Liberty Ross Blog Entry Hints at Split from Rupert Sanders

Forget the future of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart for a moment. We may have a window into the other relationship affected by the latter’s cheating lips: model Liberty Ross appears close to leaving director Rupert Sanders. We base this evaluation solely on Ross’ online blog for Vogue UK , the most recent edition of which features nothing but a photo of an eagle with its wings spread. It certainly seems like someone is ready to fly away, doesn’t it? Previous reports had claimed that Ross was willing to forgive her husband , but visitors to her blog are apparently proud of her for letting go. “Soar high, darling,” one comment reads, while another adds: “Free as a bird? Good luck to you Liberty.” What do YOU think Ross should do? Should she divorce Sanders?

‘Teen Mom’ Amber Portwood Is ‘Safe’

After hospitalization earlier this week, Amber is ‘getting the help she needs right now,’ Shirley writes. By MTV News Staff Amber Portwood and baby Leah Photo: Scott Gries “Teen Mom” star Amber Portwood seems to be recovering and is currently getting treatment after she reportedly attempted suicide earlier this week. Gary Shirley, the father of their daughter, Leah, took to Twitter on Thursday to update everyone on the 21-year-old’s condition. “Amber is safe and getting the help she needs right now,” he wrote . “Thanks for your prayers and support.” MTV confirmed that Portwood had been hospitalized earlier this week. “Our understanding is that Amber has been admitted to a local hospital but we have not been able to confirm the accuracy of any reports being circulated and are waiting for further details,” said a statement. People.com reports that Portwood was taken to a hospital near her home in Indiana on Tuesday (June 14). And police told RadarOnline.com that “Portwood was depressed and threatening to end her life” when they received a call about her. “The victim, who did not appear to be injured, was transported to a local medical facility for further evaluation.” Little else is known about her current condition, but in an interview with People.com last year, Portwood talked about her struggles. [LINK “I don’t think I’m bipolar, to be honest with you,” she said. “I’m just really outgoing. I think everybody thinks they’re bipolar these days. You’re a teenager, you have hormones. You’re gonna switch up every two seconds!” Last December, Portwood was arrested and charged with felony domestic battery and child neglect, stemming from actions captured on the reality television series. An investigation into Portwood’s behavior was opened after she was seen abusing Shirley on the show, both physically and verbally, twice in front of their child. People struggling with a history of depression or other emotional health issues are more likely to consider or attempt suicide.

Jay-Z Says ‘Kanye Spoke What Everyone Felt’ During Hurricane Katrina

Jay tells NPR he finds it ‘strange’ the lowest point of George W. Bush’s presidency was ‘somebody talking about him.’ By Kara Warner Jay-Z Photo: Bryan Bedder/Getty Images Jay-Z continued to promote his new book, “Decoded,” on Tuesday (November 16) with an interview on NPR’s “Fresh Air,” where he addressed many topics, including former President George W. Bush’s recent comments about Jay’s good friend Kanye West. Bush’s admission that West’s Hurricane Katrina rant was the low point of his presidency struck Jay-Z as odd. “First, I find it strange, like everyone else should, that one of his lowest points was somebody talking about him,” Jay-Z said of Kanye’s infamous “George Bush doesn’t care about black people” comment. “He’s the president. People should insult him a lot. That’s part of the job description.” He went on to reiterate an excerpt from “Decoded” in which he talks about how the mishandling of the rescue/relief efforts after Hurricane Katrina affected him. “It didn’t feel like a natural disaster; it felt like it was happening directly to blacks, and immediately those images of people in suits getting beaten, sprayed with hoses, beaten on the bridge at Selma, all these emotions were going on inside of us,” Jay said. “Kanye really spoke what everyone else felt.” The NPR interviewer also asked Jay for his evaluation of President Obama’s work thus far, and he said Bush’s legacy — “the worst eight years of our life” — was a big obstacle for Obama to overcome. “I think he’s had so many challenges,” he said. “I applaud his efforts and where he’s going. Of course, it’s not 100 percent, but you have to take into context what he inherited and what he’s working with. He’s in the negative, and if you think he can fix eight years of damage in two years, I don’t know if that’s realistic.” Do you agree with Jay-Z about President Bush’s comments?
