Wife Swap Star Charged with Killing Mom, Brother

Jacob Stockdale, perhaps recognized by a handful of readers due to his appearance on the reality show Wife Swap, has been officially charged with the murder of his mother and his brother. The horrifying alleged incident took place in June of 2017, as written about in detail HERE . According to TMZ at the time, the 25-year old took the life of his two relatives inside their family in Stark County, Ohio. He then turned the gun on himself, but actually survived the self-afflicted blast. Jacob’s 54-year-old mother, Katherine, and his 21-year-old brother, James, were both pronounced dead on the scene when authorities arrived. A well-known fiddler, Stockdale and his family were featured on Wife Swap in 2008 and he was placed in critical condition after the failed suicide attempt. He was under doctor’s and rehabbed for months to repair extensive damage after the probable double murder. In the latest update to this horrible story, orosecutors in Ohio charged Stockdale with two counts of murder, per TMZ sources. However, they will NOT seek the death penalty, specificially asking a judge not to have Stockdale executed. Stark County Prosecutor John Ferrero says the case was presented to a grand jury, which ultimately decided the death penalty was not an appropriate punishment for this ex-reality star. We still do not know why Jacob (allegedly) committed this unimaginable crime. Back in 2008, the Stockdales made headlines for their appearance on Wife Swap. Jacob and his relatives described themselves as a deeply religious family who lived by strict rules, not totally unlike The Duggars . Jacob has two other brothers and a father; they were not home at the time of this homicide. The dad, Tim Stockdale, issued a statement about his late wife not long after news of her death went public. It reads as follows: Kathy has been my beloved wife of 32 years and a wonderful mother to our four sons. She loved nothing more than being a mother and grandmother. She had a strong love of learning and was passionate about her Christian faith, natural health, and organic farming. This is a photo of Kathy: Stockdale faces up to life in prison for his reported actions. The Stockdales made their living traveling throughout the Midwest, performing as a family bluegrass band. They were a popular group around town and in the vicinity of their home and performed together mere days before this tragedy transpired. May Katherine and James Stockdale rest in peace.

The Walking Dead Recap: Who’s The Killer?

The final path for Rick and Maggie is starting to take shape.  As previously reported, both Andrew Lincoln and Lauren Cohan are departing The Walking Dead during the first half of the current season.  Sunday’s episode picked up Justin becoming a member of the undead, but all of the communities had no idea where he was.  The Saviors were especially mad because they knew something happened to him, but the person was just going to get away with it.  As all the communities tried to find him, Maggie noticed the reanimated version of him looking for some fine dining on the streets.  Among the pool of suspects in the spate of disappearances were Daryl, Maggie, and Jadis. Daryl and Maggie have long been against the Saviors, and for a good reason.  But Jadis had an alibi … or so we thought. Gabriel told the others she was him the night Justin went missing, so she could not be the one in the frame.  After yet another big bust-up, Alden opened up to Rick about the Saviors feeling more at ease if they were trusted to have a firearm.  Rick was not ready to reason with him and said that it was not out of the question. It was all a matter of finding out who was responsible for these disappearances.  “You trust me, don’t you?” Alden said to Maggie. “How about trusting a few other people who’ve made a change?” Rick ultimately grilled Daryl about the murder, and it showed just how fraught this friendship had become.  “If I’d-a killed him, I’d-a killed him in plain sight,” Daryl complained, leading to Rick claiming that they were building a better future and they had to do their best to stick to it.  But Daryl had heard it all before and felt like the Saviors took a lot of their comrades from them.  “But killing each other when the world already belongs to the dead, it’s not the way, not anymore,” said Rick after claiming that killing is not the way forward anymore.  Gabriel continued to question whether Jadis was only with him because she wanted a cover story for all of her misdeeds.  The plot thickened when Jadis returned to her former stomping grounds, and brought out a walkie-talkie and called someone.  “What do you have, an A or a B?” said the man who replied. “I paid my share,” she responded After going back on forth on letters, Jadis said she would have an A by the next day.  Okay then.  When she returned to Gabriel she gave him the following offer: “There’s another place that’s far from here,” she said, “but if we go together, we can get there.” She was trading people for supplies for her people. But Gabriel did not want to help out and found himself knocked out.  Daryl and Maggie found their way to a house that Cyndie once lived, and they found Cyndie, Bea and another girl going at it with Arat.  The Saviors had murdered all of their friends and family, and that’s why they took action to take them down.  After some back and forth, Maggie and Daryl allowed the women to murder Arat for his crimes.  “We gave Rick’s way a chance,” she said. “It’s time to see Negan.” What will become of these characters? The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 5 Recap: Tension at Hilltop

