On Friday, she posted a heartwarming video of her and the late rapper having a late night couple’s chat, and it’s too adorable for words. She wrote, “I can’t believe you aren’t here anymore. i really can’t wrap my head around it. we talked about this. so many times. i’m so mad, i’m so sad i don’t know what to do. you were my dearest friend. for so long. above anything else. i’m so sorry i couldn’t fix or take your pain away. i really wanted to.”   Ari’s love for Mac was real. Bill Paxton: Cause of Death Revealed

The official cause of Bill Paxton’s death has been revealed following the 61-year-old acting great’s tragic passing two weekends ago. Paxton died February 25 at Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, as confirmed by his family. Now we know the reasons why. According to the death certificate, obtained by TMZ, his death triggered by an aneurysm that required surgery which resulted in a stroke.  Paxton had just undergone valve replacement surgery to correct an aortic aneurysm problem, and complications arose from the operation. Eleven days later, he suffered the fatal stroke.  The death certificate states that Bill had the surgery on February 14  and died on February 25, which is consistent with his family’s statement. “It is with heavy hearts we share the news that Bill Paxton has passed away due to complications from surgery,” the family said then.  Having left this world far too soon, he leaves behind a legacy in film and TV that ranks him among the all-time greats in his profession. “Bill’s passion for the arts was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth and tireless energy were undeniable,” the statement continued. His passion for the arts was matched by fans’ passion for his work in them, as evidenced by his impressive, almost underrated resume. Tombstone, Apollo 13 , and A Simple Plan are just a few of Bill’s movie roles that have enjoyed immense popularity throughout the years. Paxton was also a highly regarded TV actor, especially within the last decade, when he starred on HBO’s polygamy drama Big Love . On top of five seasons headlining that series, Paxton was also nominated an Emmy Award for 2012’s The Hatfields and the McCoys . He was starring in CBS’ Training Day at the time of his death. The native Texan’s first brush with fame was entirely accidental; Bill witnessed the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963. A photo of an eight-year-old Bill being lifted onto his dad’s shoulders still hangs in a museum commemorating the life and death of JFK. As an aspiring actor, he played a number of low-budget, bit film roles upon moving to Hollywood before landing his big break in a 1980s classic. Bill met a young director named James Cameron on the set of The Terminator , and a part in that film is what allowed his career to take off. Their relationship grew, and Paxton went on to star in some of Cameron’s best-known films, including the box office behemoth Titanic . No film had made nearly as much money as the 1997 love story – a classic two decades later and still among the highest-grossing ever. That’s pretty awesome, and just part of the reason so many tributes to Paxton from family, friends, and fans began pouring upon his death. A testament to the impact of his life, he was mourned the world over, by those who knew him personally and those who knew his work. Paxton is survived by a wife and two children. Our condolences go out to them and to his family members, friends and fans the world over. R.I.P. View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Died in 2017: In Memoriam

Steve Harvey Responds to Best Picture Flub: I’ve Been There, Folks!

