Source: kali9 / Getty Storage Unit Auction Winner Discovers $7.5 Million Inside Safe Ain’t no way in HELL! Peep this story that we found in the USAToday about a lucky storage unit auction winner and the unimaginable amount of cash that was found inside a locked safe. “Storage Wars” star Dan Dotson told the story of a woman he met at a charity event who’s husband uncovered $7.5 million! So, you find $7.5 million in your new storage unit and the owner hits you and asks for it back. What do you do?
Does Dave Hester owe A&E a ton of money in legal fees after the network prevailed in an anti-SLAPP motion against the former Storage Wars star? Yuuuuuuuuuuup!!!! Hester, who’s suing Storage Wars ‘ production company Original Productions and A&E in a complaint that claims the show is staged, must pay $122,692. In a tentative ruling , Dave Hester was ordered to cough up $96,735 to A&E and $25,957 to Original (they asked for $138,194 and $43,283 initially). The reduction came after Hester objected to figures regarding the staffing and hours that A&E and Original claimed to have expended on the motion. Hester sued A&E and Original in December, claiming that he had been fired from the hit reality show for complaining that events have been rigged. Specifically, Hester alleges, producers plant valuable items in storage lockers, which competitors then bid on, supposedly without knowing what’s inside. The show has been besieged with real-life drama over the past year as every cast member seems to really want to get paid – via a raise or a lawsuit.
In news that could lead to a different kind of Storage Wars lawsuit than we reported on earlier this week … Lindsay Lohan is on the verge of having hers seized! Due to ongoing, worsening financial woes, Lohan, whose assets were already seized by the IRS , may see her physical possessions taken from her as well. We’re talking expensive designer clothes, family heirlooms and potentially embarrassing items, all because she hasn’t paid her storage bill of about $16,000. As a result, the unit is about to go up on the auction block . According to TMZ, she’s fallen behind on payments recently, putting the storage unit’s owner in a similar spot to anyone else who deals with Lohan. The account is now delinquent and the locker can’t be opened until the balance is paid in full … and that’s not going to happen because it’s Lindsay. Unless Lindsay pays up this month, that unit is theirs for the taking. If this saga isn’t reenacted for the (apparently fake) Storage Wars , we’ll be upset. She’s reached out to friends, but so far, no one’s loaned her the cash. Shock. Maybe her angel investor pal Charlie Sheen can come through again? Sadly, this is probably the least of her problems right now. After she was charged with lying to police after her June car crash, a judge revoked Lohan’s probation yesterday, scheduling a hearing for January 15. On that date, she could be sent to a different kind of storage unit for the next eight months … where at least she couldn’t accrue any new debts. Should LiLo do hard time for her various crimes? Yes, that train wreck brat will never learn otherwise! No, quit trying to make an example out of her, haters! View Poll » [Photo: WENN.com]
R&B superstar Trey Songz is counter-suing Storage Wars star David Hester over the trademarking of the phrase “Yup!” As we previously reported, the ridiculous situation…
It’s really funny what people will try to claim ownership of. According to Allhiphop.com, Trey Songz sent a cease and desist letter to “Storage Wars” star David Hester for using the phrase “Yuup” during the auction portion of the program. Hester countered with a lawsuit filed in the Southern District Court of NY, so that he could continue using the phrase ( read the full documents here ). Does this lawsuit have merit or is it a waste of time? It seems Trey really wasted his time filing this cease and desist. Does his fan base even watch “Storage Wars? Let us know what you think!
