Can we get some follow-up episodes to Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette? One of the most interesting post-season storylines has involved the unexpected romance between Tyler Cameron and Gigi Hadid . After being rejected by Hannah in favor of Jed Wyatt (biggest f–k up in Bachelorette history?) Tyler began dating Gigi , and the two of them seemed to be getting serious. But after just two months of dating, sources have confirmed to E! News that Cameron and Hadid have called it quits. Neither party has spoken about the split publicly, but Tyler hinted at a split during a recent interview. “That’s my friend,” Tyler told E! when asked about Gigi. “We hung out a few times. She’s doing her thing now in Paris and killin’ it so…” Needless to say, Tyler is downplaying the situation considerably when he says that he and Gigi “hung out a few times.” Cameron and Hadid vacationed together and were spotted on numerous dates in the NYC area during their time together. Just last week, Tyler attended the funeral of Gigi’s grandmother . It’s unclear how serious these two were, but this was definitely more than just a fling. In fact, Tyler says he was offered a chance to be the next Bachelor , and it’s widely believed that he passed up the opportunity because of his relationship with Gigi. Instead, the gig went to Peter Weber, who’s basically the only one of Hannah’s frontrunners who didn’t go on to date a celebrity. Currently, it looks likew the relationship between Mike Johnson and Demi Lovato is heating up, and Johnson gushed about his A-list boo in a recent interview. “We’ve gone on more than one date. I like her tattoos. We both have a lot of tattoos and she kisses really well,” Mike said. “I’m getting to know her for her.” Hannah may not have been lucky in love herself. Maybe you want to tell me something.” “I mean yes, I did have some complaints about you,” Liam reluctantly admits. “And” he reveals. “I did make some comparisons to men in the past.” Liam stresses that this is not a personal beef that he has with Aladin — that Aladin didn't say or do something wrong, exactly. “It’s not that you offended me,” he promises his mother's new husband. “it’s the way I’ve always been with my mother’s past relationships,” LIam explains. “And you’re not any different.” “So,” he concludes. “I’m just going to leave it at that.” All kinds of awkward, folks. This conversation has really left a lot of fans divided. Some see Liam as an awkward, confrontational guy who's unwilling to let his mother live her life. I was on the other side of it as a contestant, which is a much easier role than being the lead of the show.” Perhaps in an effort to soften the blow for Hannah Brown — who asked Tyler on a date after colossally effing up by dumping him in favor of Jed Wyatt — Chris Harrison claims Tyler made the decision not so that he could settle down with Gigi, but so that he caould continue to play the field “If Tyler is bouncing around from girl to girl and loving the life and enjoying the limelight, which, by the way, good on him,” Harrison told ET. “That’s fine. If that’s what you want to do right now, I don’t blame him,” the host continued. “He’s probably enjoying life really, really well — but that’s not someone we’re going to want to have as our Bachelor or Bachelorette,” added Harrison. “So, it’s about sincerity. At the Orange Is The New Black season finale, many of the women were wearing designs by Siriano. While we praise diversity in fashion , we still have a long way to go. It shouldn’t be a headline that a designer is dressing a curvy or tall Black woman. However, his efforts, have helped to push diversity in the industry and call out designers who are still designing for the same, monolithic customer. Nevertheless, even allies can make mistakes. According to WWD , Sirano showed hairstylists a photo of Gigi Hadid in a braided style and dubbed the look the “Gigi Braid.” And while yes, Hadid may have worn this exact hairstyle, when I think of braids, I do not think of white women. There is nothing wrong with Gigi Hadid wearing a braided hairstyle; however, there is a huge problem in the industry (and media) with Blackness only being desired or adored when placed on white bodies. Braids have a long history going back to Africa. Specific braided styles represented class and even occasions while some braided styles were actually maps to freedom during the slave trade . An erasure of history. Erasure is a form of racism that has been embedded in American culture when it comes to Black people. To not even acknowledge the history of something is to say it doesn’t exist. He could have still called it the ‘Gigi Braid’; however, it should have had some historical context. With a platform as large as his, simply adding that braids are historically from Black culture and natural hairstyles have seen a resurgence on the runway and red carpet, would have educated a mass of people who probably aren’t looking for this information on their own. We’ve already been through this with Bo Derek and her braids. “Bo Derek Braids” are not a thing. Bo Derek is a woman who wore braids, but she did not start or create the braided style. The ‘Bo Derek Braids’ nomenclature occurred after the 1979 movie ‘ 10 ‘. If it seems like one is nit picking, fast forward to almost 40 years later to Kim Kardashian (who whether we like it or not, influences culture), called her braids ‘Bo Derek Braids.’ Mis-education is also a form of erasure. With the CFDA placing diversity as a major importance, it’s imperative to know that it goes beyond throwing more Black models on the runway . Fashion is fantasy so inspiration will be taken from a multitude of places; it’s important to correctly site where said inspiration is derived. It’s been barely over a month since Tyler Cameron was spotted on a date with Gigi Hadid , but reports claim that they’re already falling in love . Tyler just jetted across the Atlantic to the Netherlands to accompany Gigi to her grandmother’s funeral. Yolanda Foster’s mother, Ans van den Herik, passed away last month following a very lengthy battle with cancer. That of course makes her Gigi Hadid’s beloved grandmother. Gigi referred to her as Oma. She was heartbroken by her beloved grandmother’s passing. Along with Bella, Anwar, and their mother, she attended the funeral in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. It was a somber event, but it’s good to be surrounded by family and other loved ones as you grieve. Yolanda brought her plus one, Joseph Jingoli. Anwar was also accompanied by his girlfriend, singer Dua Lipa. Though they have only been dating for a matter of weeks, Gigi brought along hunky boyfriend Tyler Cameron. The The Bachelorette alum looked dashing in his black suit as he came to pay his respects to a woman who meant so much to Gigi. He remained by Gigi’s side throughout, giving her emotional support as she said her goodbyes by her grandmother’s casket. Gigi shared the news of her grandmother’s passing on Instagram. “OUR QUEEN ANGEL fought cancer six times in her life with courage, strength, and grace,” Gigi affirmed. She noted that her Oma did so “while being the greatest mother and grandmother.” “She is an honorable guide we will carry with us forever,” Gigi praised. Not everyone is lucky enough to have a close relationship with a grandparent. Those of us lucky enough to have it treasure those memories, always. “We love you more than words,” Gigi’s beautiful Instagram tribute continued. She praised her grandmother as “our beautiful wonderful Oma.” “OMA FOREVER,” Gigi wrote on another post. It’s important to remember that someone’s passing doesn’t mean that you cannot cherish their memory for all time. In another post, Gigi simply wrote: “Rest in Paradise.” Attending a funeral is a big deal. is there a chance that Tyler and Gigi are already way more serious than people realize. People can be divided about funeral invitations and plus ones. Some of us would never in our lives invite someone to attend a funeral with us unless they were a spouse or at least engaged. Most people consider funerals for close friends and for family, not for someone you happen to be dating. However, this doesn’t mean that Gigi and Tyler are rushing into things. Gigi may have asked Tyler along — or he may have volunteered — purely for emotional support. Funerals are complicated. During the viewing beforehand, people sometimes laugh and tell jokes. That happens almost any time save the burial itself. Funerals are for the living, and the living sometimes need a comforting presence who is just there for their sake. Earlier this month, Cameron and Hadid were spotted holding hands at a bowling alley — and now they’ve graduated to holding coffee cups at a Stabucks in the vacation town of Lake George. Already taking vacations together?!” reads the caption on the aforementioned account, which accompanies this revealing photograph: Take note of Tyler’s messy hair and the fact that this burgeoning couple is drinking coffee. And those who laid eyes on the couple say they made little attempt to conceal their obvious affection for one another. “Gigi looked good,” said one witness . “She was casual and seemed very chill. It seems like they are definitely spending more time together and growing close.” The report comes one week after Bachelor Nation first learned of the romance. “Gigi is definitely interested in Tyler,” a source shared with E! News at that time. “They met for drinks and they got along really well. It was very casual but they were laughing and had a very engaged conversation.
