As a girl who made a terrible rap video about the “right reasons” for being on the show, The Bachelorette star found it to be a tough pill to swallow. After James allegedly implied to his co-stars that he saw his “journey” as a stepping stone to becoming The Bachelor next January, Des was hurt. This followed Bryden Vukasin abruptly leaving after flying all the way to Germany, and Des learning that Ben Scott totes had ulterior motives too. Reports even suggest she almost abandoned the show after this, or that it contributed to her picking no one , depending on what or who you believe. “There were several moments where she said ‘I want to go home,'” a show insider revealed of Des’ mindset. “She thought ‘What else is going to happen?'” According to the source, Desiree went so far as to have “multiple conversations with producers about going home. Tough break today for former Miss Pennsylvania Sheena Monnin in court. She lost an appeal and owes Miss USA $5 million for defaming the organization. Monnin resigned as Miss Pennsylvania last year, saying Miss USA contest was rigged – claims that did not hold water in the eyes of a judge. She claimed another contestant learned the top five finishers hours before the show, then turned in her crown when those contestants were named during the show. She posted a series of messages on Facebook and spoke publicly about her claims. Doanld Trump’s Miss Universe Organization sued her immediately. An arbitrator ruled against her in December, and determined that her allegations cost the pageant a $5 million fee from a potential 2013 sponsor. U.S. District Court Judge J. Paul Oetken upheld the decision. Monnin appealed, claiming the arbitrator overstepped his authority, his decision disregarded law, and she didn’t know the hearing was taking place. The judge disagreed on each of those grounds. Sheena Monnin , of Cranberry, Pa., said in a Facebook post Thursday evening that she is glad the truth is out there, regardless of the outcome. “This is not about me being a ‘sore loser’ or wanting my ’15 minutes of fame'” she wrote, sticking by a story that has been widely disregarded. “This is about the MUO’s admission under oath that they manipulate the judges’ results to suit their own ends. This is not what they advertise to the public.” Miss USA organizers think Monnin resigned because she disagreed with a decision to allow transgender contestants, then sought to trash the pageant. They made public text from an email Monnin sent citing the decision to allow natural-born males into the competition as the reason for her resignation. A transgender contestant was initially denied entry to the Miss Universe Canada pageant because she was born male, but Trump overruled that decision. Olivia Culpo of Rhode Island won the Miss USA pageant that year. Monnin wrote on Facebook page that her legal fees amount to more than $50,000 and she needed financial support, including a link for donations. Don’t hold your breath on that note, Sheena. Trump’s lawyer said he applauded the judge’s decision but was surprised Monnin stood by her story. “I’m shocked to see that she has yet to learn her lesson. I thought she would be smarter the second time around,” attorney Michael Cohen said.

The U.S. Supreme Court announced it will not hear an appeal of a lawsuit by plaintiffs – including Buena Park, Calif., Pastor Wiley Drake – claiming that Barack Obama is not a natural-born citizen and so cannot legitimately hold the presidency. The nation’s highest court threw out the case , hopefully the last of its kind. The Prez scores a rare win … that he’d already “won” several times . Santa Ana-based U.S. District Judge David Carter as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit had previously ruled that the plaintiffs did not have legal standing. Putting the matter to rest, the Supreme Court upheld that ruling. Probably because Obama was born in Hawaii … imagine that. More interestingly and legitimately, a report recently suggested Obama may have once lied about being born in Kenya to boost his literary resume.
Karina Brez, the reigning Miss Florida title holder, is speaking out and denying the allegations lobbed by former Miss Pennsylvania Sheena Monnin this week. Specifically, that Brez found out Miss USA is rigged . Monnin is now being sued by the Miss Universe Organization over her accusations, which stem from Brez’s alleged discussion of seeing a list of the five finalists before last week’s pageant even took place – which Brez denied. Sheena Monnin claims Brez said she saw the list of the final five, but Miss Florida claims what she saw did not reflect the big Miss USA winner(s). “Looking back, it’s definitely a rehearsal list, because from the names that I read off that sheet, it wasn’t even the top five,” Brez told E! News. The pageant’s eventual winner, Olivia Culpo, wasn’t even on it, she adds. “It was nowhere close to what [Monnin] is saying, so her claims are incorrect … I know that I made the comment out loud saying something about a rehearsal list backstage … maybe she assumed that I said a fact, [while] I said it jokingly.” “I honestly don’t even remember speaking to her … I feel bad at how this has been handled … [Monnin’s] been taking it just way too far.” When Donald Trump seems like the voice of reason, we’d have to agree.
Kristen Danyal, Miss Michigan USA, is finding herself in some hot water this week after a photo of her apparently partying HARD hit the web. But rest assured, she says she does not drink. Mmm hmm. Despite the image below, Kristen insists that she did not have even ONE DROP of vodka during the Miss USA 2012 after party in Vegas Sunday. She posed with the bottle, she says, but never swallowed. The 27-year-old swears she doesn’t drink whatsoever – she’s not “that kind of person” – but posed for the photo above because friends goaded her into it. Kristen told TMZ , which posted the image, “Everyone was telling me to drink and wanted me to drink, but everyone that knows me knows I don’t drink.” Danual says friends just tried to make her laugh: “I had friends who came to watch me and other girls from previous pageants saying ‘Drink! Drink!'” “They knew I was upset about losing the pageant and tried to cheer me up.” Basically, there’s no way of proving she drank it, and as Bill Clinton proved, you can make absurd excuses like this and still be revered in 15 years. Also, Sheena Monnin is occupying all of D-Trump’s wrath at the moment.
