It's difficult to imagine Adam Lind abiding by any of the rules that govern polite society, but believe it or not, it seems Chelsea Houska's deadbeat ex has spent the past several months in full compliance with the terms of his latest punishment. Lind was arrested back in 2017 for domestic assault, but he got off with a slap on the wrist. Chelsea and her family likely hoped that Lind would wind up serving hard time. That didn't turn out to be the case, but on the bright side, he was prohibited from contacting his past victims, including Houska. Unfortunately, it seems Lind has now been let off his legal leash, and it's anyone's guess how that development might impact Chelsea's future. Take a look: 1. It’s been five months since Meghan Markle welcomed her first child . Of course, to look at the Duchess of Sussex, you would never know that she only recently became a mom. On Tuesday, Meghan attended the WellChild Awards in London with Prince Harry at her side. The couple were guests at the ceremony last year, as well, but this was their first time attending as parents. One of the evening’s honorees was 10-year-old Emmie Narayn-Nicholas, who won an award for her Emmie’s Kitchen initiative. As seems to be the case with most people who cross paths with Meghan and Harry, Emmie and her family were thoroughly smitten by the Sussexes. And her mother, Eve, witnessed a heartwarming exchange that speaks volumes about the supportive nature of the royal couple’s marriage: “They were very lovely,” Eve told Hello! magazine. “When she sat down I said, ‘Oh, you look amazing and you’ve just had a baby.’ [Harry] looked at her and went, ‘See, I told you!’ in a way that we would,” she continued. “It did feel like they were very down to earth.” As if that weren’t enough to confirm that Harry and Meg are the embodiment of #CouplesGoals, Harry later gave a speech that moved many in the audience to tears: “Last year, when my wife and I attended, we knew we were expecting our first child — no one else did at the time, but we did — and I remember…” he began, trailing off after becoming overwhelmed with emotion. “I remember squeezing Meghan’s hand so tight during the awards, both of us thinking what it would be like to be parents one day,” Harry went on. “And more so, what it would be like to do everything we could to protect and help our child should they be born with immediate challenges or become unwell over time.” “And now, as parents, being here and speaking to all of you pulls at my heartstrings in a way I could have never understood until I had a child of my own,” the Duke of Sussex concluded. Yeah, it’s great that Meghan is married to a guy who alleviates her insecurities by lavishing her with compliments. But it’s even better that both of them are the type of people who happily devote their time to addressing the concerns of ill children and their families, as well as making them feel that their struggles are being honored by those in power. Well… that was all kinds of messed up, wasn't it?!? The Jersey Shore: Family Vacation universe was flipped around and turned upside down last week when Jenni Farley brought her boyfriend of a few months, Zack, out to party with the crew. And then JWoww got really drunk. And then she passed out. And then Zack totally felt up Angelina , who walked away… mortified. Here's the visual evidence: Very shortly after the episode aired, Farley took to Instagram to explain that she watched… finally witnessed Zack's inappropriate actions… and proceeded to break up with him . “For 5 months I was kept in the dark about this. For 5 months I was naive, probably laughed at and made into a story line that will forever haunt me,” she wrote, concluding: “My heart hurts on so many levels. One thing I learned from tonight’s episode is know your value. Don’t ever lower your standards.” Zack then addressed the situation himself on social media, apologizing to Jenni and to JWoww and taking full responsibilty for going way over the line. But here's the thing: These episodes were filmed several weeks ago, meaning we'll watch the fallout from last Thursday's installment this Thursday, even though the issues have kind of all been settled already in real time. Which brings us to the sneak peek featured here. It depicts Vinny and Angelina discussing the previous night's events, with the former saying he was right there for all the chaotic action. “Last night was crazy,” says Angelina at first, tow which Vinny uses Zack's nickname and replies: “I heard you fought with 24 last night. The weirdest thing is I saw you guys dancing at Drai's and he grabbed you.” YES! Angelina was psyched that someone else saw what happened and also thought something wasn't right. “You saw it! I saw your face! Thank god, I wasn't dreaming,” she exclaims. “What the f— was that?” asked Vinny. “Jenni was right here grinding, you were next to him and he grabbed you like this and was touching your ass. That was weird.” Responds Angelina: “His hand was all over that shit, I was like stop. She didn't even see it.” Vinny, of course, then says he would never do anything like that, prompting Pivarnick to express her reservations