Source: Boston Globe / Getty Former NFL Player Blames CTE As Reason He Accepted Plea Deal According to Bleacher Report , former NFL cornerback Brandon Browner has filed an appeal of his attempted murder conviction, saying he was “unfit to agree to his plea deal” because he was “dealing with undiagnosed bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder at the time”. His lawyers are arguing Browner’s mental health problems could possibly be the result of CTE suffered from his lengthy football career. This past December, Browner was sentenced to eight years in prison after pleading no-contest to attempted murder and two counts of cruelty to a child. He was reportedly arrested in July after attacking his ex-girlfriend in front of her two children. Browner fired his legal representation after agreeing to his plea and hired famed attorney Chris Darden, the prosecutor who handled the O.J. Simpson case. Darden is preparing to ask the judge to throw out the plea agreement.

The Giudice family is rallying against Joe’s impending deportation and asking their fans for support. Teresa is still making time to do Real Housewives events — it’s part of her job, after all. At a recent gathering, she asked fans in the audience to keep her family in their prayers as they fight to stay together. Teresa Giudice took part in the East Coast Vs. West Coast Real Housewives Brunch at the Mohegan Sun casino in Uncasville, Connecticut. Us Weekly reports that, while she was there, she used her platform to ask for emotional support from the audience. “Teresa said to please pray for me and my family,” an eyewitness reveals. The eyewitness adds: “She really hopes Joe is out of jail to see [their daughter] Gia graduate.” Additionally, “She said she cannot wait to see the light at the end of the tunnel.” Not everything that Teresa discussed was as upsetting as a family being torn apart. According to the eyewitness, Teresa “was in really good spirits and made the crowd laugh several times.” “She explained that Dina [Manzo] and Jacqueline [Laurita] were asked to recommend beautiful women for the show,” the eyewitness reports. “Dina recommended Teresa,” she shared. The eyewitness then reveals: “Teresa said she does not know why Caroline [Manzo] did the show.” Shade . “And,” the eyewitness shares. “There was a joke about if Teresa did the show, her husband would go to jail.” That prophecy has been fulfilled, then. As far as doing the show, “she said she f–ken shouldn’t have.” “She said it is Jacqueline’s fault for her doing the show,” the eyewitness adds. “Teresa said she suckered Joe into doing the show,” the report says. The eyewitness continues: “and now that he is away, he has watched himself and says he was an a–hole.” Apparently Gia and her mom have been looking at universities, but Teresa is strongly encouraging for her to stay close to home. “Teresa said she is sick of driving far,” the eyewitness reports. “So is pushing for her to go to Rutgers.” “She said she drives too much,” the report continues. “From dropping off and picking up kids and going to see Joe, she is sick of driving.” Teresa also dished on her 17-year-old daughter’s academic performance, which is … a hell of a thing to do. “She said Gia struggles in school,” the eyewitness says. “And has tutors and she is tired of paying for them.” The eyewitness reports: “She said she gets good grades, but she is not a genius like her middle daughter, who gets straight As and is the smart one.” Teresa addressed other topics, beyond comparing the relative academic performances and intelligences of her children. Caitlyn Jenner’s own daughter accused her of betraying her family , but now it’s Cait’s turn to feel betrayed. See, Caitlyn’s rumored girlfriend recently characterized their relationship as strictly professional. According to a report, that’s really gotten under Cait’s skin … and frankly, it’s hurt her feelings. On October 3, 22-year-old Sophia Hutchins spoke to Jim Breslo on his podcast, Hidden Truth . Sophia very casually announced that she and Cait are not in a romantic or sexual relationship. She characterized the two of them as a pair of “business partners.” Considering that she and the 68-year-old Olympian have been seemingly joined at the hip for ages … that’s a surprise. How many business partners spend most of their time at the same house or going on vacations together? RadarOnline reports that Caitlyn is devastated that Sophia would say this. “Caitlyn’s heartbroken that Sophia didn’t send a loud and clear message,” an insider says. Cait is a reasonably private person about certain things — for a celebrity who is also a reality star, anyway. But apparently this really wounded her. The source says that Cait would have preferred to hear