Here is the original post:

A funeral is set for 11 a.m. Thursday for U.S. District Judge Matthew J. Perry, a giant of a civil rights lawyer who toiled relentlessly to dismantle legal segregation in South Carolina and then went on to become the state’s first black federal judge. Perry died of natural causes Friday just days before his 90th birthday. His body was discovered at his home on Sunday by a family friend. At his death, he was serving as a senior U.S. District Court judge, working every weekday in the downtown Columbia courthouse that was dedicated in April 2004 and bears his name. Oprah Wants You To Attend Her Class & “OWN Your Life” The funeral, which will be held at Brookland Baptist Church in West Columbia, is expected to draw hundreds of mourners, including federal judges from across the country, lawyers and judges in South Carolina, current and former law clerks and his many clients, who were involved in sit-ins and demonstrations that marked the 1950s and 1960s civil rights era. Gov. Nikki Haley has ordered flags at the State House to be lowered to half-staff on the day of his funeral, her spokesman Rob Godfrey said. The Rev. Charles Jackson Sr., Brookland’s pastor, will deliver the eulogy, said I.S. Leevy Johnson, owner of Leevy’s Funeral Home, which is handling the arrangements. Burial will follow in Greenlawn cemetery at the family plot. “All of his law clerks will serve as active pallbearers and members of the state and federal judiciary will be honorary pallbearers,” said Johnson. The funeral home is working with the U.S. Marshal’s Service to ensure security at the church, which seats 3,500. Perry’s home church, Zion Baptist, could not seat the anticipated crowd. Amy Winehouse Honored By Vibe, Janelle Monae

MTV News obtains exclusive excerpt from magazine’s August/September ‘Juice’ issue. By Rob Markman Photo: MTV News Amy Winehouse’s death stunned her family and friends, fans and musical comrades. While her loved ones stopped to mourn her passing, Vibe magazine stopped the presses. With an already-scheduled Kelly Rowland cover on its way to the printer, editor in chief Jermaine Hall paid homage to Winehouse with a second cover for the mag’s annual August/September “Juice” issue. Hall said he wanted to capture Winehouse’s beauty on the cover, and he and his team considered 40 different photos before finally deciding on a classic black-and-white portrait shot by Mischa Richter in 2008. “We had literally 36 hours to pull it off. It was a stop-the-presses situation, obviously,” Hall said. “It was a hustle, but I thought it was necessary.” As part of the magazine’s editorial direction, Vibe reached out to Winehouse’s producer and friend Salaam Remi and singer Janelle Mon

Amy Winehouse ‘Had A Huge Heart,’ Producer Salaam Remi Says

Remi opens up about working with Winehouse on third album, which is not complete. By James Montgomery, with reporting by Kim Kane Amy Winehouse Photo: Roger Kisby/ Getty Images Salaam Remi was already an established producer before he met a then-unknown singer named Amy Winehouse, having already created hits for the likes of Nas, the Fugees and Ini Kamoze (to name just a few). But from the minute he was introduced to Winehouse in 2002, his life — and career — were forever changed. Because not only did he produce the lion’s share of her recorded work (her 2003 debut Frank and the follow up, 2006′s iconic Back to Black ) but he became a close friend with the mercurial Winehouse too, a confidant who knew her better than most. So when Winehouse died on Saturday in her London home, it was somewhat fitting that Remi was nearby: in town to attend the wedding of the singer’s former manager. In fact, he had planned on stopping by Winehouse’s apartment that day to catch up and discuss the ongoing sessions for her Back to Black follow-up , which the two had been working on. MTV celebrates Amy Winehouse’s music with a special show tonight. Days after Winehouse’s death Remi spoke via telephone with New York’s Power 105.1 DJ Kim Kane about the loss of his dear friend and the status of her new album. Kane was kind enough to share their conversation with MTV News. “We were working on it; it’s not a complete album,” Remi said, debunking reports that her third LP was finished and slated for release. “We had a lot of things going, there are recordings, but first things first, I think. We’re trying to focus on what’s at hand and what her family wants to do. So those reports [that there is finished material] are false.” Read more about Amy Winehouse’s influence on music beyond “Rehab.” Remi also told Kane that despite near-constant speculation about Winehouse’s health, he believed that she was well enough to complete her new album and was actually using the ongoing recording sessions as a sort of therapy, channeling her emotions and frustrations into her songs. “To put it all in a nutshell, Amy loved to sing, to write … that ability never left her,” he said. “She was very good at channeling her emotions into lyrics, and then being able to sing them. She was in a place to go forward and make it happen. … The way that Amy and I always created was, she would write and we would toss ideas around.” And though details surrounding Winehouse’s death remain murky, Remi said that he’s trying very hard to block out the near-constant media coverage of her passing and focus instead on the private moments the two shared in the studio. Those moments revealed the artist few ever knew: opinionated, funny and, above all else, caring. “Amy had strong opinions on everything. …. She was very opinionated about what she liked. At the end, she was a real person,” he said. “She had a huge heart. We’d be working for hours and she would have everybody in the room snickering. She always had a joke. You could hear a lot of that in her lyrics, she could be sarcastic and she was extremely witty … but more than anything else she was a real person, an individual artist.” Celebrate Amy Winehouse

