Go here to read the rest:

C hicago-bred rapper Common is adding real estate developer to his repertoire. According to the Chicago Tribune , the music artist—whose real name is Lonnie Rashid Lynn —is investing in the transformation of an underdeveloped property located in the city’s South Side area. Chicago rapper Common and a group of real estate developers want to convert the former U.S. Steel plant on the city’s south lakefront into a movie production campus. https://t.co/44yxW8ug3L — Chicago Tribune (@chicagotribune) July 28, 2019 Lynn is reportedly working with a group of real estate developers to transform a vacant piece of land which used to be a U.S. Steel plant into a large mixed-use development. He wants to convert the 415-acre site into a hub that will include homes, stores, entertainment and sports facilities, and a movie production campus. He hopes that the development of these new establishments will revive the surrounding community and provide job opportunities for people in the neighborhood. The cost to purchase the site will be nearly $71 million. The developers are working on bringing investors on board and the plans for the site would have to be approved by the city. Lynn has been dedicated to bettering his hometown and bringing authentic narratives about the city to the forefront through his artistry. “I felt a responsibility to be a voice for the people of Chicago, to represent their humanity,” he said in an interview with the Los Angeles Times . “We are human beings and that’s something many people don’t get to experience or witness because they hear about Chicago through its violence. We have a duty to make sure we tell the stories of these human beings.” The rapper isn’t the only one who is investing in their hometown. Earlier this year it was announced that Queen Latifah is creating an affordable housing complex in Newark to level the playing field when it comes to housing equity. The project—which is reportedly going to cost $14 million—will include a community of multi-family townhouses, a fitness center and commercial space that will be used by nonprofit organizations. Scott Disick Fears Prison (?!?) in New KUWTK Trailer

You can say many things about the Kardashians, along with nearly everyone in close proximity to this family. Really. You can. Go right ahead and do so right now. But there's one thing that can't really ever be uttered about this group of polarizing reality stars: They've never been in trouble with the law. With sex tapes? With infidelity? With the exploiting of their young fan base for millions of dollars? Yes, yes and yes. But Kim Kardashian and company has at least remained on the right side of the police… until now, perhaps. In a new promo for Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 17, which premieres some time this fall, Scott Disick speaks up and out at one point and says the following: “There’s a chance I would’ve had to go to prison.” Wait, what?!? For what possible reason? We have no idea and the preview does not say — and this is likely much ado about nothing at all. But it has still drawn out attention. Elsewhere in this footage, we see how tensions between Tristan Thompson and the Kardashians-Jenners are still lingering after he cheated on Khloé Kardashian with Jordyn Woods, Kylie Jenner‘s longtime best friend forever. In one revealing scene, Kim is angry after Thompson evidently ignored Khloe at their daughter True‘s first birthday party in April. “He doesn’t even speak to Khloe,” she fumes. “Khloe invited you. Be f—ing cordial.” “This whole thing sucks,” Khloe says, full a face full of tears. Again, say what you want about Khloe, but you must also feel pretty awful for her, considering this entire ordeal. E! has yet to announce a premiere date for Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 17. But you can get a close look at what's on tap here.

Seems like the singer is in a much better place, although she does admit it’s still difficult. Previously, she has admitted to friend Toya Wright that she had been staying in a hotel to gather her thoughts when news of her divorce first broke. “We were married almost nine years, and I think life changes really got the best of both of us at times. I take accountability for what my part is. I am a very outspoken woman. Tt is what it is. Divorce has not been easy. Everywhere I go, it’s the first thing that comes up. One thing about me is, I’m gonna respect him to the death, ’cause he didn’t do anything, per se. I don’t hate him.” Hear Monica addressing her divorce at the 9:36 mark.

Netflix Creates A “Co-Watching” Contract That Both People In A Relationship Must Sign Before Binge-Watching

Source: Chesnot / Getty Netflix Has Created “Co-Watching” Contracts For Couples If you’ve ever felt betrayed by your significant other after learning they watched an episode of y’all’s favorite show without you, Netflix might just have the solution for you. The streaming platform  has decided to lay out some rules for binge-watching so that couples can reach an agreement before settling on something to watch. The new  “co-watching” contract is a document that both partners in a relationship must sign, with Netflix listed as a witness for the whole thing. The doc is to be used as an agreement to follow five rules before binge-watching a show together. Those rules of engagement are as follows: I won’t fall asleep I won’t get distracted by my phone causing the other person to rewind because I missed something; I won’t continue watching a show without the other person present; I won’t talk whilst the show is on; In the event that I come across a spoiler, I won’t share it with the other person. This whole thing could definitely be a good idea for a lot us out there who have been left behind by spouses who watched an extra episode after their partner fell asleep early–but some of the rules don’t seem so practical. In the event of some serious binge-watching, it seems unlikely that nobody is going to pick up their phones–and it seems even more unlikely that someone will keep a spoiler to themselves. But it’s a nice sentiment, nonetheless. Could you see your partner signing this co-watching contract?
