Blige recently chatted with DJ Ace on BBC Radio 1 Xtra about a number of topics including her dating life—-or lack thereof. The Queen of Soul wasn’t forthcoming on info about her post-divorce life but she did perk up when Ace asked her what it would take for a man to have a chance with her. According to Mary, at least one thing is absolutely necessary, money, so that she won’t have to “take care” of him. “Well he has to have more money than me, that’s for sure,” she said. “Because I’m not taking care of any more men. I’m not jaded but I’m very careful right now,” she said. “I love my freedom. I love being single right now. I’m in a great place. I’m not in a rush!” BLOOOOOP! Mind you Mary makes a good point. Mary indeed had to take care of her ex-husband Kendu Isaacs after their split. She paid him $30,000 every month in temporary spousal support which he claimed was insufficient to fund his lifestyle considering that her “divorce songs” ruined his reputation. He then asked for $65K and was shut down by a judge. Do YOU think it’s fair that MJB doesn’t want to “take care” of a man?

Source: Brian ZAK / Getty The legal and financial woes of Mary J. Blige have become public record after the messy divorce from her former manager and husband, Kendu Isaacs was finalized this year. In the wake of the divorce settlement, it has come out that two of Blige’s New Jersey homes are entering foreclosure and a bank wants the properties vacated immediately. Bossip exclusively reports : Last month, Apex Bank sued both Blige and Isaacs to foreclose on properties in Cresskill and Saddle River, NJ, claiming the pair hadn’t made payments in months. In the first lawsuit, Blige and Isaacs are accused of not paying down the $8.1 million mortgage that Blige used to buy the Saddle River estate for $12.3 million 10 years ago. The property boasts eight bedrooms, ten bathrooms, a studio, media room, library and staff quarters. The second suit accuses Blige and her ex of defaulting on another $2 million mortgage that she used to buy another place a few towns over. Blige bought that home back in 2001, and the 6,100 square foot home has six bedrooms, a master suite on its own private floor and sits on an acre lot. The bank wants control of the two homes and Blige and Isaacs out ASAP. It was unclear Thursday who lived in the properties, but one was taken off the market shortly after the couple’s divorce became final. WENN Kendu Isaacs Demands Rent Money From Mary J. Blige Mary J. Blige’s estranged ex Kendu Isaacs is still trying his damndest to run her pockets for rent money , despite already receiving a whopping $30,000 a month in spousal support from her. According to court docs acquired by The Blast , Kendu claims that the back and forth court battle with Mary has stressed him so badly that he’s suffered physical maladies so bad that they’ve put him in the hospital: “[Isaacs] has experienced physical manifestations of stress and emotional distress from this matter, which has caused him to become hospitalized.” As a result, he says he’s no good for work and needs MORE of Mary’s cash to pay the rent. He says that since he’s “unemployable,” paying his rent has become “impossible.” Without more money, he says he’ll become “destitute.” Mind you, Kendu has repeatedly been angling to level up his monthly spousal support payments from Mary from $30k to $65k over the last few months . Now, his story is that he needs the money so desperately that he’d basically become a street beggar if forced to keep living on the mere $30,000 a month she’s already giving him. Seriously. SMH. Hasn’t this man done enough to Mary and her bank account without pulling these stunts?? WENN/Getty
