One of the most horrific stories she's told involves a certain family member grabbing her by the throat and lifting her up to the ceiling. She's been hesitant to reveal exactly which member of her large family did the terrible deed … until now. In this sneak peek for tonight's brand new episode of Marriage Boot Camp, Amy is revealing not only who grabbed her by the throat — she's also revealing why he did it. And her story is more heartbreaking than we could have imagined. According to Amy, her father is the family member who got physical with her. “My dad was like, 'Amy, did you brush your teeth?'” she recalls. “And I was like, 'Yeah, Daddy'” “And he was like 'No you didn't.' And he picked me up by the throat, all the way up to the ceiling. He was like 'You will brush your teeth.' And I was scared sh-tless.” Amy revealed that not only did her own father choke her because he thought she lied about brushing her teeth, but that once he even tried to run her over with a car. Yesterday, we learned that HGTV stars Tarek and Christina El Moussa are separated , following a frightening incident involving firearms and threats of suicide. The confrontation took place in May, but news of the extremely popular Flip or Flop couple’s ugly breakup only went public yesterday. At first little was known about the confrontation that escalated to the point that it necessitated legal intervention. But now, Radar Online has obtained a 911 call and police records that shed new light on the terrifying ordeal. According to those records on May 23 “at approximately 3:45 p.m., Sheriff’s personal responded to a call of a possibly suicidal male with a gun.” Authorities were so concerned that they responded with 22 deputies and a police helicopter. Christina told police that she became concerned after she “received a call from her friend at about 3:30 pm,” the records state. “The friend was in Christina’s bedroom and saw Tarek take a handgun from the safe, place it in his backpack and leave the room. She asked him what he was doing, but he did not answer.” According to the friend, Tarek “did not make any threatening statements,” and the documents state that she “denied that Tarek had ever been suicidal.” Nevertheless, the friend “called Christina and told her to leave the residence because Tarek had a gun.” Tarek left the home shortly thereafter, and was tracked down by police “on a mountainside” nearby. They communicated with him via the helicopter’s PA system, and he agreed to surrender all of his firearms, which included: – A Kahr K9 handgun – A Pietro Baretta – A Springfield EMP 9mm – A Stag Arms AR 15 – A Ruger GP 100 .357. Now that we’re getting a clearer picture of exactly what happened between Tarek and Christina , many expected HGTV to announce the cancelation of their popular house-flipping series. For now, however, it seems the network is planning to stick with two of their most popular personalities, who are still working together. Catelynn Lowell has always been pretty open about how much she struggles with mental illness . She’s suffered from depression and anxiety, and after her daughter Nova was born, she had a pretty nasty time with postpartum depression. Yesterday, Catelynn and Tyler Baltierra went on The Doctors to talk about what they’ve gone through, and while we knew things were hard, we had no idea just how hard. Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra on Postpartum Depression “Well, I started to notice her behavior shifting,” Tyler explains. “Not responding to conversations, sleeping all the time. I thought, ‘I think she’s really, definitely got postpartum.” “It just hit me all at once,” Catelynn adds. “I just started breaking down and crying, and I was like ‘I need help.'” But after a rehab stay and regular therapy, Catelynn says that she’s doing well these days. “I’m feeling really good,” she says, “I’m doing things to continue working on myself, as in therapy and seeing psychiatrists.” She also says that her doctors have been “lowering my meds, slowly and surely, and seeing if I’m feeling, and so far it’s been good.” When asked how Catelynn’s mental health affected their marriage, Tyler says “I think it affected it a lot.” A little bit of an understatement , but yeah, sure. Tyler said that it was hard because he couldn’t really understand what Catelynn was going through, and that he was thinking “It’s fine, just get out of bed, it’s not hard, just do it.” That’s some classic Tyler insensitivit y right there, but he did say that he started researching postpartum depression and he found out that it can be extremely severe for some women. “I think I probably handled it wrong,” he admits, “because I didn’t know, I was very naive.” “I didn’t understand it, so of course there was times where we were like, you know … I’ve maybe been a little insensitive, I didn’t really understand how it worked.” “Marriage is marriage,” Tyler concludes. “I mean, it’s hard.” But even though things were hard, Catelynn and Tyler both laughed when the divorce rumors were brought up. Tyler Baltierra Talks Dealing with a Depressed Spouse “I don’t even read any of the negative stuff,” Catelynn says. Probably a good plan. “We’re so used to rumors,” Tyler adds, “it’s like one day we’re adopting our little brother, the next day we’re getting a divorce.” So rest easy, friends, it sounds like their marriage really is OK, even if it looks kind of miserable on Teen Mom OG. According to Radar, the couple informed her they “plan to name their baby after her” (hilarious) and “Kim was completely taken aback.” “[Kardashian] didn’t know what to say,” a family insider said, and that was before they told her how the baby’s name would be spelled. “They gave Kim an ever bigger shock when they informed her they’d spell their daughter’s name with a ‘Y,’” the source says. Hey … at least it’s sort of original? The 35-year-old reality star is “beyond furious” about this development and is figuring out the right way to tell him and Chyna it’s a no go. Paloma Ford And Nick Young Dating? Father-to-be-again Nick Young was caught by paparazzi heading out for the night with model/singer Paloma Ford. The two tried to play coy by leaving in separate vehicles but Nick’s friend gave up the goods on the pair. We can’t say for sure if this is a first date or a maturing fling, but to paps Nick says “I’m happy” when asked about the two hooking up. TMZ Welp!
