Many of the images have never been published. Rihanna’s trajectory has catapulted exponentially and it will be fantastic to see this in visual form. The book will be available for $150.00 and begins shipping on October 24th. It has 504 pages and 1,050 images. There are also three limited edition books. The first one is $175.00 and releases on October 10th. It comes with a custom tabletop bookstand created in collaboration with The Haas Brothers. The second limited edition book is the Rihanna: Luxury Supreme and is available for $5500.00. For one of his upcoming projects, he’s collaborating with his wife Zinzi Evans to produce a film based on the comic book series Bitter Root , Deadline reported. Walker and Chuck Brown —is centered on a Harlem-based monster-hunting family during the peak of the Harlem Renaissance. The Sangeryes family has a long history of overcoming evil and the surviving members must uphold the legacy and save the city of New York. Bitter Root has garnered several nominations for prestigious awards including the 2019 Ringo award for Best Series and the 2019 Eisner Award for Best New Series. The global entertainment company Legendary Pictures Productions will develop the project in partnership with Coogler, Evans and Sev Ohanian . There is no word on when the film will be released. Coogler has been dedicated to bringing diverse narratives to the silver screen. “As I got older, I wanted to find a comic book character that looked like me and not just one that was on the sidelines,” he said in an interview with NPR . “I just want to make films that resonate with me, that are interesting to me, that deal with themes that I’m passionate about.” His wife Zinzi Evans is expanding her repertoire in the film industry and has collaborated with him on several projects. Coogler often credits Evans for helping him launch his career in film. “I was broke, playing football on the little scholarship money and my wife scrapped together some cheese and bought me Final Draft, which is the software that you write your movies on. She got me that,” he said in a Hot 97 interview . As far as what’s on the horizon for Coogler, he’s working on Space Jam 2 which is slated to be released in 2021 and the sequel to Black Panther will hit theaters in 2022. Morgan State University Receives $500K Grant From National Science Foundation

M organ State University has been dedicated to expanding its STEM program and they will be able to move their plans forward with the help of a newly awarded grant. According to HBCU Buzz , the Maryland-based historically Black university recently received a $499,999 grant from the National Science Foundation. The funds will go towards a research project called Excellence in Research: Oxidative Stress Induced Impact of Cell-Penetrating Nanoparticles on Cellular Constituents in a Cyanobacterial Model . The university plans on using the grant to work towards closing the racial and gender gaps in STEM by providing mentorship and training for students at all collegiate levels from underrepresented groups. Project participants will receive training on-campus and at the National MagLab which is the largest and highest-powered magnet lab in the world. The project is being led by Viji Sitther , Ph.D. who serves as a biology professor at Morgan State University and National High Magnetic Field Laboratory staff member Huan Chen , Ph.D. “This project enhances our research and scholarly activities as an R2 high research institution while providing our students with internship and graduate school opportunities,” said Hongtao Yu , Ph.D. who serves as the dean of the university’s School of Computer, Mathematical and Natural Sciences. “At a time when sustainable, carbon-neutral energy sources are needed more urgently than ever, Dr. Sitther’s research is a valuable contribution not only to our university but to the world at large.” There has been a major effort to advance STEM programs at HBCUs. In September, Spelman College received funding for the creation of a science, technology, engineering and math center. It was awarded by the Department of Defense. The two youngsters have called it quits…at least “for now” according to TMZ . Travis and Kylie were last seen publicly at his “Look Mom, I Can Fly” documentary premiere on August, 27th. According to a source, their relationship was shakey on the red carpet but they still came together as a family for the sake of supporting the project. Apparently, things have cooled all the way down since then, driving a wedge between them. Reports say Kylie and Travis have been trying to make it work in the weeks since his documentary premiere but ultimately decided to walk away. Earlier this year the couple had another hiccup where Kylie suspected that Travis was cheating. This was back in March 2019, but Travis denied it. Sources added that this isn’t the first time the couple has taken a break so theirs hope for them. Variety is reporting from a source that Ye’s Jesus Is King album will not be dropping on Friday (September 27). Here we go again. Despite the publication sharing information, it got from a source close to the situation, West’s wife, Kim Kardashian, is doubling down on the Friday release date. The reality star retweeted a picture from an account belonging to someone named “Colin” who Yeezy does follow. 