For the first time in nearly two decades, Stevie J is single. And you better believe he's ready to mingle! VH1 has released the first preview for Leave It To Stevie, a spinoff of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta that will turn the spotlight over to none other than Stevie J. What can you expect to see from the multi-time Grammy Award winner? The official VH1 website describes Stevie as “a notorious ladies' man” who has “weathered a long series of turbulent relationships – most famously his volatile romance with Joseline “The Puerto Rican Princess” Hernandez.” It claims that Joseline is now “in the rearview mirror for good,” leaving Stevie ready to “take on the world.” But Joseline herself claims that she's having Stevie's baby , so we're not entirely sure just how free and/or clear Stevie really is. Already with five children, Stevie “will have his hands full” trying to raise these children, the official site continues, as he learns “about the unique challenges of parenting teenagers.” And long the way? Guess what: He'll realize he has some maturing to do himself. Perhaps the kids can even teach their dad a thing or two. WATCH THE TRAILER NOW:

Elizabeth Lauten, the Congressional aide who sparked controversy by slamming Sasha and Malia Obama on Thanksgiving, is resigning from her job. Lauten, who was the communications director for U.S. Rep. Stephen Fincher (R-TN), raised eyebrows over the holiday weekend thanks to a Facebook rant. She wrote about the First Daughters’ appearance at his pardoning of the National Thanksgiving Turkey in terms you would not describe as flattering. “Dear Sasha and Malia,” Elizabeth Lauten began, “I get you’re both in those awful teen years, but you’re a part of the First Family, try showing a little class.” “At least respect the part you play. Then again your mother and father don’t respect their positions very much, or the nation for that matter,” she went on. “So I’m guessing you’re coming up a little short in the ‘good role model’ department. Nevertheless, stretch yourself,” Lauten went on. “Rise to the occasion.” The newly unemployed Lauten wrote of the more casual outfits that Malia Obama, 16, and Sasha Obama, 13, wore to the event, as well as their expressions: “Act like being in the White House matters to you. Dress like you deserve respect, not a spot at a bar. And certainly don’t make faces during televised, public events.” She deleted the initial post, going on to write another message apologizing for her initial reaction, but the second note no longer appears on Facebook either. Following the widespread backlash to her viral post, Lauten told NBC News on Monday, that her resignation from Rep. Fincher’s team is “in the works.” Probably for the best. Bullying teenagers seems a little out of bounds, even though politics is obviously a heated environment wrought with partisanship. Next time, maybe stick with something more universal, that everybody can get behind and come across the aisle to denounce: Michelle’s school lunches … Students Say #ThanksMichelleObama for Gross-Looking Lunch 1. A$AP Rocky just dropped the much anticipated visuals for his new Hit-Boy produced single “Goldie.” I’ve been pretty disappointed with the quality of popular hip hop music videos (with the exception of anything Jason Goldwatch has touched), but I was really pleased with this. The video depicts Rocky and the A$AP mob rolling through Paris and their native Harlem. Rocky easily has some of the best fashion… Broadcasting platform : YouTube Source : Sunset in the Rearview Discovery Date : 03/05/2012 09:00 Number of articles : 2

With our awards for 2011’s best online release in the rearview, Mixtape Daily selects next year’s most anticipated. By Rob Markman Rick Ross Photo: Tim Mosenfelder/ Getty Images Mixtape Daily: Most Anticipated Tapes Of 2012 2011 has been notable for hip-hop mixtape releases. Veteran artists like Lil Wayne and Young Jeezy released mixtapes Sorry 4 the Wait and The Real Is Back, respectively, to build anticipation for their major-label albums. Pusha T and 2 Chainz used their ’11 tapes to brand themselves as soloists after breaking out from their respective Clipse and Playaz Circle roots, while Future and A$AP Rocky emerged as two of the year’s top newcomers. So with the past 12 months almost completely in our rearview, Mixtape Daily looks ahead to 2012 in anticipation of some upcoming gems. Rick Ross and Drake’s Y.O.L.O. (You Only Live Once) Their chemistry is undeniable. After getting together on songs like “Aston Martin Music,” DJ Khaled’s “I’m On One” and “Lord Knows” (the latter off Drizzy’s Take Care ), Drake and Ricky Rozay are planning to hook up on a tag-team mixtape. At first, it sounded as if this was one of those dream collaborations that gets talked about but never executed, but both Drake and Ross have separately confirmed the project. “It’s official, the music is most definitely official,” Ross assured MTV News. “But, you know, me being a boss, I’m trying to find a way that we could put that on the shelves for the world, baby. But it’s most definitely official.” Lil Wayne, A$AP Rocky, Wale and more took prizes for Best 2011 Mixtapes! Fabolous’ There Is No Competition 3 (Death Comes in 3s) Funeral Fab is going back in. In 2011, he took a break from his There Is No Competition series and instead offered up The S.O.U.L. Wiz Khalifa’s Taylor Allderdice > In 2010, Wiz brought us the modern-day classic Kush and Orange Juice. Next up is Khalifa’s ninth solo mixtape, Taylor Allderdice, named after his Pittsburgh high school. In preparation for the tape, the TGOD captain has already released a smoked-out video for “Dessert,” his take on Wale’s “Bait.” Big Sean’s FFOE (Finally Famous Over Everything) Snagging a #1 rap hit this year hasn’t curbed Big Sean’s hunger. Before he drops his sophomore LP in 2012, the G.O.O.D. Music spitter will release FFOE. “I feel like a lot of people who get to put albums out either forget about the mixtape circuit or disregard it. But I know that’s what got me here, the mixtapes,” Sean recently told “RapFix Live.” “I was able to sell out shows doing mixtapes, so I don’t take that lightly. I’m working on the new mixtape, putting real time into it.” Big K.R.I.T.’s 4Eva & a Day With his previous mixtapes — K.R.I.T. Wuz Here, 2011 Mixtape Daily favorite ReturnOf4Eva — K.R.I.T. has set a standard that focuses on high-quality production and album-style attention to detail. Now, the Mississippi upstart can boast one of the game’s most anticipated major-label debuts with his upcoming Live From the Underground.
