His homegoing ceremony was held in Los Angeles Tuesday and many of his close friends and previous co-stars were on hand to say their goodbyes . According to TMZ reports , the open-casket celebration of life for the late comedian included a huge gathering of friends, family and celebs, including David Letterman who commenced the celebration. Letterman and Witherspoon have serious history, having both honed their careers at The Comedy Store in Hollywood alongside Richard Pryor, Robin Williams and Jay Leno. Chris Tucker and Ice Cube, who both posted loving tributes on their social media earlier this week, were also on hand at the event. Nick Cannon has more serious beefs than shading Kylie Jenner and Danielle Bregoli. Nick is nursing an 11-year-old grudge. He’s been feuding with Eminem since 2008, when the infamous rapper took cheap shots at Nick’s then-wife, Mariah Carey. More than a decade later, Nick is making it clear that he still feels that Eminem needs to be held accountable for what he said. Speaking on T.I.’s podcast ExpediTIously , Nick Cannon opens up about his longstanding resentment towards Eminem. He clearly doesn’t like that the rapper never met up with him to settle things. “He didn’t wanna battle me,” Nick observes. He says that: “it could have went down.” “I was like, whatever he wanna do, I’m with it,” Nick shares. The feud began in 2008, shortly after Nick and Mariah had first married. “I think we were flying back on a jet from Africa or somewhere,” Nick recalls. “And this motherf–ker drops a song, like, talking s–t,” he complains. Within that song, Nick accuses, Eminem was “Calling her [Mariah] all kinds of b–ches and hoes.” Well, that’s enough to upset anyone, but especially her husband. Nick recalls his furious response: “I’m like, ‘this is my wife. This is my new wife.'” “I wrote a letter first,” he reveals. A letter ? We suppose that the telegram lines were down. “I don’t even know if Twitter had come out yet,” Nixk admits. Twitter came out in 2008, but existing and being popular are not the same thing. “So, I wrote this long-ass letter,” Nick relates. Within the letter, the content was “pretty much saying, ‘look, I respect you as an artist.'” That’s a great way to get off on the right foot. “‘I’m actually a fan,” Nick admitted within the message. “And,” he told Eminem at the time. “I think you’re one of the best ever to do it.” “But from man to man,” Nick wrote. “You are talking out of pocket to my wife.” “You gotta be held accountable for that,” Nick expresses. Goodness. If this were ye olden times, Nick would have had to strike Eminem across the face with a fancy glove to challenge him to a duel. “So,” Nick recalls telling him. “I need to see you face-to-face.'” He even says that he “went looking for” Eminem. Again, this is some straight-up feudal era knights-of-honor nonsense. Nick even says that he would have flown to Detroit for this confrontation. “I was like, look, if you wanna get on the phone, if I gotta go to Detroit,” Nick recalls. This guy was big mad . “You done disrespected my wife,” he explains. Nick explains his extreme fixation: “I gotta show my wife I’m a man, number one.” Toxic masculinity ruins the party once again, we see. “And two, he said my name,” Nick notes. Which summons him instantly. Like Beetlejuice. Nick concludes: “I said, ‘I know I’m not going to be able to out rap you, but I will whoop your ass.'” Well, we’ll say this much for Nick Cannon: He has a very grounded and realistic estimation of his abilities. Can we get some follow-up episodes to Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette? Because the drama with this cast is never-ending, and frankly, it’s a hell of a lot more interesting than anything else that’s coming down the TV pike this fall. One of the most interesting post-season storylines has involved the unexpected romance between Tyler Cameron and Gigi Hadid . After being rejected by Hannah in favor of Jed Wyatt (biggest f–k up in Bachelorette history?) Tyler began dating Gigi , and the two of them seemed to be getting serious. But after just two months of dating, sources have confirmed to E! News that Cameron and Hadid have called it quits. Neither party has spoken about the split publicly, but Tyler hinted at a split during a recent interview. “That’s my friend,” Tyler told E! when asked about Gigi. “We hung out a few times. She’s doing her thing now in Paris and killin’ it so…” Needless to say, Tyler is downplaying the situation considerably when he says that he and Gigi “hung out a few times.” Cameron and Hadid vacationed together and were spotted on numerous dates in the NYC area during their time together. Just last week, Tyler attended the funeral of Gigi’s grandmother . It’s unclear how serious these two were, but this was definitely more than just a fling. In fact, Tyler says he was offered a chance to be the next Bachelor , and it’s widely believed that he passed up the opportunity because of his relationship with Gigi. Instead, the