Ryan Edwards Arrest Details: He Drank, He Dashed, He Got Caught

It's very easy to make Ryan Edwards jokes right now. The former Teen Mom star just got arrested for the umpteenth time for drug possession and may be headed back to prison. But Maci Bookout's ex-husband and Mackenzie Standifer's current husband clearly has a legitimate problem. He has an addiction. He also has a newborn son at home. The poor little guy. So we aren't gonna blast Ryan here, we're just gonna relay the latest from his arrest. Courtesy of a Chattanooga Police Department report obtained by Radar Online, here is what we now know… 1. This is What Prompted the Arrest: A Bud’s Sports Bar server contacted the authorities after Edwards drank and dashed on December 19, 2018. 2. What Does That Mean? It means Edwards skipped out on his restaurant tab. He tried not to pay it. 3. How Much Did He Owe? “Edwards had ordered six Jack Daniels Whiskey drinks, totaling $36, and left without paying for them” the report reads. (That’s a pretty good deal for whiskey drinks, we agree.) 4. For How Long Was He at the Bar? From noon to 4 p.m., police say. 5. From There… An officer tracked down Ryan through the Criminal Justice Portal and the server confirmed his identity through this photo. A warrant was issued for his arrest. 6. Cue the Arrest The father of two was arrested on January 23, 2019. Hamilton County charged him with theft of services and held him on $500 bond. Ryan was also charged with possession of heroin from a Red Bank warrant. He’s being held on no bond for the second charge. View Slideshow

No Justice: Mistrial Declared In Fatal Police Shooting Of Unarmed #SamDubose

Here we go again… Sam Dubose Shooting Case Declared A Mistrial The former police officer who fatally shot unarmed Sam Dubose just got a break. Ray Tensing, who claimed he feared for his life when Dubose drove away during a traffic stop, could walk free after a jury became deadlocked on voluntary manslaughter and murder charges. SIGH CBS News reports: A mistrial was declared Saturday in the case of a white former Ohio police officer who was accused of murder in the fatal shooting of a black man during a traffic stop last year. The fired University of Cincinnati police officer said he feared for his life when Sam DuBose, 43, tried to drive away after being stopped for a missing front license plate on July 19, 2015. Prosecutors wanted jurors to conclude 26-year-old Ray Tensing “purposely” killed DuBose. On Friday, the jury told Shanahan they couldn’t reach a decision on murder or voluntary manslaughter charges for Tensing. Shanahan said they had enough evidence for a decision and advised them to keep working. On Saturday morning, Shanahan declared a mistrial because the jury could not reach a unanimous decision after around 25 hours of deliberating. Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters said the jury was tilting toward a voluntary manslaughter conviction and an acquittal on the murder charge but ultimately couldn’t agree. The prosecutor in the case will now decide within the next two weeks whether to try the case again. Tensing is the former officer who was wearing a confederate flag t-shirt under his uniform during the shooting. Are you even surprised that a mistrial was declared???

Cincinnati Zoo Parents: Will They Be Charged in Murder of Harambe?

The verdict is in. About a week after officials at the Cincinnati Zoo shot and killed a gorilla named Harambe because they feared it would injure a toddler who had fallen into its enclosure, we now have legal closure on the case that has captivated the nation. The parents of said toddler will not be charged with any kind of crime. Hamilton County prosecutor Joe Deters announced on Monday morning that Michelle Gregg was NOT negligent when her three-year-old boy strayed from her watch the Cincinnati Zoo. Many on the Internet have been calling for Gregg’s head  ever since the video below went viral: Cincinnati Zoo Gorilla Killed to Save Toddler’s Life: Who’s to Blame? It depicts the 17-year old, 450-pound gorilla throwing the child all around. Did Harambe mean the infant harm? Maybe not. But when you have this kind of size and strength discrepancy, there’s simply no way of knowing what would have happened… and no way the zoo could have taken any chances. In making his ruling, Deters pointed out Gregg had three other kids with her at the time one of her sons ended up in the animal’s clutches. Moreover, based on surveillance footage and witnesses at the scene, she was being attentive. Accidents simply happen. Deters explained very simply that “kids can scamper off and they do.” He added, in sort of hilarious fashion, that if Gregg had been “in the bathroom smoking crack that would have been a different story, but that’s not what happened.” Deters concluded by saying “there’s nothing that the mother could have done” and also defended the zoo’s difficult decision in putting Harambe down. The lawyer labeled this a “painful choice” for officials to make, however: “It’s still an animal. It does not equate to human life.” View Slideshow: Harambe Mourned, Celebrated by Celebrities Everywhere

