Source: Roy Rochlin / Getty A.J. Calloway Officially Suspended From ‘Extra’ After Multiple Sexual Assault Accusations In a statement released by the Hollywood Reporter , ‘Extra’ host A.J. Calloway has been suspended from the program after multiple women accused him of sexual assault. Warner Bros. Television officially confirmed the decision in a statement saying the network has started an internal investigation into all of the misconduct claims. “Upon becoming aware of allegations of sexual misconduct against A.J. Calloway, we began an internal review to determine whether there had been any misconduct by Mr. Calloway on Extra and whether any employee of the show had been the victim of any such misconduct. To date, we have found nothing to suggest that Mr. Calloway has ever engaged in workplace misconduct. “In light of additional allegations brought to our attention, we are expanding our ongoing inquiries, and Mr. Calloway has been suspended pending further review,” the network continued. “We take such allegations very seriously and are committed to doing everything we can to ensure a safe and inclusive workplace for all of our employees.” Calloway has been a host on  Extra for over a decade, and this wasn’t the first time he’s been in hot water. Calloway was arrested in 2006 for alleged sexual assault on activist Sil Lai Abrams. The case was later dismissed “on procedural grounds,” but Abrams maintains the assault took place. Additional women accused Calloway of sexual misconduct. “I’m terrified about coming forward,” one of the anonymous women said. “I don’t want it to affect my future, everything that I’ve worked hard for—and A.J. is someone that would try to do that.” His lawyer released a statement saying, “Mr. Calloway maintains that these unsubstantiated allegations are patently false. He vehemently denies that he ever assaulted anyone and looks forward to clearing his name.”

Nev Schulman Accuser Files Police Report Over Alleged Sexual Misconduct

Back in may, Catfish host Nev Schulman was accused of sexual misconduct . The woman who brought forward her #MeToo story had appeared on the show, and says that she worried that he might do the same with other women. Now, she has revealed that she filed her report about the alleged incident with the police. Ayissha Morgan tells The Blast that she officially filed two police reports related to her allegations of sexual misconduct that she leveled towards Nev Schulman. She says that both reports were filed on May 25. The reports, filed with the Houston Police Department, were made “for what happened during my participation on the show.” She accuses a production assistant of having plied her with alcohol in order to take advantage of her. She also accuses Schulman, the host of Catfish , of having sexually harassed her. (Though sexual harassment is never okay, it is important to note that Ayissha is openly gay, which adds another upsetting layer to the alleged harassment) Speaking to The Blast , Ayissha explains what that process of speaking to the police was like. “I have provided them with my statement and detailed accounts of what I went through.” She has a general message for readers who are curious about her life — from her appearance on Catfish a few years ago and from her new accusations. “I ask that you please respect my privacy moving forward.” Of course. She does not want to answer any more particular questions, in case it interfere with the police as they look into the matter. “And allow those who are handling the investigation do so without interference.” Of course. Investigators prefer to be the only ones asking questions. When Ayissha published her accusations, she did so with a great deal of thought, and included a note, writing: “I don’t want attention or money.” So many accuse the accusers of hoping to somehow turn their accusations into fame and fortune, even though most of what accusers face is ridicule. “Help me spread awareness.” She admits that she feels tormented by the idea that Schulman may have harassed other women while she has remained silent. “This is a serious topic that I would never lie about.” Allegations of sexual misconduct is about as serious as it gets. “That would be disgusting for me to lie about something as serious as this. Please understand.” Schulman is said to have repeatedly verbally harassed Ayissha while the two were not on camera. At one point, he allegedly told her: “I have a big d–k. I would tear your a– up.” There are situations in which that is an okay thing to say to a person. When you are a TV host and your guest is very much not interested is not one of those times. Nev Schulman has denied the allegations . MTV is making sure that Catfish does not have any further incidents by suspending production on the current season. It is always smart to play it safe for many reasons, in terms of ethics, public image, and even potential liability issues. Unfortunately, sexual misconduct is both extremely difficult to prove or disprove. Ayissha Morgan may need to find a corroborating witness — perhaps she already has one — or at least an outcry witness in order for police to be able to build a case from her report. Jeremy Piven "Unequivocally" Denies Sexual Misconduct Claim