Britney Spears Having ‘A Blast’ On Femme Fatale Tour

‘The crowds have been so good each night and that gives you the adrenaline you need,’ Brit tells MTV News. By Christina Garibaldi Britney Spears Britney Spears is currently in the midst of her Femme Fatale Tour . And now that the pop princess has shaken off all those pre-tour nerves, she’s been giving fans a dance-heavy spectacle that some have called her “flashiest” yet. When MTV News recently caught up with Spears, she opened up about life on the road. “Good, really good,” Spears said of how things are going on her seventh concert tour. “It’s like every other day we have another show, so we are really busy. It’s a lot of fun. I like being busy.” Spears — who is nominated for Best Pop Video and Best Choreography at the 2011 Video Music Awards — gave credit to her fans for making each show so memorable. “The shows have been equally amazing,” Spears said. “The crowds have been so good each night and that gives you the adrenaline you need to get through the show. It just pumps you up. Every night is a blast.” And before Brit hits the stage each night, she and her dancers always get together for a pre-show ritual. “We always say a prayer before the show; sometimes a really long prayer, sometimes a short prayer. We just do it; we grab each other’s hands and go do it.” On Monday, the Femme Fatale Tour added another opening act: “Jersey Shore” star DJ Pauly D confirmed he’ll be hitting the road to open for Spears on six of her August dates. “Yes, that’s interesting!” Spears gushed about Pauly D joining opening acts Nicki Minaj , Jessie and the Toy Boys, and Nervo. So will Spears tune into the upcoming season of “Jersey Shore”? “It’s a guilty pleasure,” she admitted. “I’ve seen two or three episodes; it’s cool.” Will you catch Britney on tour this summer? Amy Winehouse Reveals Dream Rap Collabos In Rare MTV Interview

Back in 2007, Winehouse hoped to work with Nas, Mos Def and more. By James Montgomery Mos Def and Amy Winehouse Photo: MTV News From the moment she burst onto the international scene with “Rehab,” Amy Winehouse — the British belter who died Saturday in her London apartment — was embraced by the hip-hop community, and she embraced it right back. It wasn’t enough for her to get Jay-Z or Ghostface Killah to appear on remixes of her hits (which she did); she wanted to work with them, record proper tracks with them. This was nothing new, of course: Even before she broke big with her Back to Black album, Winehouse was bringing hip-hop into the fold. She recorded her debut disc, Frank, with producer Salaam Remi (who had worked extensively with Nas and on the Fugees’ epochal The Score ). And her early single “In My Bed” sampled the iconic “Apache” beat from Nas’ Remi-produced “Made You Look.” But, finally riding high on the success of Black, Winehouse hoped to use some of her newfound clout to finally realize some of her hip-hop dreams, as she told MTV News in a May 2007 interview. MTV celebrates Amy Winehouse’s music with a special show this Wednesday. “There’s so many people I’d love to work with: Nas, Mos Def . I’d love to work with Busta Rhymes, I’d love to work with Rah Digga … I love them,” she said. “I learned a lot of stuff about how to write songs from people like that. I just really like them, and if they like my stuff, cool. … If they want to do a track, I’d love to.” Of course, she’d go on to actually make some of those projects happen, in one form or another. She recorded a version of “Love is a Losing Game” with Mos Def during a 2007 performance on MTV — a performance that will re-air on the channel Wednesday (July 27) at 6:30 p.m. ET/PT, as part of a tribute special to Winehouse ‘s musical legacy. She also made headlines when she stepped out with Nas (about whom she sang on the Black track “Me & Mr. Jones”) in London last year. Winehouse was reportedly set to collaborate with Digga on the female rapper’s Sucker Free project, though it’s unclear whatever became of the team-up. And in 2008, Busta famously joked that Winehouse wouldn’t return his phone calls. Celebrate Amy Winehouse on Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. ET/PT, when MTV will air an encore presentation of a performance she taped in the MTV studios in 2007. Ivanka Trump Pregnancy Fetish Pics of the Day

I don’t know about you, but ready to drop porn has always been disgusting to me. The whole idea of pregnancy was never beautiful, except for a drunken one night stand when you know you’re not that dad and can’t ever be the dad thanks to the fetus already in a bitch…I had the way their belly buttons stick out, and I hate the way their nipples get big and weird, and most importantly I hate how shit rapes a body…the only thing hot about ready to drop porn is how tight the asshole gets when the baby is crowning, but usually the bitch is too far gone at that point to let you inside her…. So here’s Ivanka Trump, too far gone as far as I’m concerned to ever bounce back, unless that bouncing takes place on her new fat ass and ravaged pussy lips… She’s the socialite gone to waste…she coulda been Paris Hilton, but instead she went respectable…Sucks.

Maybe I’m just wishful thinking, maybe I just hate fat chicks who look like retired strippers at the trailer park, I guess I could just move onto the many many other not tainted vagina out there to post pictures of…an that’s just what I am going to do…