Steve Harvey suddenly has something significant in common with Warren Beatty. But it has nothing to do with the massive number of women with whom Beatty has had sex. Instead, it’s the embarrassment of making an epically famous mistake on a national awards show stage. In December of 2015, Harvey concluded the Miss Universe Pageant by announcing Miss Colombia as the winner. The only problem at the time? Miss Colombia was not actually the winner. That honor actually belonged to Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach of the Philippines, a gross error that Harvey was forced to come out and admit minutes after misinforming the audience initially. It was quite the snafu, although it didn’t do much harm to Harvey’s career. Considering he was invited back to host the same beauty pageant a year later. Steve Harvey Announces WRONG Miss Universe Winner: You Gotta Watch This! On Sunday night, meanwhile, Warren Beatty was at the center of the greatest gaffe in Academy Awards history. Due to an envelope mix-up that really was not his fault, the legendary actor helped tell the world that La La Land had won Best Picture for 2017. Except it hadn’t. Moonlight had won Best Picture for 2017. Watch this VERY awkward snafu take place in the following video: Oscars 2017 Best Picture: There’s Been a Mistake! Soon after the proper victor was crowned, host Jimmy Kimmel tried to lighten the tense mood, quipping on stage: “Guys, this is very unfortunate what happened. Personally, I blame Steve Harvey for this.” It was a pretty good line, but it also gave Harvey a chance to milk the situation for as much attention as he possibly could. “Good morning everybody! Went to sleep early last night. So…what I miss? #Oscars,” the comedian Tweeted this morning, prior to using the mistake as a PR opportunity. “Tune in to @SteveHarveyFM at 8 AM ET today for my response to last night’s #Oscars . YOU KNOW I have something to say,” he added. On his radio show, Harvey proceeded to wax at length about the Oscars flub. “I know all about this. I know more than anyone else in the world about this,” said the 60-year-old. “I am the creator of these moments. The epicurean of this.” Harvey went on reference a number reactions made on social media to the televised mistake. “Because Warren made a mistake, does he have to die?” Harvey joked. “Should he lose his life? Y’all wanna kill him? Well he needs security because of this.” Prior to the cast and crew from Moonlight accepting the Best Picture prize, Beatty jumped back on the microphone and explained what happened, saying he was confused the second he opened the envelope because it read “Emma Stone, La La Land.” Since this snafu took place, PricewaterhouseCoopers, the auditing firm that tallies the Oscars votes, issued an apology and took responsibility. At least the producers of the Oscars walked out with him… and they corrected the mistake on the night.” Concluded Harvey on his show: “Warren I know your pain!” “I can help Warren get through this. I’m [going to] show him how to handle it with dignity and grace. Thank God for producers who stand with their talent. Unlike waiting the next day to handle it with the press, as it was suggested in my ear… “I can help Warren get through this. Call me Warren, baby.”

Bill Paxton: Mourned in Very Cool Way by Storm Chasers

At the time of his stunning death over the weekend , Bill Paxton was starring in Training Day, a lackluster drama on CBS. Over the course of his impressive career, the actor was nominated for three Golden Globe Awards due to his performance on HBO’s Big Love. To many, however, Paxton will be best remembered for his role in 1996’s Twister, an action movie in which Paxton starred opposite Helen Hunt as a professional storm chaser. It is against this backdrop that hundreds of real-life storm chasers paid tribute to Paxton on Sunday. They spelled out the veteran actor’s initials (“BP”) using GPS coordinates on a map across the “tornado alley” in Kansas and Oklahoma. The “tornado alley” boundaries are not clearly defined, but it spreads across 19 states. According to John Wetter, who works with the National Weather Service, storm chasers have never before spelled out the initials of a non –storm chaser before. But the gesture symbolizes what kind of influence Paxton and Twister had on this profession. “There are probably hundreds, if not thousands, of meteorologists today – myself included – who were impacted by the movie Twister and the role Bill played in that,” Wetter told the Associated Press, adding: “Twister was kind of the first time in a mass media place the meteorologist became cool, if only for a little while.” Paxton passed away on Saturday following complications from heart surgery. It is believed he suffered a stroke. “A loving husband and father, Bill began his career in Hollywood working on films in the art department and went on to have an illustrious career spanning four decades as a beloved and prolific actor and filmmaker,” his rep said in a statement soon afterward. “Bill’s passion for the arts was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth and tireless energy were undeniable. We ask to please respect the family’s wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their adored husband and father.” The actor is survived by his wife, Louise Newbury, and two children James and Lydia. He was honored at the 89th Annual Academy Awards during the In Memoriam segment on Sunday night, although not in the video itself because his death took place just 24 hours before the show aired. Said Jennier Aniston, staving off tears, upon introducing the In Memoriam photo gallery and clip snow: Tonight, as we celebrate together, we also take a moment to mourn the many legends we lost this past year. Whether they were a musical prince leading the revolution on a concert stage or a movie princess leading the rebellion in a galaxy far, far away, a force of nature in front of the camera or a force driving it, each and every one was a cherished member of our Hollywood family. As was beloved actor and friend who left us just yesterday, Bill Paxton. All were loved and all will be missed. Amen.