about Jenni's boyfriend and their relationship in general. “I don't know, I can't put my finger on the kid,” she says. “In all honesty, I felt that he got too comfortable way too quick with me. I don't know what to say, it wasn’t normal. He said before he left, he was going to call me to say hi to me. I think she's moving a little too quick in my opinion.” Vinny and Angelina aren't the best of friends. But the former says in a confessional here that he has the latter's back in this case. “Even though I don't like Angelina, I actually agree with her right now, that that was kind of shady situation,” he says. “I know that Jenni is looking through Zack-colored lenses right now, but if she finds out about this whole thing, she's gonna flip out.” And flip out she just did a few days ago. But whether you love her or hate her, there's no denying that Kail is dedicated to doing what's best for her three sons. Ronan Farrow’s new, revealing and disturbing book has officially gone on sale. And, with the release of “Catch and Kill: Lies, Spies, and a Conspiracy to Protect Predators,” we now have new information on the allegation of rape leveled against Matt Lauer in it. As previously reports, via excerpts from this book, Brooke Nevils has gone on record with the accusation that Lauer sexually assaulted her when the two were on location for the Sochi Olympics in 2014. A former NBC staffer, Nevils told Farrow that Lauer invited her to his hotel room at the time — and then proceeded to toss her on the bed and turn her over. He then had anal sex with her against Brooke’s will. “It was nonconsensual in the sense that I was too drunk to consent,” she reportedly tells Farrow in the book. “It was nonconsensual in that I said, multiple times, that I didn’t want to have anal sex.” Nevils went on to explain that, yes, she and Lauer slept together a few times after they returned to New York City, summarzing the situation as follows: “It was completely transactional. It was not a relationship.” Lauer has denied the rape allegation — in very offensive manner, some might say — and now we’ve learned the following about Nevils: She was so affected by the alleged incident that she tried to kill herself at one point. “Over the past two years, Nevils had attempted suicide,” writes Farrow. “She’s been hospitalized for post-traumatic stress disorder, descended into heavy drinking, pulled herself back.” He adds: “She’d lost fourteen pounds. And gone to doctors twenty-one times in a single-month period.” To be clear, everything Farrow writes about this situation is from Nevils’ point of view. But to also be clear: Lauer was previously accused of rape by another NBC staff; and, when he was fired by NBC two years ago , executives said they based their decision around multiple accuasions of horrible misconduct on the reporter’s part. He seems like a legitimately awful person, whether or not this specific allegation is even true. Nevils says in the book that doesn’t regret her decision to come forward with the allegations, although her life has totally changed as as a result. “I’ve lost everything I cared about. My job. My goals,” she says. Elsewhere, Nevils also told Farrow of two other “non-consensual” encounters with Lauer. While she was looking for something in his office, Nevils claims Lauer “grabbed her hips and fingered her.” The other time, Lauer reportedly asked for oral sex in exchange for filming a goodbye message for her then-boyfriend who was leaving NBC for a new job, according to the book. “When she asked Lauer for his (video), he told her to come to his office to record it herself. When she arrived, she said, he told her to go down on him,” Farrow writes. “I was really upset. I felt terrible,” Nevils claims in the book. “I was trying to do this nice thing, and I had to give Matt a blow job to get him to film a goodbye video. I just felt sick.” For his part, Lauer issued a lengthy response to the media last week, where he strongly denied claims of nonconsensual sex. “I have never assaulted anyone or forced anyone to have sex. Period,” he said as part of it. He admitted to an affair with Nevils (and other women), but stated all acts were consensual on all sides. “There’s the Matt Lauer that millions of Americans watched on TV every morning for two decades, and there is the Matt Lauer who this morning attempted to bully a former colleague into silence,” Nevils then said in a statement in response. From Desperate Housewife to Anxious Inmate! Last month, actress Felicity Huffman was sentenced to 14 days in prison for her involvement in the now-infamous college admissions bribery scandal. Today, the 56-year-old actress turned herself over to authorities to begin her two-week sting behind bars. In a way, the sentence is the sort of compromise that satisfies no one. Prosecutors initially pushed for a much harsher sentence of four months for Huffman. Her lawyers were able to whittle that recommendation down to one month, and in the end, the judge in her case dealt out a shockingly light slap-on-the-wrist sentence of just four months. The decision left Huffman in tears in the courtroom, but also led to