19 Real Housewives Who Only Lasted One Season

They can't all be Bethanys and Vickis.   While The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Beverly Hills, Miami, New Jersey, Orange County, Potomac (?) and New York (RIP, D.C.) catapulted some women into superstardom and/or infamy, others sort of came in with a whimper and were quietly shown the door at season's end. It's easy to forget who was part of the Bravo's greatest legacy, so The Hollywood Gossip has created a refresher course. You're welcome. 1. Jules Wainstein Wainstein was excited to join season eight of ‘The Real Housewives of New York’ before it premiered, but when her marriage fell apart and she filed for divorce in June 2016, Wainstein decided to focus on her family instead of returning to the franchise. 2. Larsa Pippen Pippen is one of Kim Kardashian’s closest friends, but even that claim to fame couldn’t keep her on ‘The Real Housewives of Miami.’ Pippen was a bit too normal for Bravo’s liking, so she only starred in season one before getting the boot. 3. Claudia Jordan Jordan was an actress before joining season 9 of ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta,’ and found herself in hot water for accidentally confirming that Jamie Foxx (with whom she’s worked) and Katie Holmes were dating in the summer of 2016. Jordan batracked and denied she knew anything about the couple. “A lot of times, I get asked questions about celebrities — some I know, some I don’t — a lot of times we just give a safe kind of generic answer,” Jordan told Entertainment Tonight. “Sorry to not have this bombshell story, but I cannot confirm them.” 4. Cristy Rice Rice divorced NBA star Greg Rice around the time that ‘The Real Housewives of Miami’ had premiered in 2011. After lasting only one season, celeb gossip site The Dirty alleged that Rice was having an affair with Teo Hoffman, a wealthy Mormon business man with a family of his own. 5. Lydia McLaughlin Sweet, doe-eyed McLaughlin lasted all of one season ‘The Real Housewives of Orange County’ before voluntarily leaving. “I remember sitting on the couch [during the reunion special], having nothing to do with the conflict or the drama, but feeling so sad,” McLaughlin wrote in her 2015 book, ‘Beyond Orange County: A Housewives Guide to Faith and Happiness.’ “I sensed the Holy Spirit inside me saying, ‘You don’t have to be here.’ So I stood up and walked off set.” 6. Kathryn Edwards Edwards confirmed she was leaving ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ after just one season. Whether it was Bravo’s decision or hers, Edwards told People Magaizne that she walked away from the experience “with great feelings,” and no regrets. “It was definitely an adventure for me,” Edwards said. “I really am kind of a private person. It really just comes down to the time and what I value the most. I value those times with my husband and our friends. And I really didn’t want to miss another year. It’s nice to be able to live life.” View Slideshow

Vicki Gunvalson & Brooks Ayers: More Dirty Laundry to Come as Judge Unseals Court Docs

It looks like even more of Vicki Gunvalson’s dirty laundry is about to become public as a judge refused to seal documents related to a recent lawsuit. The Real Housewives of Orange County star and her controversial boyfriend Brooks Ayers are embroiled in a legal dispute over Vicki’s vodka line. The duo sought a protective order preventing “confidential, propriety, or private information” from being exposed in court, but their request was denied. Vicki argued that the two “are celebrities, and tabloids and other news media have shown an interest in publishing information about their lives.” In fact, she argues regarding items such as the video of Brooks Ayers admitting he cheated on Vicki with hookers, some of that stuff is already out there. The Bravo stars tried hard to protect “all items or information that are produced or generated in disclosures or responses to discovery in this matter.” U.S. Magistrate Judge George Foley Jr. shut down the twosome’s request, claiming they didn’t adequately prove the material needed to stay private. Gunvalson pulled the plug on her Vicki’s Vodka brand amid the legal battling that has seen both her name and Brooks’ dragged through the mud. Vicki has stood by Brooks despite of his alleged history of violence and other seedy activities, while he claims that all of this was a long time ago . If you watch The Real Housewives of Orange County online , you know her co-stars aren’t fans of his, and we can’t imagine this will help his cause. 21 Real Housewives Feuds For the Ages 21. Tamra Barney vs. Lizzie Rovsek The Real Housewives of Orange County stars have gotten insane mileage out of Lizzie’s birthday and Tamra’s alleged party snub, ripping each other on and off camera.

