The soft-core smash Sex and Zen 3-D: Extreme Ecstasy — a/k/a “the world’s first 3-D erotic film” that trumped even Avatar ‘s opening-day box-office record in Hong Kong — has an appointment with the States. U.S. distributor China Lion announced the acquisition today; the deal was brokered at this year’s Cannes market. “It is just like [being a] voyeur near someone’s bed,” said one producer, greasing the skids for the eventual theatrical landing.
