January’s not even over yet, but it looks like First Daughter Malia Obama has already won Photo Bomb of the Year 2013 after this awesome effort Monday. Malia Obama Photo Bomb As sister Sasha Obama attempted to take an iPhone photo of her parents smooching on Inauguration Day, Malia impishly inserted herself into the shot. The slightly curious / mildly irritated look from President Barack Obama – who appears to be holding an iPhone himself – is pretty priceless at the end. All in all, a good day for the First Family. The antics of Malia, 14, and Sasha, 11, were viral sensations, while Barack was sworn in for another four years. Honorable mention: This Bill Clinton photo bomb of Kelly Clarkson.
A terrible story… 3-Week-Old Baby Mauled To Death By Pitbull In an extremely sad story out of Detroit, a 3-week-old baby was fatally attacked by a family pitbull while sitting in her car seat that was put on the floor. via Detroit Free Press : A 3-week-old girl was killed by a pit bull Thursday after her mother left her in a car seat on the floor inside a house on Detroit’s west side, police said. Sgt. Eren Stephens said the newborn’s mother went to a home and took the infant inside with her. The mother put the girl, still strapped into the seat, on the floor, not knowing there was a dog loose in the house. The mother, Stephens said, stepped away from the infant for a moment, but when she returned the pit bull was mauling the girl. The baby was taken to a hospital, but she died of her injuries. Police did not release the name of the girl or her 24-year-old mother. The dog was removed from the home Thursday night and taken to an animal control facility. The investigation has been turned over to the homicide division. Stephens said investigators will submit their reports to prosecutors, who will then decide whether to file any criminal charges. “It seems like maybe just a tragic accident,” Stephens said. This is for the POTUS with daughters… President Obama Admits He’s Embarassed To Listen To Rap Music Around His Daughters We know that Barry likes don a pair of Beats By Dre and nod his head to some good ol’ fashioned American hip-hop every now and then, but apparently listening to rappers’ harsh language with his baby girls isn’t exactly his cup o’ tea. Via Glamour GLAMOUR: Thinking about Sasha and Malia, when you ran for office last time, they were both little girls, and now Malia is a teenager. What kind of music does she listen to? PRESIDENT OBAMA: You know, we actually don’t constrain what she listens to. We expect her to show some good judgment. She listens to my iPod and has gotten hip to stuff that was made well before she was born like Motown, jazz, classic rock. There’s a whole bunch of stuff that she’s picking up on. We actually share tastes in hip-hop and rap music but we don’t listen to it together, because some of the language in there would embarrass me—at least while I’m listening to it with her. Folks like Jay-Z, Nas, we both like them, but when it comes on and I’m sitting with her and Sasha, then I fast-forward because it would make me blush…. It’s interesting, both Malia and Sasha, they’re very much up on pop culture, but what I’m pleased to see is that they’re interested in making culture too. They both play the piano, and Sasha’s dancing, and Malia’s interested in filmmaking. We gotta commend ol’ Barry O’ for keepin’ it 100. However, its interesting that The President said that he and Michelle don’t regulate their daughters music choices.