2 more days Jesus is King pic.twitter.com/ZKqmqkMeHZ — colin (@colinags) September 25, 2019 Per Variety : A meeting about the album between West and Def Jam executives recently took place in the rapper’s occasional home base of Wyoming, where he staged a massive event to launch his “Ye” album last year (news of the meeting and the album’s delay was  first reported by Hits ). West held one of his semi-weekly church-like “Sunday Services” in Wyoming last weekend, which was attended by super-producer Rick Rubin — who came in during the final stages two of West’s last three solo albums, “Yeezus” and “Life of Pablo,” and met with him the month before “Ye” dropped — so his presence suggests that an album is finished. Fans and Hip-Hop enthusiasts are no strangers to Ye’s theatrics as of late when it comes to releasing his albums. Kanye fans waited for the Yandhi which was supposed to drop in September 2018. The project was delayed multiple times while West was hanging out in Africa before subsequently being shelved. Then there were the ambitious five albums in five weeks rollout that didn’t follow the schedule at all. Instead, we got a watered-down version of Teyana Taylor’s G.O.O.D. Music debut, a subpar Nas album, and two forgettable Ye featured joints. At least we got some pure raw from Pusha T though. Lets also not forget The Life of Pablo’s disastrous rollout that saw the perfectionist continuously re-record and mix the album well after its release. Well if Kim says it’s still coming on Friday then hey we gotta belive his wife right? She was the one who broke the news of the album’s existence in the first place. Screenwriter Files Lawsuit Over Taraji P. Henson’s ‘What Men Want’ Film Idea

Source: WENN.com / WENN A screenwriter has filed a lawsuit against a number of entities over claims that the idea for What Men Want starring Taraji P. Henson was stolen from him. The screenwriter named Paramount Pictures, film producer Will Packer and BET in the suit. The Blast reports : He accuses the defendants of infringing on his copyright with their film “What Men Want”, which starred Henson. Carlini claims, “In 2014, Plaintiff began writing an original screenplay for a feature- length film along with David Collins (“Collins”), which had as its central plot point a woman obtaining the ability to hear men’s thoughts. By 2015, Plaintiff and Collins had written a complete draft of the screenplay, titled What The F Is He Thinking?” He continues, “Starting in 2015, Plaintiff and Collins began shopping What The F Is He Thinking? to various production companies, studios, financers and actors. Broadly construed, “shopping” involves the process of circulating and/or pitching a project to various production companies, studios and film financers for the purpose of securing production, financing, and/or distribution of the project. Efforts are also undertaken during the shopping process to attach key talent and/or a director to the project.” He adds, “During the shopping process, Plaintiff and Collins met with representatives of the following production companies and/or studios: Weinstein Company (now Lantern Entertainment), Montage Films, and Bloom. Plaintiff also spoke with potential talent, such as James Franco, Chris Pratt, King Bach, and Nick Swardson. The last meeting Plaintiff had with a studio representative was in July 2017, when he met with a representative from Bloom. At this meeting, Plaintiff provided the screenplay and business plan for What The F Is He Thinking? to the representatives. This was done in furtherance of facilitating a potential business relationship.” Joe Carlini says that although his pitch wasn’t picked up, the defendants named in the suit took his idea and presented to Henson and the producers. Mom Who Provides Free Lunches For Kids In Her Local Community Raises Over $65K For Her Initiative

