Oops: Woman Loses NASA Internship After Tweeting “Suck My Di** And Balls” To One Important Guy

Source: Daniel Haug / Getty Social media can be a tricky world to navigate, especially if you’re one of those #nofilter kind of people . Just take Twitter user Naomi H. for example, who just got an internship with NASA only to be fired a short while later. And what was the cause of her severance? Her #nofilter mouth. According to Newsweek , Naomi H. (as she’s identified on Twitter) got the internship of her dream with NASA. She was so excited by the news that she went on Twitter to celebrate by saying, “EVERYONE SHUT THE FU** UP. I GOT ACCEPTED FOR A NASA INTERNSHIP.” A little aggressive, but congrats right!?   Wrong. Someone named Homer Hickam  saw Naomi H.’s use of profanity and replied to her tweet by saying “Language.” Well remember Naomi is a #nofilter kind of girl, so she was completely and utterly against being censored. She replied to this Homer guy saying “Suck my di** and balls, I’m working for NASA.”   Again, a little aggressive. But who cares, she’s working for NASA! Unfortunately, little did Naomi know, Hickam is a highly respected NASA engineer and a member of the National Space Council — the group that actually overseas NASA.   Hickam made Naomi aware of this and things went downhill from there. – Gist for the timeline, – @naomiH_official Allegedly lost a NASA internship after getting into twitter beef with one of the staff. pic.twitter.com/B6MRKphixA — SubDeliveryZone (@SubDeliveryZone) August 22, 2018 Hit the next page to find out what happened!

Obama Backs Away from Intergalactic Domination

The story at the bottom link is from Wired, and Defense Secretary Robert Gates Statement follows: “Today, I'm pleased to welcome the release of the President's National Space Policy. I fully support the vision it lays out. This policy clearly articulates the right space policies and priorities for our nation, and is also a pledge that the United States will maintain the leadership and capabilities in space imperative for our national security. “Our continued presence in space is vital to our national security. Space-based capabilities are critical to our military's ability to navigate accurately, strike precisely, and gather battle space awareness efficiently. However, changes in the space environment over the last decade challenge our operations. Today, space is increasingly contested as our systems face threats of disruption and attack, increasingly competitive as more states, private firms, and others develop space-based capabilities, and increasingly congested with orbital debris. “Together with other departments and agencies, the Department of Defense will take a number of steps to support the new National Space Policy, and will work with the Office of the Director of National Intelligence to develop a strategy document to address specific national security requirements for outer space. We will look to leverage growing international and commercial expertise to enhance U.S. capabilities and reduce vulnerabilities. “Finally, we will pursue activities consistent with the inherent right of self-defense, deepen cooperation with allies and friends, and work with all nations toward the responsible and peaceful shared presence in space.” The White House statement, the fact sheet and the text of the National Space Policy are available online at http://www.defense.gov/spr/ under “Related U.S. Govt Publications.” http://www.wired.com/dangerroom/2010/06/obama-backs-away-from-intergalactic-domi… added by: Incredulous

British Space Agency to probe ‘crackpot’ antigravity device

“A controversial British antigravity device is to be investigated by the government's National Space Centre, according to reports. If the technology really works, it would be able to counteract the force of gravity using only electrical power, permitting the easy building of Jetsons-style flying cars or hoverships and hugely simplifying space travel.” http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/10/29/emdrive_antigrav_bnsc/ I am not sure if this invention has a potential to deplete our natural resources but I love its fantastic potential and the general direction towards an innovative sci-fi future. added by: lookatmypix 6 comments