Have you been missing Maggie? If so, then you were in for a treat on The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 5 as we got to see just how fractured leadership was at the Hilltop Colony.  If you watch The Walking Dead online , you’ll know that Maggie and Sasha made a break for the colony after Negan murdered both Abraham and Glen on The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 1 .  It’s definitely not scenes you could easily forget, but catching up with the characters was pretty intriguing. Maggie got some much-needed confirmation that her pregnancy was going as planned.  However, she was told to rest up for a few days to get over the emotional trauma she was put threw watching her baby daddy being brutally murdered.  When she and Sasha went to pay their respects to their fallen friends, Gregory showed up and made it clear he wanted Maggie out of the colony because he didn’t want to have any more dealings with the Alexandria crowd.  This was a bit rich when you consider the fact that the Alexandria group only went to war with the saviors to save Gregory’s people. Sasha and Maggie were quick to point this out, but he didn’t give a damn.  He revealed that Maggie could stay the night, but she would be leaving first thing in the morning. So much for the hospitality he gave her when she was wheeling and dealing with him last year.  Gregory was no doubt terrified at the prospect of the Saviors showing up and attacking his people. There’s no telling what Negan would do if he got wind of Gregory’s involvement.  That night, Maggie and Sasha were shocked to the core when the gates to the colony were knocked down and a car was in the courtyard with loud music. This was drawing all of the walkers into the colony and making things very difficult.  Sasha pleaded with Maggie to stay in the trailer while she went off on her own to save them. Pretty much as soon as Sasha made her escape from the trailer, Maggie was out in the open and barking orders at people.  Even though she was ill, she knew what she had to do in order to save everyone. She got in a tractor and ran over the car until the music stopped playing. It really was the best course of action and it proved she’s a natural leader.  The next morning, Jesus, Maggie and Sasha pled their case to Gregory to allow them to stay, but they were stopped in their tracks by the arrival of the Saviors.  Maggie and Sasha were put in hiding to avoid being murdered. Simon and the group of the saviors went into the house and immediately started laying down the law. Gregory was trying every trick in the book in order to get them away.  He offered them everything he could, but he lost all of his alcohol and art. It was a thrilling turn of events, but it was needed to show that absolutely no group is safe from the wrath of the Saviors. After the meeting, Maggie went to Gregory to tell him she would not be leaving and that he was to quit calling her names. He obviously felt defeated after losing most of his inventory and looking pretty stupid.  Maggie was then shocked to the core when Enid showed up. Enid hitched a ride with Carl and the two of them seemed to get a lot closer.  Watch The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 4 Online It would be such a shame if they never got the chance to meet up again. Couples just don’t seem to have a long shelf life on this show. Right now, Carl is on his way to Negan’s base with Jesus, but what is their master plan? The episode was pretty solid overall, but there were some minor issues. View Slideshow: 15 Highest Paid Actors on TV: Who’s #1? Simon was a little too nice to Gregory compared to the way Negan would have acted.  The show seems to be taking some of the characters in interesting directions, but who will die next? There’s always death on this show and we have went a few weeks without it.  Could we be in for another massacre? What did you think of the episode? Sound off below! The Walking Dead Preview: A Slice of Season 7

The Walking Dead returned with a bang on Sunday night. Or, to be more precise, The Walking Dead returned with a bat on Sunday night. And that bat was slammed into the heads of two main characters, both of whom were killed off the show in very gruesome fashion. The Walking Dead Season 7: What’s Ahead? Rest in peace, Abraham. And rest in peace, Glenn. Both of these heroes lost their lives at the hands of Negan on The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 1 , with the drama’s most frightening villain to date making it very clear that he’s in charge. But don’t take our word it. Take the word of Andrew Lincoln’s Rick Grimes. “Let me put this to all of you as clearly as I can,” he says in the extended preview above. “I’m not in charge anymore. Negan is.” Elsewhere in this trailer, we see Daryl getting shown the scary ropes of the Saviors’ territory by Dwight, as Negan makes another point clear: “I don’t think you get it yet,” he says. “You work for me.” Aside from the promo featured here, AMC also released a clip from next Sunday’s new installment, which is titled “The Well.” It features Carol on the mend in the Kingdom with Morgan, who tells his friend of the Kingdom leader: “He does his own thing.” “Uh, what does that mean?” she asks. The Walking Dead Clip: Welcome to The Kingdom The Walking Dead Season 7 premiere has received some backlash for just how violent it was, setting a new standard even for a show who has violence to thank for its immense popularity. Why did we need to see Glenn’s eyes pop out? Why did the camera need to linger on his lifeless body in such a manner? Explained director Greg Nicotero in a conference call with reporters today: “It was important to launch us into this season by showing the extent of what Negan is capable of doing, because that drives so much of where the series is going from here on in.” Moreover, to him Nicotero seeing Rick, “our hero, completely crushed… is more disturbing than the actual violence.” Some folks out there might disagree. Did YOU think the premiere was too violent? Did the series go too far on Sunday night? Yes, that was ridiculous! No, the show has always been violent. Whatever, I stopped watching ages ago. View Poll » Why did two people need to get killed off? “We really needed to drive Rick and Negan’s story throughout the season, and we felt that one death would do the trick, but the second death – Glenn’s death – really propels us into a very different direction,” Nicotero said, adding: [That second murder is] really about Negan laying down the law. So [it] has a lot to do with Rick’s future story, Maggie’s future story and certainly Daryl’s future story.” Interesting. You can use the following video to watch The Walking Dead online and see what the controversy was all about now: Watch The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 1 Online Response to the premiere has been less than positive, with fans upset over the blood, gore and violence… along with perceived manipulation of producers waiting until halfway through the hour to reveal Negan’s victims. What does Nicotero have to say to those who have threatened to stop watching? “Listen… I’ve been shocked at the turns of events on [Game of Thrones]. But you know what? I still love it. And I’m still committed to seeing where that story goes. “So I think it’s a kneejerk reaction that people have, because they care about these characters. That’s a tribute to every single actor on our show that has perished. “It’s unfortunate that people want to take a negative spin on it… [and especially] if that’s really what’s going to happen [and they’ll stop watching], because the show still has a lot to offer!” WILL YOU KEEP WATCHING THE WALKING DEAD?
