Cher Voices Frustration Over ‘Burlesque’ Oscar Song Snub

‘We didn’t get a nomination 4 best song! That sucks!’ the icon tweeted about ‘ You Haven’t Seen the Last of Me.’ By James Dinh Cher Photo: Frederick M. Brown/ Getty Images After the Academy Award nominations were announced on Tuesday morning, “Burlesque” star Cher made it clear she wasn’t going to be celebrating with the nominees. The icon wasn’t pleased with the lack of recognition for her Diane Warren-penned tune “You Haven’t Seen the Last of Me” from the flashy musical, and she took to Twitter to express her frustration. While it was overlooked by the Academy, the “Burlesque” song recently scored a Golden Globe for Best Original Song. “We didn’t get a nomination 4 best song ! That sucks ! Diane’s song Is so beautiful !” Cher wrote . “It’s hard to understand how u win. Then she referred to her Globes win: “The Golden Globe 4 BEST SONG & not even get nominated by the OSCARS? Oh well it is..what it is ,,,,the sun is still shining !” Baffled by the snub, Cher even contemplated whether it was her role as the song’s performer that impacted its Oscar odds, writing, “maybe she would have had a better chance if someone else was singing it ?!! IT JUST CANT B HER SONG I” The Golden Globe awards are typically seen as a good forecast for the Oscars, but the awards aren’t a guarantee of Oscar love. A handful of stars from Oscar-nominated movies weren’t recognized by the Academy , including Mila Kunis (“Black Swan”), Andrew Garfield (“The Social Network”) and Julianne Moore (“The Kids Are All Right”). Kings Of Leon Drummer Lashes Out At ‘Glee’ Creator Ryan Murphy

And Murphy responds, calling Nathan Followill a ‘homophobe badly in need of some education.’ By Gil Kaufman Kings of Leon drummer Nathan Followill Photo: Lester Cohen/ WireImage The war of words between Kings Of Leon and “Glee” creator Ryan Murphy is heating up. After Murphy pointedly said “f— you” to the band in an interview for a Hollywood Reporter cover story, adding that he thinks KOL are “self-centered a–holes,” the group’s drummer shot back with a pointed response on Wednesday (January 26). “Dear Ryan Murphy, let it go,” Followill tweeted in response to Murphy’s criticism of the band for not allowing the show to use their mega-hit “Use Somebody” in an episode last year. “See a therapist, get a manicure, buy a new bra. Zip your lip and focus on educating 7yr olds how to say f—.” The battle quickly heated up when Murphy shot back at Nathan, condemning him for what he deemed homophobic comments. “Just read Nathan Followill’s Tweet,” Murphy told Perez Hilton on Wednesday. “In which he implied I should ‘get a manicure and buy a bra.’ Wow. That’s a homophobe badly in need of some education. I’m all for manicures, don’t wear a bra. Would guess most gay dudes don’t. But it’s telling that Nathan can reduce a group of people to a mean-spirited clich
