BOSSIP Exclusive: Scott Storch’s Girlfriend Says Shady Music Execs Threatened To Have Them Killed

Florence Mirsky Said She And Storch Are In Fear For Their Lives The girlfriend of hip-hop producer Scott Storch said the heads of her man’s former record label threatened to enlist a “mafia hit man” to rub them out. “The Cohens threatened to have a ‘mafia hit man’ kill Scott Storch and/or myself,” Florence Mirsky said in court papers obtained by BOSSIP. “Therefore, we flew to Los Angeles to be with our family, where we felt we were safe.” Mirsky said Storch’s former business partners, Brad and Seth Cohen, began threatening them after Storch balked at signing a contract with the Cohens because Storch believed it was a bad deal. She said the label execs first blackmailed Storch, warning him that if he didn’t sign, they’d have him evicted that day and seize his Rolls Royce. “ Scott Storch told me the plaintiffs Seth Cohen and Brad Cohen threatened to have him evicted from his home that evening and threatened to take away his car, leaving him stranded and in the street if he did not immediately sign the November 2015 operating agreement,” Mirsky said in a deposition as part of the Cohen brothers’ fraud and breach of contract case against her and Storch. “He stated to me that he had no opportunity to show it to an attorney and the Cohens threatened him physically if he didn’t not sign it the moment it was presented to him.”

BOSSIP Exclusive: Scott Storch Back On Drugs, Ex-Biz Partners Allege In $4 Million Suit

Storch’s Drug Abuse Claims Part Of $4 Million Lawsuit For Breach Of Contract And Fraud Scott Storch has allegedly botched his comeback by falling off the wagon and weaseling out of a deal that was supposed to mark his return. That’s according to Storch’s former business partners Brad and Seth Cohen, who made the claims in a fraud and breach of contract lawsuit that accuses the prolific producer of backing out of an agreement to make hits exclusively for their company, CCS Music Group. The suit, filed New Year’s Eve 2015 in U.S. District Court in Fort Lauderdale, explained that Storch got hooked on his drug of choice – cocaine – back in 2006, and his three-year addiction helped fuel a $30 million spending spree, and resulted in an arrest for coke possession in 2012. Last June, Storch filed for bankruptcy, listing assets of $3,600 and debts of $4.4 million. The Cohen brothers said they agreed to help Storch make a comeback by forming a company, CCS Music Group, where Storch would produce music and the Cohens would own and sell it. They inked the deal last June, and Storch agreed to transfer his music publishing rights and let the company use his name and likeness to promote the music. The brothers said they sunk more than $1 million into the company and paid Storch’s rent and a weekly salary. The Cohens also leased a Rolls Royce Ghost for Storch and the men agreed that the car would be taken away if Storch failed a drug test. Last month, the Cohens discovered that Storch had fallen off the wagon and was again using drugs, the suit alleged. When the men demanded the Rolls Royce back, Storch told them he wasn’t going to work with them anymore, and instead began making music for Florence Mirsky – who is also named as a defendant in the suit. Storch’s lawyer later fired off a letter to CCS Music, banning the company from accessing the music Storch made or even communicating with him.

Big Boi Says Scott Storch Collabo Happened ‘By Chance’

‘I was just like, ‘Boy, give it to me,’ ‘ Big recalls of hearing producer’s funky ‘Shutterbugg’ for the first time. By Jayson Rodriguez Big Boi Photo: MTV News Big Boi’s “Shutterbugg” not only proved to be the breakout single the Atlanta MC needed to get his long-delayed Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty a release date, but the slinky number also gives Scott Storch his first legitimate hit in nearly four years. The Grammy-winning producer once provided artists with chart-toppers on a regular basis, but a string of troubles sidelined him in recent years. The Outkast rapper, however, told MTV News he wasn’t aware of Storch’s personal problems. A friend, Big Boi said, simply relayed a message from the producer saying he had a record for him. “I was finishing the song ‘Sumethin’s Gotta Give,’ with Mary J. Blige. We was at Lenny Kravitz’s studio, and my homeboy, who manages Yelawolf right now, was like, ‘Scott Storch is looking for you. He said he got a beat he been sitting on for two years that got your name written all over it,’ ” Big Boi recalled. “We finished the song with Mary, [Storch] came and picked us up — drop-top Phantom — drove us to his house, went in his house, went in his studio. “This man played a song at the loudest volume I heard a song played in my life,” Big laughed. “The first song he played was “Shutterbugg.” Man, it came on, I was just like, ‘Boy, give it to me.’ Took the beat, went to Atlanta, brought my band in, keyboard and guitar players, we laid a couple layers of funk on top of it. [Producer] Bosko came in and put the ‘talkbox’ on it, made it all the way funky.” Critics have singled out the track as a favorite and showered praise on the veteran lyricist’s proper solo debut. And the “Shutterbugg” video is as colorful as the track, with an array of images bursting through the clip. And although Big Boi tapping Storch for “Shutterbugg” has helped the Miami producer continue his comeback, for the rapper, it was just a matter of good timing. “Certain things happen by chance,” Big said. “I didn’t plan on working with Scott Storch, but it happened and he was jamming.” Do you think Big Boi and Scott Storch should work on more material together? Talk about it in the comments. Related Videos MTV News Extended Play: Big Boi Related Artists Big Boi
