I even like the shot of her in the one-piece, which is strange because nobody looks good in a one-piece. I must be in love.

Reeve Carney and Ashley Greene: New Couple Alert!

Reeve Carney has swung into the arms of Ashley Greene. Sources confirm to Us Weekly that the star of Broadway’s Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark is now dating the Twilight Saga beauty. “Ashley has been pining after Reeve for a long time,” an insider says . “She’s super close with Reeve’s family and loves spending time with Paris, his sister, when they’re both in L.A.” Carney has previously been linked to his on-stage love interest, Jennifer Damiano, while Greene, of course, is the ex-girlfriend of Joe Jonas. She now resides in New York City and hit up PH-D at Dream Downtown on Tuesday night, where Ashley requested DJ Marco play LMFAO’s “Sexy And I Know It” so she could get down with her new man. Hot! Am I supposed to know who Angela Simmons Is? Because I haven’t got a clue. I’m no expert on this kind of thing, but I’m pretty sure she’s not related to Gene Simmons or Richard Simmons, just a hunch. Anyhow, whoever she is, she spent part of the weekend hanging out on the beach in a weird bikini/swimsuit get up that you normally only see on overweight strippers trying to hide their cesarean scars. Luckily Angela manages to make this thing look good. Keep up the good work.

I don’t know why she’s there, maybe she’s on a TV show I need to start watching, but I think she’s just become my new internet crush. Graham Greene’s 1938 masterpiece Brighton Rock is an enduring curio of fiction: A literary pulp novel ahead of its time, a gangland allegory of sin and the cost of redemption, and perhaps most fascinating, a pre-WWII oracle anticipating the traumatic British century to come. It’s a prism through which all the harrowing perils of class strife, organized crime and romantic love bend and refract into Greene’s glowing white weave of language, which, when projected onto a screen, have yielded both an equally classic 1947 screen adaptation and now Rowan Joffe’s troubled updating.
