South African hottie Nicole Meyer may have gotten her start as a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, but as you can see, that perfect body of hers looks just as good in lingerie. (Maybe even better .) Either way though, the more I see of Nicole, the more I’m starting to like her. So just imagine how much I’ll like her once she finally sends me those nudie pictures I keep bugging her for via Twitter. » view all 29 photos
I post a lot of lingerie shoots on the site, in fact, we just had a pretty good one from Nicole Meyer on Tuesday . But I think her latest one for Besame Lingerie might be one of the hottest ever. I know that’s a pretty serious claim, but I’ve got the evidence to back it up, like Exhibit A here. Exhibit B is every single other one of these pictures, but the clincher is below, the behind-the-scenes video from the shoot. I rest my case. » view all 16 photos
Here’s former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Nicole Meyer showing that she’s no one-trick pony with this awesome new photoshoot. As you can see, she’s just as talented at looking ridiculously hot in lingerie as she is in bikinis. And now that she’s getting the Tuna Bump, hopefully we’ll be getting to see a whole lot more of Nicole’s talents in the future. In the meantime though, all those suggestive T-shirts she’s modeling here are giving me some great ideas for how Nicole can thank me once her career takes off. » view all 24 photos
‘Twilight’ author tells MTV News that E L James’ fan fiction bestseller is ‘really not my genre, not my thing.’ By Fallon Prinzivalli, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Photo: The Writer’s Coffee Shop “Fifty Shades of Grey” seems to be on everyone’s mind lately. How will they make NC-17 reading material into an R-rated film? Who will take on the role of the timid Ana Steele? And, most importantly, who will be cast as Christian Grey , the sexy leading man? Those all are important questions, but the one query we were itching to have answered is: What does “Twilight” author Stephenie Meyer think of the book? E L James’ trilogy started out as “Twilight” fan fiction, after all. When MTV News caught up with the writer on the set of “The Host,” she told us she doesn’t know much about “Fifty Shades,” but she supports James in her endeavor. “I haven’t read it. I mean, that’s really not my genre, not my thing,” she said with a laugh. “I’ve heard about it; I haven’t really gotten into it that much. Good on her — she’s doing well. That’s great!” “Fifty Shades” follows the sadomasochistic affair of college graduate Ana Steele and dominant billionaire Christian Grey. Their relationship begins as a purely physical attraction, but as they become engrossed in each other and start to fall in love, Ana realizes Christian’s past might not be something she wants to uncover. Christian represents Edward Cullen, a brooding, self-deprecating and impossibly good-looking man with a few secrets, while Ana is an adaptation of the clumsy and shy Bella Swan. Without Meyer’s novel, “Fifty Shades” might not exist. “It might not exist in the exact form that it’s in,” Meyer said. “Obviously, [James] had a story in her, and so it would’ve come out in some other way.” But James isn’t the only writer who gained Meyer’s support. “The Host” author mentioned being a “super fan” of Suzanne Collins’ “The Hunger Games.” “I’m just excited for anything that they do,” she said. “I was really excited they were turning it into a movie. Of course, then you have that, ‘Are they gonna screw it up?’ ’cause it’s so awesome, but they didn’t; it’s awesome. I’m really looking forward to the next one. I have fingers crossed for a couple of casting choices.” Once she revealed she had actors in mind, we had to ask her pick for the beloved District 4 tribute, Finnick Odair: “Taylor Kitsch,” she said, stating her choice. “Is there another option?” When our correspondent Josh Horowitz mentioned he spoke to Kitsch, and the actor said he’s not interested in the role, Meyer was more than a little disappointed, saying, “You’re breaking my heart.”

Ohio State University has a new head coach of the football team, now that Ohio native Urban Meyer has been hired. Current head coach Luke Fickell was named interim head coach earlier this year, after Jim Tressel’s abrupt resignation. But Fickell has had a challenging season. The Buckeyes are usually at the top of the Big 10 conference and national championship contenders. This season, they’re not even ranked. The news about Meyer coming to Ohio State came after the Buckeyes’ loss to Penn State University. Meyer initially denied that he’s going to Ohio State and said, “I’ve not been offered any job, and I’ve certainly not accepted any job.” Notice how he didn’t deny having talks with the school? Meyer currently works as a broadcaster for ESPN, but is best known for his success as the head coach at the University of Florida. The Gators won over 100 games and two national championships under Meyer’s decade of leadership. He resigned in 2010 to spend more time with his family and for health reasons. More celebs weigh in after Roots drummer tried to warn Occupy Wall Street protesters of police action via Twitter. By Gil Kaufman Russell Simmons Photo: MTV News Roots drummer ?uestlove just happened to be driving by New York’s Zuccotti Park late Monday night when he noticed something odd happening at the Occupy Wall Street site. “OMG, drivin down south st. near #OWS. Somethin bout to go down yo, swear I counted 1,000 riot gear cops bout to pull sneak attack #carefulyall,” he tweeted around midnight. He wasn’t wrong, as a short time later the NYPD stormed the site of the sit-in protest and forcibly removed the residents of “Freedom Park” in order to clean up the public square. Quest continued to issue his warnings for about an hour after his initial tweet, finally getting confirmation from fellow Twitter users a short time later that his suspicions were true. “I was tryna downplay it 1ce tweets were discrediting me,” he wrote once the raid was underway in the early Tuesday morning (November 15) hours. “But I swear I saw like 6 city blocks of nothin but riot gear cops under my bridge.” The Roots drummer wasn’t the only one who noticed some late night action in the vicinity. Comedian Kathy Griffin posted a tweet after leaving the Larry King Friars Club roast on Monday night, writing , “Whoa! On my late nite NYC walk. Russell Brand, who had visited OWS with Simmons, was none too pleased, writing , “#OWS moved out of Liberty Park ‘because they’re blocking 1st responders’- here’s my 1st response ‘that’s bull—t.’ ” There were plenty of others who weighed in as well, including Huffington Post founder Arianna Huffington, who lamented , “Quite a message to send — destroying, reportedly, 5K books at #OWS.” Actor/activist Mark Ruffalo added , “People in Liberty Park were pepper sprayed. Police beat women. Press pushed out so they could not witness the crackdown. Dehumanizing 99%#Ows.” Filmmaker Michael Moore promised that this was not the end, tweeting , “Phase Two of this massive, nonviolent MAJORITY movement will now commence. ‘Twilight’ author also raves to MTV News about wedding and honeymoon — and reveals whether she’ll write more about Bella and Edward. By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Stephenie Meyer Photo: Jason Merritt/ Getty Images Of all the lovely and talented stars we feature in our exhaustive efforts to cover anything and everything in the world of “Twilight,” it’s a rare treat to talk to the woman responsible for it all: author-turned-producer Stephenie Meyer. MTV News was lucky enough to catch up with the lady, the myth, the legend during our “Breaking Dawn – Part 1” premiere live stream Monday night (November 14), when we covered hot topics such as the wedding and honeymoon, the birth scene and whether Meyer will ever write another “Twilight”-themed story or book. “With the wedding, I worked pretty closely with [screenwriter] Melissa [Rosenberg],” Meyer said. “We talked about it, how it needed to be like a really beautiful traditional ceremony, nothing outlandish, just simple and old-fashioned and romantic, and then [director] Bill [Condon] brought in the vision of what it should look like, and the production designer just made such a gorgeous midsummer night’s dream for us. And then the final element was Kristen [Stewart] in the wedding dress. She was so gorgeous, she was unbelievable.” Fun fact about the wedding scene: Meyer has a cameo, which she assured us was not her idea. “Bill really wanted those of us who’d been there from the beginning [in the scene],” she said. “It was nice to be at Bella’s wedding; that was great. Being on camera — not so much.” Moving right along to arguably the film’s most-anticipated scene: the honeymoon, which Meyer said she wanted all along to be romantic above everything else. “I think it’s romantic, and it does give you more than the book does. I know some of the sites call it, instead of ‘fade to black,’ ‘fade to sad.’ they’d love to see more. I think this gives them that,” she said. “It gives them a romantic peek into the honeymoon. We don’t want to see too much.” Another scene in which the filmmakers incorporated a less-is-more approach was during the very intense birth scene, which Meyer said was so emotional that people shed a bunch of tears during filming. “It was so emotional. It wasn’t like a horror movie or anything. It has those elements, but it really brought out that feeling of losing the person that means the most to you. We were getting teary on set, which doesn’t happen very much after a long day of shooting,” she said. “That moment really was strong.” And finally, the question on all “Twilight” fans’ minds all the time: After the final movie opens and things are all said and done, will Meyer return to her characters and continue the story? “I don’t know,” she said. “Every now and then I tinker around with old manuscripts, because I can’t leave them alone even though it’s too late and they’re printed. There are little things. I’ve been recently doing comedies and stuff; it’s a nice change. Maybe it will cleanse the palate and I’ll get back to it.” So once the palate is cleansed, might she consider publishing the much-discussed, fan-pined-for book from Edward’s perspective, “Midnight Sun”? “Maybe. I get that [question] a lot,” Meyer said. “My mother [asks] every day. She would love for me to do that. I know a lot of people will love that. I have to get to a place where I can write it.” Stick with MTV News as we roll out even more from our “Breaking Dawn” premiere live stream! Meyer’s love of Jane Austen can be seen throughout ‘The Twilight Saga.’ By Terri Schwartz Stephenie Meyer Photo: Frazer Harrison/ Getty Images With the final two “Twilight Saga” films on the horizon, author Stephenie Meyer is ready to sink her teeth into some non-vampire projects. Meyer will produce the Jane Austen-inspired “Austenland,” an adaptation of the Shannon Hale novel that will be directed by newcomer Jerusha Hess. Heat Vision has the news of Meyer’s involvement, reporting that filming begins this week in the U.K. The movie is about a woman whose obsession with Mr. Darcy is so strong it is ruining her love life, so she ends up going to an Austen-themed resort in England and inevitably falls for the Mr. Darcy actor at Austenland. The cast so far includes Keri Russell, J.J. Field, Bret McKenzie, Jennifer Coolidge, Jane Seymour, Rupert Vansittart and James Callis. Meyer has been a longtime fan of Austen’s work and credited the author’s “Sense and Sensibility” character Mr. Edward Ferrars with the decision to name her leading man Edward. In addition, “Twilight” was inspired by Austen’s “Pride and Prejudice,” to the point that main character Bella is reading the novel during the story and often compares her relationship with Edward to Elizabeth Bennet’s relationship with Mr. Darcy. This will only be the fourth film Meyer has produced and the first outside adaptations of her own works. The two “Breaking Dawn” movies were her first venture into producing, and now she is also attached to produce the upcoming adaptation of her book “The Host.” But she also had a chance behind the camera thanks to one of her favorite bands, Jack’s Mannequin , back in 2008. In addition to being influenced by classic romances, Meyer often cites inspiration from music. Singer/songwriter Andrew McMahon took her appreciation for his band Jack’s Mannequin a step further when he asked her to write a treatment for the music video of his song “The Resolution” and then come to Los Angeles and direct it for them. “I’m most excited because, when I was making this album, I wanted to find someone who was really talented and get them to write a treatment and just leave it alone and let it fly. And that’s exactly what we’re doing here,” McMahon told MTV News about his experience working with Meyer back in 2008.
