It’s been an ugly divorce for celeb chef Bobby Flay and his now ex-wife Stephanie March. Flay and March separated in April, and immediately things got ugly. March claimed she made Flay famous by being his taste tester. It was a silly argument, but it put her in the running for a hefty sum of money. Since then, they have been battling it out over how much money March deserves when their marriage is officially terminated. But Stephanie wasn’t willing to end the battle there. In an epic celebrity divorce moment, while Bobby Flay gave his Hollywood Walk of Fame acceptance speech, a plane flew overhead carrying a banner that said “cheater.” Stephanie swears she wasn’t behind the banner. But we aren’t so sure! But despite the drama, the former married couple has settled on a divorce agreement . Finally! When the couple married 10 years ago, Stephanie signed a prenup that gave her a $5,000 a month. For most folks, that’s a lot of money. But Flay’s net worth is over $20 million. With his hefty bank account, Stephanie wanted more than just 5K a month. According to sources, the negotiations between the two were difficult. However, Stephanie came out with the upper hand because Bobby wanted to avoid trial. Likely, with allegations that Flay cheated with Giada De Laurentiis , he knew the trial wouldn’t end in his favor. So this was probably Bobby’s best option. A source claimed, “He didn’t want a plane flying over the courthouse,” referring to the Hollywood Walk of Fame “cheater” situation. It isn’t clear how much Stephanie got in the settlement. But sources say she did just fine.

James McNair’s Family Paid $10 Million By Walmart For His Death In Tracy Morgan Car Crash ‘Bout damn time! Via DNAifno The family of a comedian friend of Tracy Morgan who was killed last June when a Wal-Mart truck crashed into a luxury van he was riding in got $10 million from the retail giant to settle a lawsuit, DNAinfo New York has learned. Wal-Mart made the large payout to the family of James McNair to avoid potential losses from litigation, the McNair family’s lawyer said in court papers. Under the settlement, McNair’s two children, Jamel, 26, and Denita, 19, will split the payout after their lawyer, Daryl Zaslow, takes a nearly $3 million cut, according to court records. The children had sued Wal-Mart after one of its trucks slammed into a limousine van carrying McNair, Morgan and other comedians on the New Jersey Turnpike on June 7, 2014. New Jersey police charged the truck’s driver, Kevin Roper, with death by automobile and four other vehicle assault charges. The McNairs signed the settlement in October, but the deal wasn’t announced until January. At the time, the terms of the settlement were not revealed because of a confidentiality agreement both sides signed. But legal documents filed last month in Westchester Surrogate’s Court revealed the big payout to James McNair’s estate — and that Wal-Mart did not want the settlement sum publicized for fear it would hurt business. Congratulations to the McNair family. No amount of money can even come close to replacing a person you love, but hopefully this money will allow them to live a comfortable life in his absence. R.I.P. Evelyn’s success actually cost her in this case… Evelyn Lozada Paid Settlement As Part Of Ex Fiancé’s Bankruptcy Earlier this week reports hit the web that Evelyn Lozada settled a lawsuit in regards to debts her ex-fiancé former NBA player Antoine Walker owed when he filed bankruptcy. According to Jasmine Brand reports , Evelyn was hit with a lawsuit by the trustee of her ex-fiance Antoine Walker’s bankruptcy case, who accused the reality star of being sent a series of bank wires by her ex over the years totaling over $600,000 — money the trustee believes should have gone to his debts. Lozada settled the case last year for $40,000. BOSSIP spoke with Evelyn Lozada exclusively to get the details on exactly what happened and not only did she reveal inconsistencies in the amount she reportedly owed, she also denied claims that she was aware of Walker’s dire financial situation and that money he sent her was used to start her shoe business! “That’s not true,” Evelyn told BOSSIP exclusively. “When we were in the process of breaking up, it was one of those long breakups, I started doing what I needed to do and saving my money because I wanted to open the store. It’s not like he ever said here is a lump sum to open the store. That never happened.” As for the other details about the settlement that were made public this week, Lozada is most concerned that she’s being portrayed as someone who intentionally set out to help Walker hide his money. On the contrary, she says she had no idea Walker was in financial trouble at all during their relationship. “This is the reality of it,” Lozada told BOSSIP exclusively. “When I received the legal papers in regards to this case, I was at a photo shoot with my ex when my ex-business partner told me some papers were being sent in regards to my ex-fiancé. I didn’t understand what I would have to do with his bankruptcies, aside from me being with him for ten years, because I had no inkling what was going on. At the end of the day it was his money.” Without any insight into Walker’s accounts, Lozada had been carrying on as any other athlete’s wife or girlfriend would have. “When we received the papers they thought I should have known, but the wires went all the way back in 2006,” Lozada reveals. “That was when he played in Miami, life was great for us, we had just gotten engaged. I would do things that any fianceé would do, like pay certain household bills. He had his own financial people. I didn’t do anything more than what most athlete’s wives do, most of them take care of the house and the kids and they take care of their man, it’s not easy. Even just talking to my friends who are married, they’re like, ‘What? This could happen to me?’ I’m like ‘Yes, if your man ever files bankruptcy they can come after you.” “It’s like when you’re with somebody for so long… I worked for three years and life started to get crazy, I was traveling all the time and he did the same thing everyone did with their wife/fiancees.” Hit the flip for more from Evelyn about how she made the decision to settle the lawsuit against her and why she was so upset about how her role in the matter has been portrayed. You cannot be f***ing serious … Oscar Grant’s Friends Settle Lawsuit With BART For $175,000 Via AP Five friends of Oscar Grant, the man who was fatally shot by a San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit police officer, have reached a deal to settle a federal lawsuit against the agency, officials said. Jack Bryson Jr., Nigel Bryson, Michael Greer, Carlos Reyes and Fernando Anicete Jr. will split $175,000 as part of the settlement reached late last month, their attorney John Burris said Tuesday. The BART board approved the settlement May 8, BART spokeswoman Alicia Trost said Wednesday. The men filed a federal civil rights lawsuit for $1.5 million in 2009 claiming excessive force and illegal detainment. Burris said Tuesday that the men are relieved the case is over. “This closes a very traumatic and tragic chapter for these young men,” he said. “Unfortunately, they will never get over witnessing their friend’s death.” Trost said the settlement closes the case for a “considerably smaller amount compared to what would have been a long and costly trial if allowed to move forward.” The five men were detained on BART’s Fruitvale Station platform in Oakland along with Grant, who was shot and killed by then-BART police officer Johannes Mehserle. If you’ll remember… Grant’s mother, Wanda Johnson, and Grant’s young daughter, Tatiana, also received financial settlements from BART totaling $2.8 million as a result of the shooting. That brings Oscar Grant’s life value to a grand total of just under $3 million. At the risk of equating different people’s pain and suffering, isn’t it sad that these 5 young men, who actually WITNESSED their friend being gunned down, were only awarded such a paltry settlement?
