Joy-Anna Duggar SLAMMED By Fans For Animal Cruelty: Why Do You Have to Kill?!

Last week, much of the Duggar family traveled west to visit Jinger Duggar in Los Angeles . It was the Duggars’ first pilgrimage to the City of Angels, and the entire Counting On clan made the trip — with two important exceptions. Jill Duggar stayed home with her kids, and her younger sister Joy-Anna embarked on a different kind of journey. Joy was curiously quiet on social media for most of the time that her family was in California, which led to rumors of a falling out. But now, we know she had simply set out on an adventure — one that made it very difficult to update her social media pages. Earlier this week, Joy posted the photo below to the joint Instagram account she shares with Austin. “Colorado,” the mother of one captioned the pic. “Y’all! I got to come with the guys this year on their Elk hunting trip! It’s freezing cold and we have already done a ton of hiking, but we’re excited cuz we’ve already spotted some elk!” she added. “Can’t wait for opening morning! It is absolutely GORGEOUS here!” While it’s unclear if Joy actually wielded a weapon herself, the revelation that she participated in an elk hunt didn’t sit well with some fans. “Why do you like to kill animals?I could not!” commented one such follower. Several others voiced their displeasure with Joy’s heavily-armed camping trip, but in the end, she seemed to have more supporters than detractors. “From one Colorado hunting woman to another, I appreciate you!” wrote one fan. ”I have lived here my whole life but my husband and I began hunting together 3 years ago,” the commenter continued. “Such an amazing experience and there’s just something about being surrounded by the beauty of Gods creation that really relaxes you! Cannot wait to get out there for deer season in just a few weeks! Good luck!!” Another fan pushed back against Joy’s critics, pointing out that raising one’s own food — by any means — generally cuts back on environmental waste: “If anything hunting is better for the world. Less packaging, zero plastic waste, zero machines for processing,” the follower commented. “As long as they’re eating what they hunt, what’s the problem. You can’t be against killing animals but not against destroying the environment.” One person who didn’t feel the need to weigh in on the debate was Joy. While she posted several updates on the trip she kept her comments apolitical, preferring instead to gush about her doting husband: “This Man! He has tucked me in every night, given me his blanket so I’d be warm, took my heavy backpack when I was getting tired, encouraged me when I was struggling to finish hiking up the steep trail, he is such a gentleman and helps encourage me to achieve me goals and dreams!” wrote Joy-Anna. “I love you so much, Austin Martyn!” As fans know, Joy-Anna suffered a miscarriage  back in July, and she’s reportedly struggled with depression in the months since. Queen Elizabeth II to Meghan Markle: You Can’t Get a Dog Because I SAID SO!

Ever since she married Prince Harry back in May of 2018, Meghan Markle’s ability to get along with her royal in-laws has been a subject of constant speculation and debate. Has Meghan breached royal protocol again? Is she really feuding with Kate Middleton ? Is her apparent beef with the Duchess of Cambridge just a smokescreen disguising Prince William’s feud with Prince Harry ? These are questions that have popped up repeatedly in tabloid headlines and have even served as the inspiration for numerous lengthy thinkpieces that touch on topics of race, the “special relationship” between England and America, and the nature of royalty itself. Unfortunately, it may be decades before the story of Meghan’s assimilation into the royal family can really be told truthfully. Until then, we’re left to ponder smaller questions — like why in the hell would Queen Elizabeth II tell Meg she can’t adopt a freakin’ dog? Yes, as you may recall, earlier this year, Harry and Meghan moved out of Kensington Palace and into Frogmore Cottage, an estate on the Queen’s property. They also relocated their offices, which means they now work in close quarters with Elizabeth — who has apparently made it clear that there are struct rules in place regarding pets. “Harry and Meghan have moved their offices in with the Queen’s Buck House, and she absolutely does not want some mutt messing up her rugs,” a source close to the situation tells Radar Online. “Plus her corgis rule the roost there and don’t take too kindly to outsiders.” But it seems even queens engage in compromise from time to time: “The Queen has said Meghan can do what she wants on her own property out at Frogmore, but is not to bring any of them to the Palace,” the insider continues. “Meghan would be devastated by this, given rescues are her chosen passion.” So it sounds less like Meghan is not allowed to have a dog and more like there would be restrictions on where the dog is allowed to roam on the grounds — which seems totally reasonable. Still, in the interest of stirring up drama, the insider says this is the Queen’s way of keeping Meghan in check following several recent breaches in royal protocol. It seems the most serious violation was Meghan’s baby shower , which was apparently such a no-no that QE2 is still pissed about it, several months later: “Baby showers and post-birth celebrations are simply not done in the royal family so this will likely set off some fireworks at Buckingham Palace,” Yet again, being royalty sounds like it’s not all it’s cracked up to be. You have to give up the right to have a party with your friends, and you’re not even allowed to behead people anymore? What’s the point? Schitt’s Creek – Pop TV This comedy about a family who loses everything has been around for several years, but thanks to the power of Netflix, its popularity exploded to the point that it has scored multiple Emmy nominations. 4. The Haunting of Hill House – Netflix If you’re a fan of the horror genre, then this excellent Netflix series is the one for you. With first-rate acting, many horrors, and a whole lot of twists, it will keep you engrossed from start to finish. 5. Big Little Lies – HBO With a cast that includes Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley, Zoe Kravitz, Laura Dern, and even Meryl Streep, Big Little Lies is one of the best shows on the air. It’s a tale of a group of women bonded by murder, and how they come to grips with that. All two seasons are available to stream right now. 6. YOU – Netflix You started its life on Lifetime, but it didn’t pop until it moved to Netflix as an original series. Kylie Jenner may be busy as a billionaire makeup mogul and a single mom, but she still knows how to clap back hard when she needs to. She also still knows how to open up to her social media fans and followers about her life and her feelings. In an emotional new post, Kylie is opening up about anxiety, losing friends, and living her entire life in the spotlight. Kylie Jenner shared this beautiful photo of her silhouette and of the breathtaking sunset over the water. “I’m proud of myself, my heart, and my strength,” Kylie affirms as her captions begin. She reflects upon how “growing up in the light with a million eyes on you just isn’t normal.” She’s right about that. “I’ve lost friends along the way,” Kylie admits. “And,” Kylie writes. “I’ve lost myself too sometimes.” She then talks about what she has done to stay grounded. “My first tattoo was ‘sanity,'” Kylie notes. She explains that she received it “to remind myself [every day] to keep it.” Makes sense to me. “I’ve struggled with anxiety my whole young adult life,” Kylie writes. Notably, her sister Kendall also grapples with debilitating anxiety. “And after my baby,” Kylie recalls. “i dealt with all the internal ups and downs.” She admits: “I felt like i had to find myself completely again.” “I keep a whole lot to myself,” Kylie is the first to admit. “But,” she explains to her fans and followers, she “just wanted to share.” We’re sure that they understand. “And,” Kylie expressed, she wanted to “let you know I’m human.” That is always good to remember. Contrary to what fans may see on television and social media, life isn’t all curvy photoshoots and small but expensive portions of fruit. “My life is not perfect,” Kylie makes it clear. Her mental health, her social life, her relationships with others … all of that can be positive or negative no matter how things look on Instagram. “And,” she notes. “What you see here on social media is just the surface.” Very true. Kylie has some powerful advice for her fans and followers. She asks them to “be gentle with yourself, move on, and let go.” Kylie reminds the world that “we are all capable of great things, worthy of love, and allowed to express ourselves.” That’s beautiful! She suggests that people try to “do more of what makes you happy.” “And,” Kylie continues, she suggests that people “Be unapologetic.” “Now is your season,” she affirms. (That sounds vaguely threatening, like a hunting season in an old cartoon , but she clearly means that it’s your time to shine) Kylie concludes: “We all have a magnificent destiny.” When it comes to Kylie speaking of losing friends, one name comes to everyone’s mind. “I think that this whole Jordyn situation needed to happen for a reason,” Kylie told Khloe. “For me, for her, for you, for everybody” “She was my security blanket,” Kylie confessed. “She lived with me, we did everything together.” “I just felt like, ‘Oh, I have Jordyn, I don’t need anything else,'” Kylie recalled. “I feel like there’s a part of me that needed to grow without her.” “Sometimes people are there for certain reasons at certain times in your life, and then not there for others,” she speculated. Gossip Girl Reboot: Actually Happening! On Something Called HBO Max!

XOXO? More like XOX… OH, YES! Horrible puns and forced segues aside, we now have confirmation that the previously-rumored Gossip Girl reboot is officially a go. It’s happening, Upper East Siders. It really is happening. A revamped version of this formerly beloved CW drama has been officially ordered and will air on HBO Max, the upcoming streaming service from WarnerMedia. The first season will be comprised of 10 episodes, each an hour long, and it will be written by Joshua Safran, an executive producer on the original series. Like The CW’s Gossip Girl, this new iteration will be based based on the book by Cecily von Ziegesar. Here is the HBO Max synopsis: Eight years after the original website went dark, a new generation of New York private school teens are introduced to the social surveillance of Gossip Girl. The prestige series will address just how much social media – and the landscape of New York itself – has changed in the intervening years. Gossip Girl ran for six seasons from 2007 through 2012 on The CW, airing an astounding 121 episodes and making quasi household names out of heretofore unknown actors and actresses. As far as we know, none of these original cast members will return for the new version. This shouldn’t come as a surprise, considering Blake Lively, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford, Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick all seemed pretty happy to be done with the show when it finally ended seven years back. Each of these stars has moved on in his or her own way as well. Lively is married to Ryan Reynolds, comprising one half of what may be Hollywood’s most attractive couple. Badgley anchors the popular Netflix drama You. Meester starred on the recently-renewed ABC sitcom Single Parents. Crawford is probably looking for work. And Westwick has been accused of rape . “No one’s ever asked me,” Meester told E! News about a return to Gossip Girl earlier this year, adding several months back: “No one’s ever talked to me about it except for in interviews and I always say the same: I never say never, so I don’t know.” “No one’s sent me that information, it’s coming from you.” HBO Max is set to launch in the spring of 2020. The platform will be the exclusive home of Friends, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Pretty Little Liars and more programs. New shows from Kaley Cuoco, Anna Kendrick and movies from Greg Berlanti and Reese Witherspoon will also live on the streaming service. Leighton Meester Doesn’t Miss Gossip Girl. Here’s Why.

We fell head over heels, madly, totally and deeply in love with Leighton Meester on Gossip Girl. Blair Waldorf is one of the best characters in TV history and we will physically fight anyone who says differently. But Leighton Meester says in a new interview that she actually didn’t love her time on this CW hit… … and she explains in detail her reasons why. “I would get there at 5 a.m. and leave at 8 p.m.,” the actress tells the latest issue of PorterEdit magazine. “A lot of days I didn’t see the sun.” Don’t get the star wrong; she knows how lucky she was to work with Chace Crawford, Penn Badgley, Blake Lively, Taylor Momsen and Ed Westwick and to be on a series that lasted for many years. (“It’s the best-case scenario that a show could ever go for six years,” she says. “It doesn’t happen often.”) Still, though. There were nearly just as many downs as there were ups during Meester’s stint on the iconic drama. “I was young when I started Gossip Girl,” she expounds, detailing how having such a giant hit at this age is both a blessing and a curse: “A lot more people were suddenly around and I was being looked at. “If you don’t have the right perspective, you could definitely be confused by people being that nice to you or judging you for behavior that’s typical of a 20-, 21-year-old, making mistakes but having to make them very publicly,. “I’m not haunted by that time, but it’s been interesting and helpful for me to look at it and examine it as an adult and go, ‘I don’t know if it was the healthiest environment.'” Gossil Girl ran from 2007 through 2012. The last couple seasons were trash, but those first few found the perfect mixture of comedy, drama, irony and tone. You should really go watch Gossip Girl online and catch up if you’ve somehow never viewed the program. “Everyone has their own journey, especially in their early twenties when they’re just figuring out who they are,” continues Meester in this interview. “Because of the success of [Gossip Girl], I was put in a place where that journey was sped up. I had to figure it out quickly and with not a completely developed mind to discern between what’s real and what’s not, who I can trust and who I can’t. “I got really lucky and was able to very early on find and stay friends with people who are true.” Gossip Girl was a “special time.” Meester does not want to give the impression otherwise. But does she miss it? That’s a very different question. “I wouldn’t trade it for anything. It’s sort of a time capsule… “I say this with nothing but love – it is like saying, ‘High school was an amazing time for you. Do you wish you could go back?’ And the truth is, it was so special and such a unique, amazing experience, but no, I wouldn’t wanna go back to it. “I was a kid!” And now that she’s grown up, Meester will be portraying a single mother on the new ABC sitcom this fall, Single Parents. She’s come a long, long way.

Ed Westwick: Under Police Investigation for Rape

The Los Angeles Police Department has opened an investigation into Ed Westwick. Specifically, the Los Angeles Police Department has opened an investigation into Ed Westwick in relation to accusations against the actor of rape. These troubling charges were leveled against the ex-Gossip Girl star by actress Kristina Cohen , who shared a lengthy Facebook post on Monday. In her social media message, Cohen said she met Westwick at the actor’s house during a dinner party she attended with her boyfriend three years ago. The boyfriend was a producer and was friends with Westwick. Cohen alleges she was woken up from a nap in a guest bedroom by Westwick, writing in upsetting detail: [He] on top of me, his fingers entering my body. I told him to stop, but he was strong. I fought him off as hard as I could but he grabbed my face in his hands, shaking me, telling me he wanted to fuck me. I was paralyzed, terrified. I couldn’t speak, I could no longer move. He held me down and raped me. Cohen went on to say her boyfriend pressured her to keep quiet about the incident, but she has finally come forward with the accusation now because she’s been inspired by all the women who have done the same against Harvey Weinstein . (The veteran movie producer has been accused over the past few weeks of assault and sexual misconduct by over 50 actresses.) Concluded Cohen on Facebook: I hope my coming forward will help others to know that they are not alone, that they are not to blame, and it is not their fault. Just as the other women and men coming forward have helped me to realize the same. I hope that my stories and the stories of others help to reset and realign the toxic environments and power imbalances that have created these monsters. In response to this rape claim, Westwick issued the following statement: “I do not know this woman. I have never forced myself in any manner, on a woman. I certainly have never committed rape.” Cohen, meanwhile, did more than just write on Facebook; she filed a police report on Tuesday. The LAPD would not confirm Cohen’s identity, but public information officer Tony Im told People Magazine that Westwick was named as a suspect in the report. “Suspect forced victim to have sexual intercourse inside his residence … three years ago,” the report reads, according to Deadline, which broke the news of this investigation. Westwick is best known for his lead role on The CW’s Gossip Girl. Cohen appeared on the series Ladies Like Us from 2013 through 2015. Jennifer Lopez: Looking Hot, Celebrating Her Birthday with Alex Rodriguez!

Jennifer Lopez celebrated her birthday yesterday. She turned 48, though you absolutely wouldn’t know it from looking at her. Her boyfriend, Alexander Rodriguez, took to Instagram to post a beautiful and affectionate tribute to her in honor of her birthday. But that wasn’t all. We now have some new hot, revealing J Lo photos , because the world can never have enough. Her birthday outfit was just shy of being her birthday suit . She. Looks. Amazing . You might be thinking that it’s “easy” to look gorgeous when your outfit is as revealing as this one. And, to be sure, this outfit looks like she’d spend her evening constantly perched on the verge of a major nip-slip. (Though we’re sure that she’s using some double-sided tape) But the fact that it’s so revealing is part of what makes it so impressive. Because not everybody can pull off an outfit like that when they’re 20, let alone 48 . Wearing it is a power move, but Jennifer Lopez has the body — and abs — to pull it off. Wearing it out to celebrate is even more of a power move, honestly, because plenty of people would worry that establishments would turn them away if they show up wearing … almost nothing. That can’t be a major worry for J Lo. (A friend of mine once had to nervously remind her that children weren’t allowed in a particular part of the hotel, but it’s hard to picture her being asked to change clothes for the sake of some restaurant) Remember J Lo’s infamous dress from … nearly 20 years ago? To think that, at the time, people looked and wondered how she kept it up. (Definitely with double-sided tape, folks — that’s always the answer) This outfit puts that dress to shame. Alex Rodriguez posted a birthday tribute to the singer on his own Instagram page. “Wishing a happy birthday to this amazing human being who lights up my world every day. Te amo muneca!!” That is so sweet. Of course, we already knew that these two were crazy about each other — almost obnoxiously so (remember their baecation ?). But that doesn’t make birthday messages any less precious. For those of you who took Spanish too long ago to remember (or took a different language and really don’t know), that last bit of A-Rod’s message means: “I love you, doll.” Cute, right? He also included “#Leo,” because goofy astrology stuff isn’t just for your Twitter mutuals. Celebrities do it, too. Seriously, though, look at her again. That outfit is almost unrealistic in its excellence. Like the kind of thing that a video game designer would (deservedly) get hell for after making it the default outfit of a female character. By J Lo rocks it in real life like that’s what everybody wears. Amazing. For what it’s worth, A-Rod looks pretty great in his cobalt suit. Just, you know, all eyes are understandably on Jennifer Lopez. Sometimes it’s easy to give Jennifer Lopez a hard time, but her birthday week’s a good time to remember that we really do believe that she’s a good person. In fact, recently her post about her sister’s child, Brendan, gained positive notice because J Lo respected her nibling’s they/them pronouns. You’d think that respecting a person’s basic pronouns, gender, and identity would be the bare minimum of what you’d expect even between strangers, let alone between family and loved ones. In today’s toxic political climate, that isn’t always the case. And sometimes celebrities have nasty surprises for you — Drake Bell, back when Caitlyn Jenner came out as trans, revealed himself to be a huge transphobe and tried to “honor” her athletic accomplishments. Never have I clicked “unfollow” so quickly. (Hate Caitlyn all that you like, but not because she’s trans, and don’t misgender her or use her deadname) Clearly, J Lo is a good and loving aunt in a world that needs more like her. And she must make one hell of a girlfriend, because A-Rod is glued to her side. It looks like she’s crazy about him, too. Even though she’s reluctant to make him her fourth ex-husband . We get that.
