Russell Hantz: Arrested for Assault

Note to Russell Hantz: Survivor is just a game. You gotta chill in real life, dude. The Survivor: Samoa runner-up, who has been categorized as a “villain” on the current season of the CBS competition, was arrested in Louisiana earlier today. According to TMZ, Hantz attacked somebody at a street festival. Police say the reality TV star was having a great time at the Festival International de Louisiane… until he allegedly “shoved” some dude to the ground. He was arrested on the spot and taken to a local jail. Hantz was eventually released and will now have to live with the enormous burden of letting down Jeff Probst.

Solomon Island Hit By 7.1 Magnitude Earthquake

destroyerhistory A powerful earthquake hit Solomon Islands today, April 11, with a magnitude of 7.1 at 8:40pm local time according to the U.S. Geological Survey. No immediate tsunami alert or reports of damage. in the Pacific Ocean. USGS also said that the epicenter was 52km deep, 97 km southwest of the Solomon Islands’ Kira Kira, reported by the Australian Broadcasting Company. ABC quoted Pacific Tsunami Warning Center as saying there was no destructive widespread tsunami threat, but it warned ” Authorities in the region of the epicenter should be aware of this possibility and take action.” Located at South Pacific region, Solomons Islands regularly experiences earthquakes like other island nations. A string of tremors rocked the western Solomon Islands in January, with the largest of 7.2 causing a tsunami estimated at nearly 2.5 meters. Enditem In April 2007, an 8.0-magnitude earthquake in the western Solomons triggered a tsunami that killed more than 50 people and displaced thousands. In September last year, a devastating tsunami swept along coasts in the Pacific islands of Samoa and Tonga, killing 186 people. The Solomon Islands is a country of nearly 1,000 islands in the Pacific Ocean, east of Papua New Guinea, north of Australia.