Aviva Drescher: FIRED From The Real Housewives of New York City, Reports Indicate

Aviva Drescher has been fired from The Real Housewives of New York City after two seasons on the Bravo series, according to multiple reports. The New York Post mentioned Aviva’s departure in an article also stating that Helena Christensen is joining the cast for its upcoming season. Drescher, 45, an author, amputee and married mother of four, will be best remembered for her leg-throwing incident on the sixth season finale: Arrivederci, Aviva Drescher? Aviva Drescher Throws Leg The shocking Aviva Drescher leg throwing incident occurred after co-stars accused her of lying and faking her illnesses to beg out of several cast trips. “The only thing fake about me,” Drescher snapped, yanking off her prosthetic leg, “is this!” She slammed the limb on the table, then flung it across a restaurant. Rumors that Bravo executives wanted Aviva Drescher fired had been flying well before this incident, so that wasn’t necessarily the root cause.  If anything, it brought quite a bit of buzz to the beleaguered show. She’s not sorry about it, either. “I think me getting angry and throwing my leg on the table was really funny and crazy. I get a hoot out of it,” Aviva said later. “I was definitely at the end of my rope , or my leg so to speak.” Earlier in the season, Drescher came to near-blows with Carole Radziwill in an ongoing feud, now infamously labeled BookGate, about their respective tomes. She also made unrelated news this summer when her dad, 76-year-old George Teichner, married his girlfriend Dana, who is over 50 years his junior. Assuming her firing is legit, Aviva’s exit leaves Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, Kristen Taekman, Heather Thomson, and Carole Radziwill among the cast. Will you miss Aviva on The Real Housewives of N.Y. City? 21 Real Housewives Feuds For the Ages 21. Tamra Barney Posts Lizzie Rovsek Text, Phone Number Online; Co-Star Won’t Accept Apology

Lizzie Rovsek and Tamra Barney are in the midst of an epic feud that extends beyond what fans saw on The Real Housewives of Orange County Monday. After Barney inadvertently (or intentionally) blasted Rovsek’s phone number to the world in the midst of their ongoing beef, she issued an apology. One which Lizzie will not be accepting. Amid reports that Bravo fired Tamra Barney from The Real Housewives of Orange County , she’s been hitting back at what she feels is unflattering editing. Tamra claims that she didn’t flake on a party for Lizzie ( Rovsek is also being fired from the show, reports say), but rather had to miss it because her daughter was sick. Barney already blasted Bravo for this, but when she took to social media to share a text that proved Rovsek was creating drama, she included her co-star’s digits. “It was never my intention to expose Lizzie’s phone number and it was deleted in seconds after I realized her number was attached,” explains Tamra. Given her track record this season, is anyone out there buying that? “I had deleted Lizzie number after the reunion. Therefore her previous text messages came up by her phone number. I feel horrible and very sorry that it happened.” “I even tried to call her immediately to let her know,” she insists. True? Untrue? Is Tamra genuinely sorry or just spewing B.S. Either way, Rovsek is not buying it after she says she got so many calls and texts after Barney’s post went up that she had to change her number. But not before posting the following quote on Facebook: “The liar was the hottest to defend his veracity, the coward his courage, the ill-bred his gentlemanliness, and the cad his honour.” Oooh, that’s gotta hurt, Tam. Burrrrrrrrrn . All the behind-the-scenes drama may not matter much longer if these two are really getting the heave-ho … but it should make for one heck of a reunion show. Lizzie Rovsek: Tamra Barney Lies! She Covinced Everyone to Skip My Party!

Yesterday, Tamra Barney attempted to save face with The Real Housewives of Orange County fans by writing a lengthy Facebook post defending her actions in the previous night’s episode. Tamra claimed producers on the show convinced her to ditch Lizzie Rovsek’s birthday party at the last minute without providing any details. Barney says her daughter was ill and she’d intended to give Lizzie plenty of advance notice, but Bravo wanted the drama of a last-minute flake-out. Today, Radar Online has obtained texts sent from Lizzie to Tamra revealing that Rovsek thinks Barney skipped the celebration because she felt like it. Worse, Tamra stands accused of convincing Vicki Gunvalson to fake a yeast infection in order to giver her an excuse to stay home. “I honestly wouldn’t have cared if you just didn’t want to go,” Lizzie texted. “The general vibe I got from everyone, producers included, was that you just didn’t want to be there.” Then Lizzie pulls out the big guns, and accuses Tamra of a totally gross violation of girl code: “The whole yeast infection thing you told Vivki to tell producers wasn’t very nice.” Not very nice, indeed. Did she have to go with s uch a TMI excuse? It was bad enough that  Tamra told everyone about her bedroom quirks . (The conversation involved her ear canal. Enough said.) Watch The Real Housewives of Orange County online to find out more than you ever wanted to know about Tamra and company’s fetishes and infections. Real Housewives: Before They Were Reality Stars! 1.