Sophia “professing her love for her and saying that they’re, in fact, romantic.” Cait is not just reportedly feeling hurt — she is also said to be a little confused. “Cait’s not sure why Sophia’s grandstanding,” the insider describes. It sounds like, in her mind, Sophia should have confirmed that they’re dating, or at least said nothing at all. “And,” the source continues, overall “she’s not happy with this interview.” Uh-oh. Cait and Sophia have been inseparable for a while now, but this apparently has Cait feeling used. “A piece of her feels used and taken advantage of,” and insider reports. That’s never a good feeling to have. “And,” the source continues. “She thought she’d never feel that way again ever since she left Kris [Jenner] and the Kardashians.” We can definitely see how that would be a sore sticking point for her. To make matters worse, the report says that Cait wants to lash out in response. “She’s hurt and wants to punish Sophia,” the insider claims. Sometimes, that’s a person’s first instinct, even when it relates to someone she loves. The source adds that she may do so “by taking away the credit cards she gave her and reevaluate their relationship.” This could get ugly. It sounds like Sophia may have grown accustomed to living large on Cait’s considerable fortune. “Caitlyn is spending an absolute fortune on Sophia,” the insider previously claimed to RadarOnline . “She’s constantly treating her to drinks and dinners at the nicest restaurants in town,” the source mentioned. “And,” the insider added, Cait “buys her jewelry and handbags all the time!” That sounds very nice … but potentially very expensive. “Sophia is using Caitlyn’s cash to deck out her wardrobe with designer clothes and get her hair and nails done every week,” the insider claimed. If this report is to be believed, this is costing enough to make a dent in even Caitlyn’s considerable fortune. “This is costing Caitlyn at least $50,000 each week!” the source announced. Cait is said to be worth about $100 million, but at that level of wealth, spending one two-thousandth of your net worth every week on someone else is … probably too much. And it would mean that Sophia has a lot to lose. We have to say that we find this report to be a little … suspect. As we said, Cait herself is private about certain things. She has been very reserved about her love life since her transition. It is extremely difficult to imagine that she, even if she and Sophia are dating as so many suspect, is demanding that they go public. And if they’re not in an open secret of a relationship, then this whole thing would be bogus. Back in may, Catfish host Nev Schulman was accused of sexual misconduct . The woman who brought forward her #MeToo story had appeared on the show, and says that she worried that he might do the same with other women. Now, she has revealed that she filed her report about the alleged incident with the police. Ayissha Morgan tells The Blast that she officially filed two police reports related to her allegations of sexual misconduct that she leveled towards Nev Schulman. She says that both reports were filed on May 25. The reports, filed with the Houston Police Department, were made “for what happened during my participation on the show.” She accuses a production assistant of having plied her with alcohol in order to take advantage of her. She also accuses Schulman, the host of Catfish , of having sexually harassed her. (Though sexual harassment is never okay, it is important to note that Ayissha is openly gay, which adds another upsetting layer to the alleged harassment) Speaking to The Blast , Ayissha explains what that process of speaking to the police was like. “I have provided them with my statement and detailed accounts of what I went through.” She has a general message for readers who are curious about her life — from her appearance on Catfish a few years ago and from her new accusations. “I ask that you please respect my privacy moving forward.” Of course. She does not want to answer any more particular questions, in case it interfere with the police as they look into the matter. “And allow those who are handling the investigation do so without interference.” Of course. Investigators prefer to be the only ones asking questions. When Ayissha published her accusations, she did so with a great deal of thought, and included a note, writing: “I don’t want attention or money.” So many accuse the accusers of hoping to somehow turn their accusations into fame and fortune, even though most of what accusers face is ridicule. “Help me spread awareness.” She admits that she feels tormented by the idea that Schulman may have harassed other women while she has remained silent. “This is a serious topic that I would never