Brendan Dassey wrote a handwritten note to Wisconsin’s Governor Tony Evers asking to be pardoned or commutated from his life prison sentence. As previously reported Dassey was 16 years old when he confessed to the 2005 rape and murder of photographer Teresa Halbach alongside his uncle Steven Avery. The then-teenager also said he helped burn her body in a bonfire. NBC News reports that Dassey recently told Gov. Evers that he’s innocent and deserves to be released. “I am writing to ask for a pardon because I am innocent and want to go home,” Dassey said in a handwritten note to Evers that accompanied his application. Dassey congratulated Evers, a Democrat who took office in January, on becoming governor. Dassey also listed things he enjoys including Pokemon and hamburgers and drew a pair of hearts with the word “hugs” in one and “love” in the other. A spokeswoman for the governor also added that the Governor is not considering a pardon “at this time” but Dassey’s attorney Laura Nirider is hoping for an exception. This all comes amid allegations that the TRUE killer of Teresa Halbach has come forward. Newsweek reports that an inmate who remains anonymous told filmmakers of upcoming documentary series “Convicting a Murderer” that he was responsible for the infamous death. Shawn Rech, director of Convicting a Murderer, told Newsweek his crew were given the confession while filming the documentary series. “We haven’t confirmed the legitimacy of the confession, but seeing as it was given by a notable convicted murderer from Wisconsin, we feel responsible to deliver any and all possible evidence to law enforcement and legal teams,” he told Newsweek. “Having been in production for 20 months, we’ve uncovered an unfathomable amount of information and evidence that is leading us to the truth. The former cop was just handed down a 10-year sentence by a Dallas jury after hearing character witnesses from both sides and deliberating. Her victim Botham Jean’s friends and family told the jury he was a “natural leader” and added that his 28th birthday would’ve been this Sunday. “My life has not been the same,” Botham’s mom Allison Jean told the jury. ““It’s just been like a roller coaster. I can’t sleep, I cannot eat. It’s just been the most terrible time for me.” Guyger was facing anywhere between 5 years to a life sentence. This isn’t the outcome we hoped for at all. BOSSIP covered one of those fatal shootings earlier this year when police in Colorado Springs shot De’Von Bailey dead while he was running AWAY from their trigger-happy a$$es. A vast majority of incidents where cops discharge their weapons are hardly covered despite the fact that, wait for it, 60% of these shootings results in death! SIXTY PERCENT! To date, no cops have been killed or charged with a crime in these shootings and the prosecutors consider each and every shooting to be 100% justified. Let’s just do the math, 60% of 51 is a little over 30 dead bodies. Now, we don’t know the details of each shooting, but it’s hard to fathom that there are THAT many people putting police in harms way to the extent that all 30+ people had to be killed. Of the 51 incidents 12 of them took place in January and 10 of those happened in 8 days from January 9 to 16. What in the name of Smith & Wesson is going on with Colorado cops and how is the news NOT covering this?!?!

The woman who was sentenced to life in prison at 16 years old for killing her sex trafficker will be released from prison next week. USA Today reports that Cyntoia will be released Wednesday after being incarcerated at The Tennessee Prison for Women for 15 years. As previously reported Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam granted her clemency in January after her case made national headlines and celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Rihanna drew attention to her story. Cyntoia’s sentence will be commuted to parole where she will stay under state supervision for the next 10 years. His fiance Ashlie Stapleton told NBC Chicago that she desperately wants to find her future husband after he disappeared while boating Saturday on Lake Michigan. According to Ashlie, their reservation was from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., but she and Arthur who were part of a group decided to extend it by an hour. Arthur apparently left all his belongings on a boat they were on and hopped onto another—and that was the last time Ashlie saw him. Ashlie added that everyone in the group thought all the boats on the water that day would go back to the same beach they left from—except that was not the case. “Based on correspondence that I’ve heard, he was under the impression that everyone went back to 31st Street…we later found out that some might have docked at Diversy Harbor and Hammond, Indiana…we don’t really know where,” she said. “We just need to know where he could be…whether there was an accident…please reach out to the detectives…if no one else needs him his daughter does,” she said.