widespread outrage among the many who (rightly) believe Huffman was a beneficiary of white privilege. In short, she’ll suffer the indignity of spending two weeks in a county-orange jumpsuit, but the consensus will remain that she got away with it and never paid her debt to society. Huffman’s sentence is a very short one — but in all likelihood, her reputation and career prospects are irreparably ruined. Huffman will serve her time in a detention center just outside of San Francisco — and her team is already spinning this into a case of her bravely facing her punishment. You know, the punishment she desperately tried to wriggle out of. “Ms. Huffman is prepared to serve the term of imprisonment Judge Talwani ordered as one part of the punishment she imposed for Ms. Huffman’s actions,” Huffman’s representative said in a prepared statement released today, “She will begin serving the remainder of the sentence Judge Talwani imposed — one year of supervised release, with conditions including 250 hours of community service — when she is released.” Huffman was convicted of paying a fraudulent proctor to help her daughter cheat on the SATs, thus ensuring admission to the college of her choice. Fifty other parents were ensnared in the FBI’s Operation Varsity Blues sting operation, but along with fellow actress Lori Loughlin, Felicity became one of the two faces of the college admissions bribery scandal. Unlike Huffman, Loughlin did not accept a plea deal, and is now gearing up to fight the charges against her in criminal court. She stands accused of doling out $500,000 in bribes in order to ensure her two daughters’ admission to USC. At this point, it seems highly unlikely that Loughlin will avoid prison time. “I don’t think I’d be giving away any state secrets by saying we would probably ask for a higher sentence for her than we did for Felicity Huffman,” U.S. Attorney Andrew Lelling of the District of Massachusetts told NBC News today. Jeremy Renner has often been in the news of late due to his hobby of flipping houses. But new details regarding the alleged ways he used to flip out on his ex-wife were made public on Monday morning… … and they offer a very frightening look at the actor’s life and his failed marriage to Sonni Pacheco. According to legal documents filed by Sonni , as part of her custody battle with Renner over six-year old daughter Ava, Pacheco cites a disturbing incident from just this past November. She says that the veteran actor was at a club at the time, totally high on coke and drunk on alcohol, when he starting talking about murdering Sonni, telling someone he “could not deal with her anymore, and he just wanted her gone.” Pacheco also points to a separate incident in which Renner stuck a gun in his mouth… threatened to kill Sonni… and then fired a bullet into the ceiling, all while Ava was asleep in her bedroom. It’s unclear exactly when this alleged incident took place. Wait, however, there’s more to be extemely concerned over. Pacheco claims that The Avengers star has a history of substance abuse, verbal and emotional abuse. In these legal papers, Sonni says Jeremy repeatedly has been under the influence when spending time with Ava — and that he once left cocaine on a bathroom counter, making it easily reachable by the toddler. In one instance, Sonni alleges that a nanny overheard Renner state he was going to Sonni’s home to kill her and then kill himself, because “it was better that Ava had no parents than to have [Sonni] as a mother.” Seriously scary stuff. Renner and Pacheco got married 2014… and Pacheco filed for divorce later that year, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the basis for the break-up. Pacheco has filed a request for sole legal and physical custody of Ava with the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles. She is also asking for monitored visitation when Renner is with their daughter. A court hearing has been scheduled for November 7, with the exes having been ordered to attend child custody mediation in the meantime. In response to this horrific allegations, an attorney for Renner has released the following statement: “The well-being of his daughter Ava has always been and continues to be the primary focus for Jeremy. “This is a matter for the court to decide. It’s important to note the dramatizations made in Sonni’s declaration are a one-sided account made with a specific goal in mind.” We’ll update this story with more news as it breaks.