lie about.” Allegations of sexual misconduct is about as serious as it gets. “That would be disgusting for me to lie about something as serious as this. Please understand.” Schulman is said to have repeatedly verbally harassed Ayissha while the two were not on camera. At one point, he allegedly told her: “I have a big d–k. I would tear your a– up.” There are situations in which that is an okay thing to say to a person. When you are a TV host and your guest is very much not interested is not one of those times. Nev Schulman has denied the allegations . MTV is making sure that Catfish does not have any further incidents by suspending production on the current season. It is always smart to play it safe for many reasons, in terms of ethics, public image, and even potential liability issues. Unfortunately, sexual misconduct is both extremely difficult to prove or disprove. Ayissha Morgan may need to find a corroborating witness — perhaps she already has one — or at least an outcry witness in order for police to be able to build a case from her report. A handful of new details have emerged in regard to the shocking and tragic death of Kate Spade . As previously reported, the fashion icon seemingly committed suicide inside her Manhattan apartment on Tuesday morning, with Spade’s housekeeper finding her boss’s body around 10:20 a.m. Spade was 55 years old. The veteran handbag maker reportedly used a scarf tied to a bedroom door knob to take her own life. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Shortly after this horrible news went public, Kate Spade New York released the following statement via its official Twitter account: Kate Spade, the visionary founder of our brand, has passed. Our thoughts are with her family at this incredibly heartbreaking time. We honor all the beauty she brought into this world. We can also now confirm that Spade’s husband was at the apartment when his wife’s body was discovered. Spade was one of the world’s most famous fashion designers. She was specifically known and respected for creating a line of handbags and jewelry in the 1990s… which blossomed into a fashion enterprise with over 140 retail stores across the United States. Kate got her start in the 1980s, working for women’s magazine “Mademoiselle” in Manhattan. Together with husband Andy (the brother of actor David Space), Spade launched Kate Spade Handbags in 1993; it eventually turned into a full-scale clothing and jewelry line. Spade sold her company in 2007 and took some time off to raise her daughter. However, Kate then got back in the fashion game in 2016 by launching a new brand called Frances Valentine … named after her daughter, who’s now 13 years old. This is especially relevant and sad at the moment because The New York Post reports that Kate did, in fact, leave a suicide note. It mainly addressed her daughter, telling Frances that her suicide was NOT the teenager’s fault. A police source, meanwhile, told this same newspaper that the suicide was due to “relationship problems.” We don’t feel comfortable speculating beyond that. In response to this news, a number of celebrities have expressed their sadness and surprise on Twitter. Take fellow designer Liz Lange, for instance: The nicest woman, the first person to compliment me on Liz Lange Maternity when I first started. And the creator of the most iconic brand. I am heart broken by this news. And Chelsea Clinton: My grandmother gave me my first Kate Spade bag when I was in college. I still have it. Holding Kate’s family, friends and loved ones in my heart. According to a Deadline report , Rick Grimes time is almost up as well on the AMC blockbuster show. According to the report, he will only appear in six episodes in the now Angela Kang ran show. When we last left Rick, he has overcome his greatest foe Nega n (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) but might have gained two new ones in former friends Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Daryl (Norman Reedus). Ironically Cohan was engaged in a contract dispute which has been resolved and her participation next season will be reportedly reduced to six-episodes as she focuses more on her role in the new ABC show Whiskey Cavalier. So with Rick leaving who is poised to take over? Fan favorite Daryl will lead the group according to the report. Reedus is reportedly going to receive a $20 million contract that is definitely enough incentive to stay on the TWD for the foreseeable future. There is no word if Danai Gurira will stop swinging her sword past season 9 and AMC declined to comment about the recent revelations. All of this news comes after TWD suffered a significant drop in ratings according to the shows viewership standards. It was back to the 2016 Presidential Election on American Horror Story Season 7 Episode 10 . When the episode got underway, we picked up with a flashback that took us to the final debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. That was the night Kai realized he wanted world domination and he was going to find a way to make it happen … even if it meant killing multiple people to get there. Kai went at it with one of Winter’s friends because of their differing views about Americans. He smacked the chick in the face, and that’s how he found himself in anger management. This meeting helped connect the dots somewhat when it emerged that the coach was Bebe Babbitt. She was the woman who tried to reel the women in a few weeks back, but it was revealed she was working with Kai. She seemed to think that Kai needed to know his true purpose in the world was to give up his own life to help all American women have their way. “The women of the world are waiting for you, legs spread, on their backs,” she told him. “Impregnate them! Help them give birth to their rage!” Back in the present, a protestor hit Kai in the face at one of his political rallies, so it was up there with the other crazy ones that have occurred this season. Kai then told his cult about Charles Manson, and noted that he “wasn’t thinking big enough.” Kai then took his latest propaganda to Planned Parenthood, and everyone stabbed the man working there. As if that was not bad enough, they wrote: “Stop the Slaughter” on the door. From then on, it became apparent to Kai that someone from the cult was about to try and take him down. Bebe visited him to find out what he was going to do now that he’s gone off course. “You really thought I was going to drown myself in female rage?” he asked. “You thought I’d die for some dead bitch’s cause? … Women can’t run things. They’re too emotional, too irrational. … Women need to be grabbed by their p–s and led, preferably into the kitchen to make me a sandwich.” Ally appeared with a gun and took Bebe right out of the equation. Yes, we’re still surprised at how crazy Ally has become. For Ally, her revenge plan was not over. She made it look like Winter was recording conversations with Kai and that meant Kai thought his sister could be the one ready to jump ship. The Los Angeles Police Department has opened an investigation into Ed Westwick. Specifically, the Los Angeles Police Department has opened an investigation into Ed Westwick in relation to accusations against the actor of rape. These troubling charges were leveled against the ex-Gossip Girl star by actress Kristina Cohen , who shared a lengthy Facebook post on Monday. In her social media message, Cohen said she met Westwick at the actor’s house during a dinner party she attended with her boyfriend three years ago. The boyfriend was a producer and was friends with Westwick. Cohen alleges she was woken up from a nap in a guest bedroom by Westwick, writing in upsetting detail: [He] on top of me, his fingers entering my body. I told him to stop, but he was strong. I fought him off as hard as I could but he grabbed my face in his hands, shaking me, telling me he wanted to fuck me. I was paralyzed, terrified. I couldn’t speak, I could no longer move. He held me down and raped me. Cohen went on to say her boyfriend pressured her to keep quiet about the incident, but she has finally come forward with the accusation now because she’s been inspired by all the women who have done the same against Harvey Weinstein . (The veteran movie producer has been accused over the past few weeks of assault and sexual misconduct by over 50 actresses.) Concluded Cohen on Facebook: I hope my coming forward will help others to know that they are not alone, that they are not to blame, and it is not their fault. Just as the other women and men coming forward have helped me to realize the same. I hope that my stories and the stories of others help to reset and realign the toxic environments and power imbalances that have created these monsters. In response to this rape claim, Westwick issued the following statement: “I do not know this woman. I have never forced myself in any manner, on a woman. I certainly have never committed rape.” Cohen, meanwhile, did more than just write on Facebook; she filed a police report on Tuesday. The LAPD would not confirm Cohen’s identity, but public information officer Tony Im told People Magazine that Westwick was named as a suspect in the report. “Suspect forced victim to have sexual intercourse inside his residence … three years ago,” the report reads, according to Deadline, which broke the news of this investigation. Westwick is best known for his lead role on The CW’s Gossip Girl. Cohen appeared on the series Ladies Like Us from 2013 through 2015.
