AP Source: Feds suing to stop Ariz. immigrant law

The U.S. Justice Department is filing a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of Arizona's tough new law targeting illegal immigrants. The planned lawsuit was confirmed to The Associated Press by a Justice Department official with knowledge of the plans. The official didn't want to be identified before a public announcement planned for later Tuesday. The lawsuit will argue that Arizona's new measure requiring state and local police to question and possibly arrest illegal immigrants during the enforcement of other laws, like traffic stops, usurps federal authority. Tuesday's action has been expected for weeks. President Barack Obama has called the state law misguided. Senator Burr Pulled Out of Gulf Covered in Oil

Republican Sen. Richard Burr is the target of a new TV ad campaign that ties him to the oil industry and the Gulf of Mexico spill. A coalition of four environmental, labor and veterans groups began airing an ad today showing an oil-covered man – identified as Burr – being pulled out of the ocean like a sea bird. Porn film shot in London hospital

A “big budget” porn film has been shot in a London hospital, one of it's wards was hired out to a film company. Tory MP Penny Mordaunt said the movie generated “substantial income” for the hospital NHS Kensington and Chelsea said the incident occurred before 2002 when the primary care trust formed. The long wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have been back in the news recently, and we just had the bizarre spectacle of the Republican National Committee Chairman saying he didn't like Obama's war in Afghanistan, while the DNC chastised him for failing to support the troops.