W hen it comes to supporting the youth, it takes a village. After the story of a St. Louis woman who makes 100 lunches for children in her local community every day made headlines, several donors have stepped up to contribute to her initiative, St. Louis Public Radio reported. For five years, Champale Anderson has used her own money to make free snack bags for kids in her St. Louis neighborhood who would otherwise go hungry. She started a GoFundMe with a goal of $1,500. It's raised more than $60,000. (via @stlpublicradio ) https://t.co/jIHeHeR1wx — NPR (@NPR) September 19, 2019 Champale Anderson —a mother of six—has been providing youngsters in her neighborhood with breakfast, lunch, and snacks for the past five years. After noticing that many of the children in her community were living in poverty and would often go without food, the health care provider decided to take action and launch a project designed to combat hunger. Through her Champ’s Teardrops initiative, she provides students with nutritious bagged lunches and snacks. She has an open-door policy where kids in the community can stop by her home to pick up food. “I noticed the kids they are always hungry. They get off the bus and they take off running and they never know what I will have in the bag. I switch up and have special treats for my special babies,” she told Fox 2 News . “It makes me proud. My goal is to go to different neighborhoods and give out bags.” Since launching a GoFundMe page for her project, Anderson has gone far beyond her $1,500 goal and raised over $65,000. She plans on using the funds to grow her project and continue to make an impact in the lives of children in her community and beyond. Initiatives like Champ’s Tearsdrops are needed as childhood hunger remains an issue in the U.S. According to the nonprofit No Kid Hungry , more than 12 million children in America live in food-insecure households. Further research revealed that 17.9 percent of children under the age of 18 live in homes where there are scarce amounts of food or there is a lack of safe and nutritious food options. As part of the project—which was founded by social entrepreneur Dr. Josh Littlejohn —individuals in 50 cities across the globe will sleep outside for one evening to raise $50 million that will be allocated to organizations that are on a mission to combat homelessness. During the one-night event, Smith will participate in a bedtime story reading in New York City’s Times Square and there will be simultaneous live performances by other entertainers held in Los Angeles, Chicago, Madrid, Amsterdam and other cities. The initiative is a collaborative effort between Social Bite, the Institute of Global Homelessness, UNICEF, the Malala Fund, and the Robin Hood organization and is slated to take place on December 7. “We want to send a message to the world’s political leaders to enact compassionate policy and find solutions for homelessness locally and the global refugee crisis that affects us all,” wrote Littlejohn in a statement on the initiative’s website. “We are a small, interconnected world. By collectively sacrificing our beds for one cold night we can reach out a hand of compassion and solidarity with those who need it most – homeless people on our doorsteps and refugees internationally.” Projects like The World’s Big Sleep Out are needed as homelessness is on the rise internationally. According to The Institute of Global Homelessness , there are 100 million people worldwide who have no housing. Smith and his family have been dedicated to supporting the homeless population. The announcement about his participation in this initiative comes just months after his son Jaden Smith launched a Los Angeles-based vegan food truck that provides free meals for the homeless. Sources are saying that Brown’s refusal to settle the matter out of court after the deadline passed last week has led to the revelation of the explosive details . ESPN reports : Antonio Brown declined to sign a $2 million-plus agreement with Britney Taylor to settle a sexual assault allegation made by the wide receiver’s former trainer, sources told ESPN’s Jeff Darlington. Brown had a deadline last Sunday night to sign the settlement agreement before Taylor’s attorneys sought to file their civil lawsuit against him. After Brown didn’t sign off on the settlement, the suit was filed Tuesday. Settlement discussions began as early as April and included two mediations, one of which occurred in May, sources familiar with the talks told Darlington. Brown’s decision not to sign the settlement came around the same time that he agreed to a deal with the New England Patriots, which his agent revealed Sept. 7 and was formalized Monday. Taylor alleges that Brown assaulted her on two occasions in 2017 and 2018, but Brown’s legal team is standing firm that the relationship and acts between Brown and Taylor were of a consensual nature. — Photo:
