The supermodel, talk show host, mom and actress talks about her career and delves into dealing with an abusive boyfriend. “I remember being kind of judgmental for women that were in bad relationships. I’m like ‘Come on, just get out!’ Like ‘What are you doing?’” She then reveals it wasn’t until she was in her own emotionally abusive relationship that she understood how difficult it is to leave. For those who are unaware, Crystal had just been released from prison for tax fraud and was still on probation when she cast a provisional ballot for the 2016 election. She was unaware of a Texas law that stated that she was not allowed to vote due to her criminal status. Thus, she was sentenced to more time in the bing. According to HuffPo , Crystal is seeking a new trial to be released and the ACLU and Texas Civil Rights Project have stepped in to help her. Mason’s lawyers told the Court of Appeals in November she deserves a new trial because the statute she was convicted under is vague, and that the ballot she cast ultimately did not count since it was a provisional ballot. They also argue that she received ineffective counsel from her trial attorney. Oral argument is set for the case on June 4 in Fort Worth. “The prosecution of Crystal Mason for the innocent mistake of casting a provision ballot that wasn’t even counted is a severe injustice,” Andre Segura, an attorney with the ACLU of Texas who will help represent Mason, said in a statement. “Ms. Mason simply attempted to follow the law and participate in what she believed to be her civic duty, and in return has been sentenced to an outrageous length of time in prison.” This country is full of s#!t.

On the latest episode of TV One’s hit show ‘Uncensored’, Naturi opened up about everything from the infamous KFC chicken wing fight with her group mates Kiely Williams and Adrienne Bailon to her unsuccessful attempt to reach out to Lil Kim after portraying her in ‘Notorious’. On the KFC fight, Naturi dished: “[In our suburban] Kiely and Adrienne were in the middle aisle and I was in the back by myself. I said ‘I’m not the one that’s trying to kick me out the group. Don’t be mad that the news is out ’cause it’s true!’ There were some names called, some profanity thrown. Kiely turned around and threw the plate of food in my face. I got out the car and I was like ‘I’m going home.’ I was not given the gift to sing to deal with this ish.They drove off with that driver and left me in the parking lot, in Atlanta, Georgia. “ On reaching out to Lil Kim: “I was at the production office in Brooklyn, NY. But again, I’m just an actress and I was just hired to do a part. I reached out via phone and tried that time in person.
