Giada De Laurentiis Has To Pay Ex Husband $9K A Month For Child Support Food Network star and chef Giada De Laurentiis has finalized her divorce but it’s going to cost her a lot! Via HuffPo : to divorce docs obtained by People, the 44-year-year-old Food Network star and ex-husband Todd Thompson will share joint custody of their 7-year-old daughter, with De Laurentiis paying her ex $9,000 a month in child support. The former couple — who split last summer after 11 years of marriage — reportedly did not sign a prenup. According to People, De Laurentiis will split profits 50/50 with Thompson from every cookbook she published during their marriage in addition to giving him 50 percent of the unpaid advances to various cookbooks she has in the works. (Those profits alone are worth more than $5 million, according to the mag). Thompson will keep their $3.2 million dollar home in Pacific Palisades. The exes will reportedly divvy up their various bank accounts worth more than $2 million. De Laurentiis announced the couple’s separation on Facebook last December, telling fans, “Todd and I share a beautiful daughter and a lifetime of great memories that we both treasure more than anything.” Last month, the celebrity chef told Extra that cooking helped her cope in the wake of the divorce “Make sure you hit ’em with the prenup!”- Aubrey Graham

They seemed happy together as recently as January, when they were photographed on vacation in Cancun, but long distance reportedly did them in . The stars kept an extremely low profile throughout their relationship, rarely acknowledging the romance in public or being photographed together on purpose. Segel spoke vaguely about Michelle Williams last April, telling Extra , “I think we would just very much like to be happy. That’s all I’m going to say about it.” We wish them the best in this difficult time.

NBC News describes the snafu that befell one patron with a permit to carry a concealed firearm at a recent showing of The Bourne Legacy in Sparks, Nevada. “Witnesses inside the theater told officers the gun fell from the man’s pocket as he was adjusting himself in the seat,” according to the report, “and it fired when it dropped to the floor, striking him in the buttocks.” NBC News has more: “The 56-year-old man then reportedly stood up, apologized to those around him and left the theater before police arrived. He checked himself into a nearby VA hospital in Reno, where he was treated for a gunshot wound to his buttocks, according to a police report. His injury is not considered to be life-threatening.” While the individual reportedly did have a valid permit to carry a gun, the Century 14 theater is part of the Cinemark chain (which also owns the Century 16 in Aurora, Colorado ), which does not allow guns to be carried inside of their theaters.
