Fox & Friends First Anchor Refers to UConn as "NAACP" Champions

OOPS! On Fox News’ Fox & Friends First this morning, co-host Heather Childers sent her congratulations to the Connecticut Huskies for defeating the Kentucky Wildcats last night and winning the “NAACP” championship and… wait… what?!? Yes, Childers accidentally referred to UConn as the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People” champs, as opposed to the toast of the National Collegiate Athletic Association world. She quickly apologized on Twitter (“totally on me. I’m a huge sports fan. Was excited about #UCONN’s win, misspoke but immediately corrected it. Fifi Geldof Mourns Peaches: My Beautiful Baby Sister, I Love You …

The late Peaches Geldof’s relatives are struggling to come to grips with their grief in the wake of the UK journalist, socialite and media personality’s death. Peaches’ sister Fifi Geldof memorialized her sibling on Instagram today, writing: “My beautiful baby sister… Gone but never forgotten. I love you, Peaches x.” Peaches Geldof died Monday. Her death is under investigation by police. Geldof was pronounced dead by paramedics who were called to her London home, though officials told the AP that they do not consider her death suspicious. Geldof’s father, singer-songwriter Bob Geldof , said he is “beyond pain.” “She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and most bonkers of all of us,” he said. “What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again?” “How is that bearable? We loved her and will cherish her forever.” Peaches Geldof Dies Her husband Thomas Cohen said in his own statement Monday: “My beloved wife Peaches was adored by myself and her two sons Astala and Phaedra. I shall bring them up with their mother in their hearts everyday.” The former model is also being tragically compared to her late mother, the former TV presenter and writer Paula Yates, who died at age 41 in 2000. Prepare to smile and to cry, dog lovers. Earlier this year, Riina Cooke received the news that her nine-year old Boxer, Romeo, had been diagnosed with inoperable bone cancer. Owner Creates Dog Bucket List for Dying Pet In response, she took an unusual step that has caused the sad story to go viral: Cooke comprised a bucket list for Romeo, treating him to such doggy delights as a pedicure… a cheeseburger… a ride in a police car and many other treats. Romeo passed away on March 16, but Cooke told CBC News that she’s trying to focus on the positives of their concluding weeks together. “I’m hoping our situation will bring some light to other people who are going through the same thing,” she said, adding on Facebook soon after Romeo’s passing, Don’t cry because it’s over.
