Forgive us for sounding like a broken record, but David Cassidy has been arrested for drunk driving. This is the singer’s THIRD such offense. According to TMZ, Cassidy was pulled over after making an illegal right turn off a 405 freeway exit. When officers approached his car, they smelled alcohol on the artist breath. He flunked a subsequent field sobriety test by blowing a .19, twice the legal limit in California. The former Partridge Family star was also arrested for DUI in November 2010 and then again in August 2013 . Cassidy was taken to jail in this case, booked for driving under the influence and released hours later. He should clearly lose his license now and spend a lot of time behind bars.
Like daughter, sadly, like mother. A week after Ke$ha checked into a rehab facility outside of Chicago to deal with an eating disorder, the singer’s mother has gone ahead and followed suit. Pebe Sebert tells People that she is entering the same program as her daughter, telling the magazine today: “I’m checking myself into Timberline Knolls today for post-traumatic stress disorder, at Ke$ha’s urging.” Sebert has been vocal over the past few days about the role music producer Dr. Luke played in her daughter’s struggles , dating back to when he referred to Ke$ha as a “refrigerator” on the set of a music video in 2011. “This whole Dr. Luke thing has almost torn our family apart and taken over my life, and Ke$ha wants me to heal along with her,” Sebert said in her statement. Ke$ha entered rehab on January 3, admitting she is “seeking treatment for my eating disorder … to learn to love myself again. Exactly as I am.” We wish mother and daughter the best of luck.
Los Angeles County Sheriff detectives reportedly have their sights set on Justin Bieber… and they are taking aim. In the wake of Bieber allegedly throwing as many as 20 eggs at his neighbor’s house (an incident that prompted a curse-filled confrontation, the audio from which is posted below) insiders tell TMZ that law enforcement officials are seeking to nail the singer with a FELONY . Considering the items that were hit with eggs – Venetian plaster, expensive doors – the bill may actually end up well into the five figures. Seriously, homes in Calabasas aren’t exactly cheap. It’s where numerous celebrities, such as the Kardashians and Keyshawn Johnson, reside. And because Bieber has run afoul of the law on so many occasions ( driving recklessly , throwing loud parties, drinking underage), officials see this as a prime opportunity to set the star straight. This is the first time in the past year or so since Justin fell off his respectable cliff that the Sheriff’s department has real evidence against Bieber – and it plans to put it to very serious use. I’ve let go of any inkling of her being remotely a role model, and I just embrace her as the white Rihanna.” What does that mean, exactly? Explains the celebrity gossip expert: “Rihanna is not perfect. Rihanna has done a lot of things I don’t like. But I love Rihanna.” Rihanna has yet to respond to the comparison … but there’s no doubt she can Twerk up a storm in her own right. In fact, she sort of shames Miles. No offense, Miles. But the bad girl bar has been set high.