Last week, Amy Duggar welcomed her first child — a bouncing baby boy named Daxton. Obviously, there’s no way to gauge this sort of thing, but the arrival of little Dax seemed to elicit more excitement than the usual Duggar birth. Perhaps it was the fact that at 32, Amy is considerably older than most new moms in her family. Maybe it’s a testament to Amy’s popularity with fans, many of whom admire her stubborn individualism in the face of intense pressure to conform to her uncle’s ultra-conservative views. Whatever the case, the denizens of Duggar Nation are psyched about baby Dax. And Amy is more than happy to oblige them with regular updates about her brand new bundle of joy: Over the weekend, Amy posted a photo of Dax’s long-awaited homecoming. (As many fans commenters pointed out, it appears that Amy spent 4-5 days in the hospital, which means either there were some mild complications, or she has really great health insurance.) Naturally, she documented the occasion for her 400,000 Instagram followers. “Headed home!!! King: Party of 3!” Amy captioned the pic. “Our son has his own IG account! We wanted to grab it before it wasn’t available for when he’s older!” she added. Yes, Dax has his own Instagram page already. We’d make fun, but like gender reveal parties, infant IGs are probably a trend that’s already becoming the norm, if it hasn’t already. “Can you believe I was sideways in mommy’s stomach and now I’m here!?! Let’s go home! In time to see my first Razorback game!” Amy (we assume) captioned the first photo from Dax’s page (below). Daddy Dillon King posted the same pic, with a caption reading: “[Daxton] and I are ready for the @razorbackfb game tonight! [Amy] we just have to get him into his #arkansasrazorbacks gear!” As with all things Duggar, the whole thing seems wholesome enough, but there are rumors of something seriously unpleasant lurking just beneath the surface. As we reported last week, Jill Duggar is the only member of her family to visit Amy thus far. The other Duggars have a pretty good excuse for not dropping by, as they’ve been visiting Jinger in Los Angeles . Still, their absence has raised a lot of questions about the new mom’s standing with the rest of her family. Conflicts between Amy and Jim Bob Duggar have made tabloid headlines several times over the years. Now, many believe that the rumors of a reconciliation were bogus, and JB still does not approve of his niece’s lifestyle. In recent months, there have been reports that Jill is not on good terms with the rest of their family. The situation has led to a fan theory that she’s joined forces with her outcast cousin in a sort of rebel alliance. Amy Roloff has seen her life flipped around and turned upside down over the past several weeks. And now — based on an Instagram update from the Little People, Big World star — it doesn’t look like things are about to calm down any time soon. First, a Amy Roloff recent refresher, bringing followers up to date on what’s been going on with the reality star: Just about a month ago, the mother four announced that boyfriend Chris Marek had proposed after three years of dating and that the two were finally engaged . He did so during a romantic dinner, prompting Amy to tell People Magazine a day later: “I’m excited, I’m so surprised, I’m thrilled! “I never in a million years thought I’d be getting married again, but I also hoped for it! Now that it’s happening, I couldn’t be happier or more excited.” Sadly, about 10 days later, Amy’s mother passed away after a lengthy illness . In her first comments after the tragedy, Amy acknoweldged the “roller coaster” of “happy and sad” emotions that has comprised her universe of late. Truly, we can only imagine. Fast forward about three weeks and Amy was posting pictures from her family’s Oregon farm in celebration of pumpkin season. This is when she alerted fans to the next significant life change about to take place. “Wow! How can Roloff Farms Pumpkin season be here already? And 20 plus years? It’s been a blast and full of wonderful times and memories,” she wrote as a caption to a photo of her and Chris, adding: “And more memories to make. What a family legacy I’ve love sharing w/ you. The Fall season is here, and there is So Much to love about Fall. My favorite season.” Roloff went on to write about the farm in the past tense, mentioning how many people she has “met,” and how much it has “impacted” her life, as it “gave me the gift of raising my kids here for through out their growing up years.” Wait a minute , some fans, asked: Is Amy still living on the farm? “Yes but not for long [we’ll] see what Matt and I can decide on about the farmhouse,” Roloff replied to this question. A few months ago, following some contentious back and forth that aired on TV, Amy agreed to sell Matt her portion of Roloff Farms . She still has some say over how the property is run, but she confirmed in this post six days ago that she’ll soon be moving away. “I finally found one I can make my home for a while. Woohoo!” Amy told followers last week, not offering up many other details about her new residence. We’re not even sure if she’s buying or renting, just that she’ll be living at a different address for the first time in decades. “I have chosen to buy (and Amy has chosen to sell) me only one side of the farm at this time,” Matt explained back in June. “Not the original farmstead… not the side with the pumpkin patch or her house… for now she is only selling me her partial share of ownership in the side (DW) that I live on… “She will remain in her house (and on the farm) and 1/2 owner of our original farm until she decides to leave … At that time we will jointly work to sell the side she lives on together. “This may happen in the future, but it’s not happening yet.” UPDATE: It appears as if this may soon be happening.
