Let me start off by saying I never thought I would be able to meet Justin because money is super tight in my family, but once I found out he was coming to my city in July, I made up my mind. I had to do everything I possibly could do try and win meet and greet passes. It all started the week before the concert. All these local radio stations started coming out with contests to win meet & greet passes, so of course I entered every single contest I could. There was not one contest that I did not enter. I tried calling in to guess how many Swedish fish were in a jar, I got up EVERY SINGLE morning that whole week to listen at 7 a.m to see if I would hear my name called on the radio, sadly they didn’t call my name. I went to a screaming contest to see if I could win that, I didn’t. I even made my sister and her 2 guy friends come with me go-carting (you had to be 18 or older to race, I’m 15). I was not gonna let anything bring me down, I still had one more chance, it was BieberFever. I knew they emailed the winners the day before the concert. At around 4 o’clock I just checked my email to see if anything was there and all of a sudden I see: “CONGRATULATIONS VICTORIA!” and I flipped out. I started to scream so loudly, I started bawling my eyes out and running outside. My friend who was coming to the concert with me was over and she didn’t believe me until I showed her the e-mail. Everyone had told me, “Victoria stop trying,” “You’re not gonna win” or “You’re just like every girl who wants to meet him.” I kept thinking to myself, “Something good is going to happen,” and it did. It just goes to show NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS. I know that probably sounds beyond cheesy, but when Justin says “Never say never” he means it. My name is Disha and I’m from Mauritius. In December I found out that Justin was doing a concert in Cape Town, South Africa and my dad had promised me to get tickets to the show. In February, I found out that they were selling meet and greets for the concert and I asked my dad to get them. I found out that there were only 30 tickets and they were all sold out. I was so upset that I couldn’t meet my idol but my dad told me that he had managed to get us the M&G tickets. I literally cried for half an hour when I found out. I started the countdown and the big day was finally here. We left for the stadium at 3 o’clock and waited outside for 2 hours before they let us in. We were sent in a room where Ryan (the host) told us the rules. After a while I saw girls going out so even I went out and there I saw Dan, he was so sweet and I took a picture with him and talked to him. I even saw Kenny but he couldn’t take pictures because he was busy. Finally they put us in a line and the M&G started. The line was moving so fast because you get like only 2 seconds with Justin. It was my turn to go and I opened the curtain and I saw the angelic face of his. I couldn’t move because I was so shocked! I went to him and said, “Hi Justin what’s up?” He replied with, “Hi sweetie, how are you?” I was too shocked to say anything. I asked for a hug but we had to take the picture so he pulled me by waist and we took it. I asked him again for a hug but the security guard was pulling me so he gave me a light hug and a smile! I screamed “Bye Justin” and gave him a flying kiss he replied with, “Love you.” As soon as I got out I realized that I had just met my idol and I started bawling my eyes out. The concert was amazing and I had so much fun. Just a little piece of advice, when you meet Justin don’t wait for the picture to be taken and then start talking because as soon as they take the picture they take you out of the room so ask him questions before or while taking the picture and keep him interested. On June 25, 2012 I finally got to meet Justin after 3 years of trying. My friend (@xitsalicex) won studio passes from KIIS FM where we would get to watch Justin’s interview and get to meet him afterwards. I couldn’t even believe it, I started bawling when she told me the news. The day of the interview, I couldn’t process what was happening. We drove to the studio, which was an hour away, and waited in their lobby until they let us in. We were the first in the studio, so we got to sit right at the front, only about 3 feet away from where Justin would be. After a few minutes of waiting, Jojo (radio DJ) walks in and after that Justin walks in. I can’t even describe how perfect he was. His hair, his smile, his walk, his everything. Was he real? I started to get teary eyed. They both sat on the stools and began the interview. It was really nice because there were only a few of us in the room, so it was really intimate and private, and you could tell Justin was just being his goofy, loving, self. Through out the interview, Justin would casually look out in the audience and we made eye contact more than 20 times. This one time Jojo made a joke and I was the only one who laughed so Justin looked at me and gave me a smile. I nearly died. Not to mention the fact he randomly started singing during the interview. He sang “Climax” and I just about had a heart attack. He also sang parts of DIYA and Catching Feelings a capella, and I died 20x more. When we finally get to meet him, Alice and I got up and he reached his arms out to wrap around us, me on the left & Alice on the right. I gave him a smile and he winked at me, and I could barely move. Before the picture, I told him that I love him and he said, “I love you too!” Alice told him that he’s perfect and he said back in the most beautiful voice, “No, you’re perfect,” and I just about died. I made an awkward squealing sound and he laughed at me. After the picture, Alice gave him the note I wrote him and told him to “Stay Swaggie” and I gave him the thumbs up to which he laughed at, again. After that we walked out of the studio into the lobby and I started bawling the entire time until we got home. I still can’t believe I even got to see him, and hear him sing.
