Twitter’s New Sparkle Button Lets You Choose How To View Tweets

Source: SOPA Images / Getty Tired of Twitter’s algorithm choosing what Tweets you should see or reverse-chronological timeline? Well, we are happy to report this latest update will give users the ability to choose which way they want to view Tweets instead of being stuck with either or. Twitter fell in love with the idea that it thinks its users would rather see old Tweets they have missed or popular Tweets the algorithm believes you would want to see. In reality, most Tweeters would still rather just see new Tweets from individuals they follow pop on their timeline in real time one after the other. But just so no feelings will be heard and to reduce the number of people sending off angry Tweets about its algorithm, the company introduced the new ‘Sparkle Button’ that allows you to switch back and forth between either timeline options. The new feature is rolling out for iOS users starting today and coming soon to Android owners soon. New on iOS! Starting today, you can tap to switch between the latest and top Tweets in your timeline. Coming soon to Android. pic.twitter.com/6B9OQG391S — Twitter (@Twitter) December 18, 2018 There is a downside to the addition of the ‘Sparkle Button’ because it takes the place of the settings button. So to gain access to the settings menu you will have to access in the accounts hub when you click on your Twitter avi. We won’t be shocked if there is a contingent of users who will find this very inconvenient. Still, a very interesting update to say the least. We shall see if it improves everyone’s Tweeting experience going forward or it makes it even worse. — Photo: SOPA Images / Getty

Drake’s Wants Apple To Fix The I Glitch, But We Know How To Fix It Now

Follow this link:

Did Drake just sum up all of our frustrations over this damn Apple I glitch? If you haven’t noticed, although it’s damn near impossible not to, people have been getting an A and an ? mark everytime they type the letter I. We want it fixed asap. Apple is working on a permanent fix but until then here’s how to stop the glitch. “Here’s what you can do to work around the issue until it’s fixed in a future software update:” Go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Text Replacement. Tap + For Phrase, type an upper-case “I”. For Shortcut, type a lower-case “i.” Good Luck and happy texting.

James Bond’s Sex Life By The Numbers − Busy Yet Conventional

With film bloggers and critics going on about how Skyfall   is a James Bond movie that depicts 007 as a human being instead of a cartoon character, I want to draw attention to a smart infographic posted by TinyMaster on Visual.ly   that compiles some interesting data about where — and how many times — James Bond has hooked up over the 50 years he’s been on the big screen. TinyMaster is the handle of Emma Price , who has designed what she calls a “Nymphographic” that breaks down the settings of Bond’s “implied,” as she puts it, sex scenes by movie and, at the end, posts a running tally of each type of encounter.  (She’s left a blank for Skyfall which, presumably, she’ll be filling in soon since she’s UK-based.) The fun part is that Bond has gotten busy on a space shuttle, a ferris wheel and an iceberg-shaped submarine, but what I found particularly interesting is that, despite Bond’s reputation as a sexual adventurer, 37 of the 75 encounters detailed in Price’s Nymphographic (see below) took place in a bed, two happened on the floor, two unfolded in cars and one happened on a couch.  That sounds like a typical teenager’s sex life — over the course of a handful of months, by the way, not 50 years. Maybe James does need to get his mojo back. Follow Frank DiGiacomo on Twitter. Follow TinyMaster on Twitter. Follow Movieline on Twitter.