gig went to Peter Weber, who’s basically the only one of Hannah’s frontrunners who didn’t go on to date a celebrity. Currently, it looks likew the relationship between Mike Johnson and Demi Lovato is heating up, and Johnson gushed about his A-list boo in a recent interview. “We’ve gone on more than one date. I was on the other side of it as a contestant, which is a much easier role than being the lead of the show.” Perhaps in an effort to soften the blow for Hannah Brown — who asked Tyler on a date after colossally effing up by dumping him in favor of Jed Wyatt — Chris Harrison claims Tyler made the decision not so that he could settle down with Gigi, but so that he caould continue to play the field “If Tyler is bouncing around from girl to girl and loving the life and enjoying the limelight, which, by the way, good on him,” Harrison told ET. “That’s fine. If that’s what you want to do right now, I don’t blame him,” the host continued. “He’s probably enjoying life really, really well — but that’s not someone we’re going to want to have as our Bachelor or Bachelorette,” added Harrison. “So, it’s about sincerity. It’s about where you are in your life. She was heartbroken by her beloved grandmother’s passing. Along with Bella, Anwar, and their mother, she attended the funeral in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. It was a somber event, but it’s good to be surrounded by family and other loved ones as you grieve. Yolanda brought her plus one, Joseph Jingoli. Anwar was also accompanied by his girlfriend, singer Dua Lipa. Though they have only been dating for a matter of weeks, Gigi brought along hunky boyfriend Tyler Cameron. The The Bachelorette alum looked dashing in his black suit as he came to pay his respects to a woman who meant so much to Gigi. He remained by Gigi’s side throughout, giving her emotional support as she said her goodbyes by her grandmother’s casket. Gigi shared the news of her grandmother’s passing on Instagram. “OUR QUEEN ANGEL fought cancer six times in her life with courage, strength, and grace,” Gigi affirmed. She noted that her Oma did so “while being the greatest mother and grandmother.” “She is an honorable guide we will carry with us forever,” Gigi praised. Not everyone is lucky enough to have a close relationship with a grandparent. Those of us lucky enough to have it treasure those memories, always. “We love you more than words,” Gigi’s beautiful Instagram tribute continued. She praised her grandmother as “our beautiful wonderful Oma.” “OMA FOREVER,” Gigi wrote on another post. It’s important to remember that someone’s passing doesn’t mean that you cannot cherish their memory for all time. In another post, Gigi simply wrote: “Rest in Paradise.” Attending a funeral is a big deal. is there a chance that Tyler and Gigi are already way more serious than people realize. People can be divided about funeral invitations and plus ones. Some of us would never in our lives invite someone to attend a funeral with us unless they were a spouse or at least engaged. Most people consider funerals for close friends and for family, not for someone you happen to be dating. However, this doesn’t mean that Gigi and Tyler are rushing into things. Gigi may have asked Tyler along — or he may have volunteered — purely for emotional support. Funerals are complicated. During the viewing beforehand, people sometimes laugh and tell jokes. That happens almost any time save the burial itself. Funerals are for the living, and the living sometimes need a comforting presence who is just there for their sake. Good for Tyler for being there for Gigi when she needed him most. Maybe it’s for the best that Tyler will not be the next Bachelor . Yes, even if it makes Bachelor Nation folks sad. Source: Johnny Nunez / Getty Woman Used Obituaries To Rob People That Were Attending Funerals According to the New York Post , a Bronx woman is being accused of preying on the grieving families by allegedly looking up the obituaries of their loved ones online and then burglarizing the homes of the family members while they were attending the funeral services. Latonia Shelecia Stewart, 26, was slapped with multiple charges connected to six different break-ins that were reported between fall 2017 and spring 2018. Prosecutors claim she targeted people who were attending their spouse’s wake or funeral services. She would allegedly look up the obituaries of the person who died and then track down where their loved ones lived and assumed they wouldn’t be home during the funeral and steal jewelry and other personal items from the residences. Stewart was attempting to break into the home of a dead person on May 1, 2018, when cops caught her in the act. She allegedly had their obituary on her cellphone and her baby in the back seat. She is facing 22 counts of burglary, grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, petit larceny, criminal mischief, possession of burglar’s tools and three motor vehicle violations.
