose’s tearful “Slut Walk” speech, in which she “forgave” West for slamming her after their breakup. Now, Radar has learned that “Kim has spoken to Amber Rose this past weekend. She wanted to let her know that she and Kanye both thought that it took a lot of courage to do what she did and that they are both ready to move on from the drama and start fresh.” Apparently, this struck a chord with the bald-headed former stripper, as the source says, “Not long after, Amber Rose decided to pull the plug on her and Blac’s reality show.” The duo cited busy schedules but the insider claims there was another reason: “Without being able to trash the Kardashians, they just felt like their show does not have much weight any more,” says the source. Meanwhile, the Kardashians are thrilled. You buyin’ that Kim’s call took the pi$$ and vinegar out of Amber and Blac Chyna’s Kardashian-bashing? Image via AKM-GSI

A Lil Positivity: Black Engineer Joins Forces With Non-Profits To Bring More Minorities To The Tech Industry

Black Engineers Makinde Adeagbo Creates Non-Profit To Help Blacks In Tech How important are Black people in STEM careers ? Makinde Adeagbo knows how isolating it can be to live and work in Silicon Valley as Black man . The techie says it’s even more isolating to be a software engineer in the sea of white faces… Via Good Black News : Adeagbo, who is an engineer at the San Francisco company Pinterest, says he can go weeks without spotting another black engineer in America’s tech hub. “It’s not only that you are the only black person in the room or in the company, often times you are the only black person you see in Palo Alto or Menlo Park,” says Adeagbo, 30. About 1% of engineers at Facebook and Google are African American. The population of Palo Alto, Calif. is 2% African American, Menlo Park, Calif., is under 5%. Adeagbo says he hit on the idea while volunteering as a mentor to a couple of computer science students. “These students knew they had someone who had their backs, whom they could look up to and reach out to when they needed help. I thought to myself: Every black software engineer could accomplish a lot if they had someone like this,” says Adeagbo. . The name /dev/color is a reference to a common directory on computer systems “as well as our efforts to strengthen the community of Black software engineers, engineers of color,” he says. Adeagbo’s /dev/color is joining Black Girls Code, Code 2040 and the Hidden Genius Project, a new and growing wave of enterprising organizations founded by African Americans aimed at addressing the scarcity of African Americans in the tech industry. “Other black software engineers need to provide this for the black engineers coming behind them,” says Adeagbo, who is splitting his time between /dev/color and Pinterest. “We all need to work together to pull ourselves up and make sure we are accomplishing all that we can.” #BlackSTEMLivesMatter
