Rumors are running rampant on Twitter that a Justin Bieber fan may have punched his girlfriend, Selena Gomez, at his birthday dinner in Los Angeles on Tuesday night. Biebs was in a great mood when he and Gomez went into Maggiano’s restaurant, but when they left, he was looking considerably less happy – and she had a cut on her lower lip. Ouch! So did a fan hit Gomez? Update: Her reps tell Zap2it there is “absolutely no truth to the story.” Phew! After returning home from the dinner, Bieber took to his Twitter, where he thanked fans for contributing to his Charity Water birthday project. “I see all the tweets. #ILOVEMYFANS” he wrote. The following morning, a photo of Bieber in the car with Selena was released in which he was giving n overly aggressive a paparazzo the middle finger and Gomez was covering her face. The festival has announced even more additions to its lineup, including closing night film The King of Luck , a documentary about Willie Nelson from director Billy Bob Thornton. Also added to the ledger: A work-in-progress cut of Bridesmaids , the upcoming HBO special The Pee-wee Herman Show on Broadway , and short films from Harmony Korine and Park Chan-wook — the former of which will feature Die Antwoord. Expect to see your Twitter feed dominated by SXSW -related fun when the fest begins on March 11.

In case you’re not up on what’s going down … Teen heartthrob Justin Bieber recently broke millions of young girls’ hearts when he publicly confirmed his romance with pop star Selena Gomez by sneaking in some PDAs at the Vanity Fair Oscars party on Sunday. Justin’s hardcore fans aired their grievances over “Jelena” on Twitter and some even went so far to make threats on the Disney star (Gomez)’s life . Justin Beiber & Selena Gomez Monica says that it can be hard for male teen stars to get into relationships with women (famous or not famous) since they are often put “in a position where the fans feel that they are in a place of ownership” over the celeb. Justin’s fans are an important and involved part of his life and he actively pursues an engaged relationship with his Beliebers through Twitter and Facebook, so it is easy to see why many of his fans would feel like they “own” the young star. Monica also explains that Justin and Selena’s relationship may prove to problematic for some fans since she is older (18) and he is still viewed a “the young teen heartthrob.” As for how they should address the Twitter hate, Monica suggests that Justin make the first move. “He has to say something first,” Monica explains. “I would have him address it on Twitter but not in a deliberate [separate press] interview since it would give the haters a voice. Selena should lay low for awhile.” “He should say something like, ‘I just want the fans to know that I still love them and I’m still here’,” says Monica. However, Monica notes that Justin shouldn’t shy away from the fact that he is “acting like a normal teenager” and getting into a relationship with girl. That’s what teenagers do, after all! The “Two and a Half Men” star has been on an epic tear since production of the #1 sitcom on TV went dark following his tirades against its creators. And though he’s paid visits to the “Today” show, “20/20,” Howard Stern, Piers Morgan’s CNN talker and a half a dozen other outlets, Sheen apparently felt that the message about his tiger-blood-pumping veins and live-in goddesses wasn’t being heard loud enough, so he did what any self-respecting attention-seeking celeb does: He joined Twitter. But this is the highest paid actor on TV we’re talking about, so it stands to reason that within the first 24 hours he racked up hundreds of thousands of followers. How do you know it’s really Sheen? Other than the fact that the @charliesheen account is verified, you need only look at the bio to know that it’s Chuck himself. “Born Small… Now Huge… Winning… Bring it..! (unemployed winner…),” it reads, repeating the championship “winning!” soundbite that has become Sheen’s catchphrase . Sheen kicked off his Twitter life with that very phrase, writing on Tuesday, “Winning..! Choose your Vice,” which was accompanied by a photo of him with one of his “goddesses” — ex-porn star Bree Olsen — as they hold out a jug of chocolate milk and a Naked brand juice. Though he hasn’t turned down many bookings, Sheen wrote a short time later, “Just got invited to do the Nancy Grace show … I’d rather go on a long road trip with Chuck Lorre in a ’75 Pacer,” he said, at once dissing the creator of “Men” and the pitbull cable talker in one fell swoop. A short time later, he Twitpic’d a photo of himself holding up a placard that read “Oscars 2011,” featuring an image of an Oscar trophy with his head on it, followed by a pic of his hand wearing only watch () that keeps “Warlock” time and what he called the “Class of 1927 ring ‘Bambino U.’ ” Among those sending their love was Diddy, who tweeted to Sheen, “get dressed my man … sending the driver!”
