Stevie Wonder Performs A Duet In Hotel Lobby With Guitar Player Imagine singing a classic Beyoncé song for a few folks in a crowded bar, you get to the second verse, forget the words, then you realize that Beyoncé has been watching you. That’s basically what happened to Grayson Erhard, but with Stevie f**king Wonder. According to Billboard the icon was shuffling through the lobby of the Anaheim Marriott and heard Erhard having a tough time with one of his most famous songs, “Superstition”. So what does Stevie do? Matt Roberts, former guitarist for the popular rock band 3 Doors Down, has passed away at the age of 38. Matt’s father, Darrell Roberts, broke the news online just moments ago. Matt left the band in 2012 due to health issues, but continued to tour with other groups and as a solo artist. Darrell Roberts tells TMZ that his son Darrell was scheduled to perform in Wisconsin today and rehearsed with other musicians until late last night. Father and son returned to their hotel, where Darrell says he was woken around 9 am by detectives who informed him that Matt had passed away . Prescription painkillers were found on the scene. Darrell says that both he and the authorities believe Matt’s apparent overdose was accidental. At this time, no official ruling has been made with regard to the cause of death. The results of a planned autopsy will likely be released next week. Roberts was with 3 Doors Down when the band rose to international fame with their 2000 hit “Kryptonite.” He stuck with the group for their subsequent best-selling singles “Here Without You” and “When I’m Gone.” The video for the latter song – a tribute to American war veterans – has been viewed more than 40 million times on YouTube: 3 Doors Down: “When I’m Gone” His musical talents and signature spiked blonde hair made Roberts one of the band’s most popular members. Darrell Roberts says his son’s fan base remained devoted even after he was forced to leave the band. He adds that Matt was “deeply beloved” by family and friends and described the loss as “devastating.” Tributes from fans and colleagues began pouring in on social media just minutes after news of Matt’s death was made public. Four people were injured and one left dead on Wednesday night after multiple shots were fired during at a T.I. concert in New York City. The incident took place at Irving Plaza around 10 p.m. According to NBC, a 34-year old man was shot in the chest… a 33-year old man was shot in the stomach… and a 26-year old woman was shot in the left leg. None of their names have been released, nor has the name of the one fatality. But we can confirm the victim was 33 years old and that everyone who took a bullet was transported to Bellevue Hospital. The official Instagram account for TheYeshivaWorld.com actually has shared footage from the concert, seemingly just as the gunshots rang out. Insiders backstage tell TMZ that an argument broke out just prior to one of the opening acts taking the stage. Someone allegedly brandished a gun and folks behind the scenes then scrambled into the crowd as the shots were fired. “I think T.I. was about to go on. Right when he was about to go on, I heard two gunshots and right after there was a stampede,” a concertgoer told The New York Times. “There were at least three rounds after, but after the second one was when people started running.” At this time, police say they don’t know how many shooters were involved and they have no suspects.

Earlier this week, we reported that Justin Bieber ended his feud with Taylor Swift by appealing to her ego. The Biebs took to Instagram to croon one of Taylor’s earliest hits, “Teardrops on My Guitar,” and it looks like the shameless ploy to get back into her good graces was somewhat effective. Taylor eventually “liked” the clip, though it’s worth noting that the usually-effusive singer didn’t offer any praise in the comments section. Fans know that the feud between Swift and Bieber dates back to around the time Justin first started getting romantic with Selena Gomez. It seems Taylor knew Justin was trouble when he walked in, and she cautioned her against taking him back after each of the many times the couple broke up. In fact, sources say Justin blames Taylor for the fact that he and Selena are no longer together. So what does it mean that Justin reached out (in a very small way) to Taylor on Instagram this week? Well, some believe it’s the latest effort in Justin’s ongoing campaign to win Selena back . As we’ve learned from all of his other public feuds, Justin is rarely the first to apologize. He reached out to Seth Rogen during their random intra-Canadian beef, but only because he wanted the comic to appear at his Comedy Central Roast. It seems the M.O. is that Justin will bury the hatchet – but only if he wants something. We’re guessing that in this case, what he wants is a second chance with Selena. And clearly he feels that Taylor is the one who can give him that chance. The whole thing is clearly part of Bieber’s effort to prove that he’s matured. Nick Menza, a musician best known as the drummer of Megadeth in the 1990s, died Saturday after reportedly collapsing on stage during a Los Angeles concert. He was 51 years old. According to CNN and other outlets, Menza was playing drums with his band OHM at The Baked Potato on Saturday night, May 21 when he suddenly collapsed during the third song of the set. Paramedics arrived on the scene, but were unable to revive him after trying for 45 minutes. He was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. Here is what a statement by Menza’s management team said soon after the tragedy took place. “Nick collapsed during the third song into a set with his band OHM. “Earliest reports indicate he suffered a massive heart attack and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.” The Los Angeles venue itself was among the first to address the sad situation, writing, “RIP Nick Menza,” on its Facebook page. Upon learning of the news on Sunday morning, the band’s co-founder, Dave Muscatine, took to Twitter to mourn his former bandmate. “TELL ME THIS ISN’T TRUE!” he wrote. “I woke at 4 AM to hear Nick Menza passed away on 5/21 playing his drums w/Ohm at the Baked Potato. #nickmenzarip.” Former Megadeth guitarist Marty Friedman also jumped on media to grieve Menza’s passing. “We all know the great and unique drummer that Nick Menza was, but he was also a trustworthy friend, a hilarious bandmate, as well as a very loving dad,” he wrote, adding: “I’m beyond sad, did not see this coming at all.