Jeremy Piven has issued a statement in response to sexual harassment allegations leveled at him by former reality star Ariane Bellamar. Earlier today, we reported on a number of disturbing Tweets posted by Bellamar, who guest-starred many years ago on an episode of Entourage. Piven, of course, is best known for having portrayed super agent Ari Gold throughout the duration of that long-running comedy. In her barrage of social media messages, Bellamar tagged Piven and reminded him of two alleged times in which he groped her private body parts. “Hey @jeremypiven! ‘Member when you cornered me in your trailer on the #Entourage set? ‘Member grabbing my boobies on the without asking??” she wrote, later adding a pair of texts that read: Member when I tried to leave; you grabbed me by the ass, looked at yourself in the mirror, & said what a ‘beautiful couple’ we made? Jeremy Piven, on two occasions, cornered me & forcefully fondled my breasts & bum. Once at the mansion & once on set. Bellamar – who appeared as herself on installments of Beverly Hills Nannies and The Millionaire Matchmaker and who has had bit parts in various movies – also referenced “explicit” texts she supposedly received from Piven. In response to these allegations, the Emmy-winning actor has now said the following: “I unequivocally deny the appalling allegations being peddled about me. It did not happen.” Recognizing in general how difficult it is for victims of sexual harassment and assault to come forward, Piven concluded: “It takes a great deal of courage for victims to come forward with their histories, and my hope is that the allegations about me that didn’t happen, do not detract from stories that should be heard.” Piven was in New York City on Tuesday to promote his awful CBS drama, Wisdom of the Crowd. In a statement of its own, the network says it is “aware of the media reports and [is] looking into the matter.” Over the past few weeks, the topic of sexual harassment in Hollywood has been especially prominent after countless women accused producer Harvey Weinstein of misconduct or even flat out rape. The courage of the alleged victims who have called Weinstein out for his abhorrent behavior has inspired others to do the same. Actor Anthony Rapp, for instance, says that Kevin Spacey attempted to sexually assault him at a party back in 1986, a charge Spacey did not deny. Andy Dick, meanwhile, has been dropped from the independent feature film Raising Buchanan following accusations of sexual harassment and misconduct on set. “I might have kissed somebody on the cheek to say goodbye and then licked them,” Dick said as a defense of his actions, adding: “That’s my thing.” Yeah. Maybe it shouldn’t be. View Slideshow: #MeToo: Stars Share Stories of Sexual Harassment, Assault

Investigation Finds Atlanta Teachers, Principals Cheated To Improve Test Scores [VIDEO]

A scathing investigative report released by Gov. Nathan Deal that has gone national found that 178 teachers and principals in 44 Atlanta Public Schools have cheated to improve their school’s test score, according to an investigation by the state of Georgia. The year-long investigation found that teachers and principals erased and corrected mistakes on students’ answer sheet, while APS Superintendent Beverly Hall and her top aides ignored, buried, destroyed or altered complaints about misconduct, claimed ignorance of wrongdoing and accused critics of failing to believe in the ability of underprivileged children to learn. The investigation found that the misconduct may have started as long as a decade ago. The lengthy report names 178 educators, including 38 principals, as participants in the cheating scandal in what may be the most wide-ranging investigation into test-cheating in a public school district ever conducted in U.S. history. More than 80 of the accused have confessed. According to the AJC , the report accuses top district officials of wrongdoing that could lead to criminal charges in some cases. The decision whether to prosecute those involved is up to three district attorneys — in Fulton, DeKalb and Douglas counties — who will consider potential offenses in their jurisdictions.