Fair Or Too Far? Woman Sues Home Developer For Purposely Neglecting To Warn Her Of Shady Racist Neighbor Before Move In

Woman Sues Developer For Failing To Inform Her Of Racist Neighbor A New Jersey woman was who was livid after learning that she’d purchased a home next to an openly racist man is now suing the home developer for failing to warn her. via News One Cyndee Phoenix (pictured) thought she had found the perfect home in a Hamilton County, N. J., residential community to live in with her elderly parents and sister. But what Phoenix did not know and now claims was not revealed to her by the developer, Lennar Homes Corp, who promoted promises of a “wonderful lifestyle,” was that she and her family would be tormented by a neighbor who would threaten, intimidate and make racist remarks. She is suing the developer for “knowingly concealing” that her future neighbor was a “dangerous individual,” according to Courthouse News. Phoenix closed on her home last October and moved in a month later. Lennar Homes reportedly warned the neighbor in question, Kevin Elville Potter, about his alleged harassing behavior, requesting that he cease his hostile conduct. According to documents filed in Atlantic County Court, Potter began his harassing ways soon after Phoenix moved in. Potter allegedly made “death threats to plaintiff’s sister, spit in the direction of Phoenix’s family members, made snide and racist comments about plaintiff, has taken pictures of plaintiff’s guests and stared them down in attempts to intimidate them and continued blocking plaintiff’s driveway with his parked cars.” The complaint also describes how Phoenix is so “afraid to leave her home” and “is constantly living in fear” that she was forced to hire a security guard because the family was also allegedly stalked by Potter. Phoenix claims that her security guard was even harassed by Potter, who once reportedly followed the employee for 15 miles on the freeway. There’s no arguing that this man’s actions are blatantly prejudice and uncalled for from the sounds of things but, it’ll be hard to prove that the home developer had knowledge of his racist ways before hand. Do you think this case will hold up in court?

Lawsuits: Mom Sues School For Strip Searching Her 5-Year-Old Daughter Diagnosed With Herpes Without Permission

Somebody needs to be fired. School Strip Seaches Girl Without Parent’s Permission How do you strip search a child without the parent’s permission? According to WRCB: The mother of a 5-year-old girl filed a lawsuit in November against Hamilton County Schools, saying her daughter was strip-searched by a school nurse without her knowledge. Brandy Madden’s daughter was a student at Apison Elementary School when she was diagnosed with congenital herpes. She was treated at a doctor’s office and given permission to return to school, after it was determined she was not contagious. Madden says she was later shocked to learn the school nurse had been removing her daughter’s clothing, without her permission, to check for lesions. Because of that, Madden is suing the school system, for all medical expenses past and future, and citing emotional distress and suffering, humiliation and embarrassment. A response from the Hamilton County Board of Education, released to Channel 3 Wednesday, alleges that Madden’s daughter was “unable to self-toilet and was therefore dependent upon school officials to change her diaper.” The response continues to state that “…this child had a diminished expectation of privacy such that any routine examination that school officials may have conducted during the course of routine diaper changing would not have violated any clearly established rights of the child…”The lawsuit status is pending. She’s 5-years-old with herpes…dayum. Do you think the school was out of line? Facebook

Random Ridiculousness: Family Comes Home To Find Stranger Has Moved Into Their House And Changed The Locks Under Ohio Law

Remind us to never buy a house in Ohio. Family Comes Home To Find Stranger Has Claimed House If we came home and found some ish like this, somebody’s head is getting beat to the white meat. According to WLWT: A family in Springdale returned from an out-of-town visit to a dying relative to find someone else had moved into their home of 21 years. Their outrage has now turned into a court battle, pitting them against a man who says he has the court documents to prove the house is now his. WLWT News 5′s Karin Johnson began to investigate and uncovered a dozen cases, all linked to the same man. Robert Carr went into the home on Springdale Lake Drive, changed the locks and emptied the house. The family said when they confronted Carr, he showed them a document he filed with the Hamilton County Court. It’s called a “quiet title” and lays claim to the property because Carr said the family abandoned the house and gave up all rights. Family members said they are too afraid to be identified. “What he’s looking for is full title and ownership of the home,” the family’s attorney, Alison Warner, said. Carr expects to pay nothing to take the home. “I feel violated. (I’m) very scared, you know, because I never know if somebody’s going to be here,” the homeowner said. The family attorney told Johnson the legal fight is adding to a painful year for the family. “This is stress that has fallen on their shoulders out of nowhere, after the death of a loved one and now they’re responsible to answer to this,” Warner said. The family in Springdale called the court fight a nightmare. “It’s really been hard,” the homeowner said. Dayum. WLWT
