As he embarks on his journey to womanhood, Bruce Jenner has the support of Kim Kardashian and his entire family. But the same cannot be said of Doyle Brunson. In a Tweet we didn’t exactly see coming, the legendary poker player went online this weekend and express disdain for Jenner’s decision to change genders. “I can’t believe Bruce Jenner is trying to become a woman? He was a hero of mine since I was involved in track long ago. #Sayitsnottrue,” Brunson Tweeted yesterday. Jenner, of course, won the Gold Medal in the decathlon at the 1976 Summer Olympics. He had a long, impressive, nationally-acclaimed athletic career prior to becoming a punching bag on Keeping Up with the Kardashians . “this man was an Olympic champion that set all kind of records. That’s a woman? My hero? Come on!” Brunson added. As you might expect, his viewpoint prompted some major outrage on social media, but the 81-year old didn’t back down in the face of criticism. “He may still be some people’s hero, but not me,” concluded the two-time World Series of Poker champion. Jenner is set to open up about his sex change via an upcoming interview with Diane Sawyer. Bruce Jenner: Not Under Any Influences at Time of Crash

Bruce Jenner was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of his fatal car accident last Saturday . Authorities tell TMZ that the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has determined Jenner had nothing in his system when his Escalade rear-ended another vehicle on the highway. In fact, his blood-alcohol level was 0.0. “He was balanced out. He wasn’t under the influence. We know that,” one law enforcement official says. Jenner was involved in a multi-car pile-up a few days ago, as the Lexus in front of him slammed on its brakes to avoid hitting the car that had stopped suddenly in front of it . Jenner, however, was unable to stop his black Escalade in time. He slammed into the Lexus, which was being driven by 69-year old Kim Howe , sending it into the oncoming lane of traffic, where a Hummer crashed into it head-on. Howe, a neighbor of the Kardashians in Calabasas, was pronounced dead at the scene. “My heartfelt and deepest sympathies go out to the family and loved ones, and to all of those who were involved or injured in this terrible accident,” Jenner said via statement the next day, adding: “It is a devastating tragedy and I cannot pretend to imagine what this family is going through at this time. I am praying for them. I will continue to cooperate in every way possible.” There has been unsubstantiated chatter that Jenner may have been on sex change hormones at the time of the accident and these may have also played a role in the tragedy. As you’ve no doubt heard by now, Bruce Jenner’s sex change has been confirmed, and the former Olympian is coming out in style. The E! network has reportedly already begun production on a reality show about Bruce’s transition , and the news is on the cover of every tabloid in America. Many have praised Jenner for his bravery in dealing with the amount of attention he’s received in recent weeks, but some members of the transgender community believe Bruce should be ashamed of himself for what they see as an opportunistic cash grab. Noted journalist and helicopter pilot Zoey Tur completed her own transition last year, and she’s speaking out against Bruce, claiming that he’s using his transition to boost his career.
