If given the opportunity, Ananda Lewis says she wouldn’t return to being a steady TV personality after dominating that space for years in the mid to late ’90s and early ’00s. She was hired and never looked back, doing her best to embrace the opportunities that came with being a beloved face on TV. However, a number of uncomfortable encounters with people in public left her wanting to retreat. That, in particular, was the frightening thing for her. You meant something to them. I think that’s powerful and wonderful — right up until you’re in person and you don’t really know them, but they really know you,” she said. “Then they grab you and they come at you and it’s invasive. I like people, but I’m really private in terms of, I also need a lot of loner time. I’m a loner in my nature. It made a huge conflict in my heart.” Lewis, now 46, found the courage to leave it all behind, including doing her The Ananda Lewis Talk Show, after a few different life events happened. Those events included her grandmother requiring assistance and 9/11 happening. “I had a, kind of a convergence of big life events happening that also influenced my decision,” she said. “It wasn’t only me going, I can’t do this anymore, and that was in the middle of the talk show that I knew it. I knew it before 9/11 happened because we had been taping, but when 9/11 happened I was like, ‘This is a sign. I’m not supposed to be here.’ There are major things going on that are like, ‘get out!’” Ananda is still taking on hosting duties here and there. She is moderating the reunion for Season 3 of the TLC series, Unexpected , which airs Sunday . She also has hosted the latest season of the fun reality series While You Were Out. These Canadian researchers have found that men who show psychopathic traits are found to be way more attractive to women, than those men who do not show psychopathic traits. In their study called Evolutionary Psychological Science , the scientists discovered that men with psychopathic behavior were well-liked, didn’t experience much remorse, and lied often. These traits create a personality style that is very attractive to women. In the study, researchers studied 46 men in controlled dating videos and found that women found men with certain psychopathic traits to be more desirable based on general attractiveness, sexual attractiveness, and confidence. Clearly, Jill Duggar Dillard has had better weeks. First, she shared a photo of a baby casket , totally out of the blue, and got some pretty intense backlash from some upset fans. Now, she was just trying to run some simple errands when she got injured. And yes, there's video. Take a look below: “So, this happened today,” Jill Duggar's video, shared to her Instagram Stories, begins. “Love Sam's food, but … ” she writes in the captions. “Ouch, ya'll,” Jill declares, explaining: “I rammed my shin into that bar on the cart.” If you're not familiar with what she means, don't worry, both a snap below and the video itself illustrate what she means. “WHY does it stick out so far?” she laments. The captions on screen continue along with the video. “Was so trying to act like I wasn't limping while I wanted to cry,” Jill confesses. “I think it hurts worse the older you get,” she assesses. Jill continues: “I think my mom used to say that, lol.” We trust that she'll understand if we're not amused by anything that Michelle Duggar might say about children experiencing pain. “And,” she adds in a fainter note. “I need to shave lol.” “This video doesn't do it justice,” Jill admits. “Hurts so bad,” she expresses. Jill describes her injury: “And has a raised bump and turned blue/green right away.” Just because it's not visible on camera doesn't mean that it doesn't hurt. Speaking to the camera during the video, Jill admits that she hasn't been to Sam's in a while. She finds the carts “super tall,” which is pretty standard for a short person to say. But the bar underneath is what hit her shins. Gotta be honest, I've had this happen to me before, if not recently, and it is every bit as agonizing as Jill suggests. When a metal bar strikes your shin, it is almost directly hitting your bone. So what is the solution to this? Most shoppers simply have to adapt and learn that it is there as a hazard. But it sounds like Jill is hoping that maybe Sam's will change their carts. One solution would be to raise the bar just a few inches, which would vastly lower the odds of shin-strikes like the one that she experienced. By raising that bar, the person's legs would have to be that much closer to the cart in order to hit it. Injuries would go way down. It would also decrease the potential volume of the cart in terms of carrying groceries. A few inches can go a long way. Jill may of course face criticism for shopping at a chain notorious for union-busting and for allegedly being anti-worker. (Confession: though I've never been in a Sam's Club, I do order their toilet paper in bulk because it's the best! I apologize for my own weakness) But hopefully critics will considering Jill's injury to be, like, karma or at least a mitigating factor. Remember that not all communities have shopping options, and some entire towns rely upon Wal-Mart and Sam's for most of their shopping.

In the new Season 17 trailer for Keeping Up With The Kardashians , Khloe confronts Kourtney’s apparent apathy. “You would be happy if the show ended?” Khloe both asks and accuses. Both women are viewed through a rose gold filter for this scene. “Yeah,” Kourt replies nonchalantly. “Who cares?” Aside from millions of fans? Well, usually the reality stars themselves care a great deal. Usually. On the one hand, this is more than a little stunning. Like all fo the Kardashians, Kourtney’s brand was largely built by and remains tied to the show that made her famous. Is it her only source of income? No. She has her lifestyle brand, and she has her fingers in a couple of different projects and partnerships. But look at Kim, who is worth a third of a billion, and look at Kylie, who is a full billionaire. Kourt’s net worth is about a tenth of Kim’s. Is she extremely wealthy? Yes. But unlike her sisters, Kourtney might have to change her lifestyle if her income stream suddenly reduced to a trickle. She has kids to think about. But on the other hand, this is no surprise at all. From the start, when the idea for the show was first pitched, Kris and Kim were the ones who were onboard. Kourtney and Khloe were not exactly gung ho about it. Khloe, at the time, had some insecurities about her appearance — insecurities that would later be magnified by hateful jokes at her expense. It’s clear why she was shy about fame. But why was Kourtney? One of the things that makes Kourtney so likeable, aside from being the hottest of Kris’ first crop of children, is that she’s pretty chill. Sure, she goes on vacations and she was the first of her siblings to dip her toes into the world of parenting. But she doesn’t have this bonkers, Type-A drive to constantly do things . That makes her different from Kim, for example. Kim is like a shark who can’t stop swimming. And by Khloe’s own admission, Khloe’s days are often dominated by her carefully planned exercise and dietary routines. Have you ever gone on vacation with one of those absolute monsters who wants to schedule nonstop activities for every minute of every day? That may be how Kourtney is feeling, these days. Appearing as an occasional guest on her baby daddy’s show is one thing. It’s just a gig. But after over a decade of relentless filming, she has to want to focus more on living her life. Kim might be driven to madness if she just enjoys existing for a week without activities, but Kourtney clearly craves some peace.
