Arrow Season 6 Episode 4 Recap: Reversal

Michael Emerson is in the building! On Arrow Season 6 Episode 4 , the popular actor debuted as Cayden James a.k.a. the man who founded Helix. Watch Arrow Season 6 Episode 4 Online He was not impressed with everything that happened to him, so he was ready to embark on a revenge mission, and that meant taking some people down.  Alena revealed the truth to Felicity, and it sent Felicity right to her team to let them know there was something villainous on its way to Star City and they had to be prepared.  Felicity and Alena joined forces to find a ghost mirror drive that would give them access to some of Helix’s most important files.  When they found the device, their mission was thwarted by none other than Black Siren who showed up to cause some mayhem for them.  Cayden revealed himself to both Alena and Felicity before ordering Black Siren to murder them. He also revealed that he saved Black Siren from death on Lian Yu.  In a scuffle that involved all of Team Arrow, Alena was injured and made her way to the hospital. Felicity managed to confirm that Diggle was right about Black Siren’s murders being covers.  They make their way to a place known as “the vault,” which the villains are trying to access. Oliver played Overwatch and Felicity managed to take the firewall down and save the internet, and of course, their lives.  While it seemed the team won, it was quickly revealed that Cayden wanted her to take the firewall down so he could upload some malware of his own to get the upper hand.  In a somewhat surprising move, Felicity, after conferring with Alena, decided to call her company Helix Dynamics. Alena wanted to become a permanent fixture at the company, but it seemed like Ms. Smoak was on the fence about the potential hire.  She was worried about the trust because Alena’s loyalty wavered in the past, but would she really stick the knife into Felicity twice? Also, Oliver and Felicity celebrated the third anniversary of their first date, but things were thrown into doubt when it emerged that the villains wanted to play a little game.  The episode concluded with Oliver getting a phone call from Slade Wilson who wanted his help with a brand new mission.  Could it involve his son? We’ll have to wait to find out! What did you think of all the action? Sound off below! View Slideshow: 17 Characters Who Ruined Perfectly Good TV Shows

‘Dark Knight Rises’ Trailer: Five Key Scenes

New trailer hints that all is not well in Gotham City eight years after ‘The Dark Knight.’ By Kevin P. Sullivan Tom Hardy as Bane in the new “Dark Knight Rises” trailer Photo: Warner Bros. Some lucky Batman fans got a chance to check out the brand-new trailer for “The Dark Knight Rises” over the weekend, and now Apple has the first theatrical trailer for the entire world to see. The new preview gives us our best look yet at Gotham City eight years after the end of “The Dark Knight,” and things aren’t going very well. Gordon’s tenure as commissioner may be coming to an end. Selina Kyle warns Bruce of a storm on the horizon, and Bane shows a complete disregard for football field maintenance. Here are the five key scenes from the brand-new “Dark Knight Rises” trailer. Old Man Wayne While you may have watched the bootleg of the trailer a dozen times online over the weekend, a lot of the trailer’s details didn’t translate from the pirated copy. The most intriguing detail has to be the reflection in the dish cover. It clearly shows Bruce Wayne walking toward it with a cane. Spy footage from the set hinted that an injured Wayne would have a cane, but this is the first concrete proof. Is this Bane’s work, and how badly is Wayne hurt? This could be the end of Batman that’s hinted at in the trailer. Where in the World Is Bruce Wayne? The scene from the trailer that remains largely a mystery is the one where Wayne enters the hall of staircases and asks what the chanting means. We haven’t seen anything like this setting in the series yet, but Wayne’s clothes resemble the clothes he wears in the early scenes of “Batman Begins,” during his stint in the League of Shadows. We’ve all heard that the final film in Christopher Nolan ‘s trilogy will double-back and cover some territory from the first film. Is this our first look at the return of the League of Shadows? Are You Ready for Some Foootbaaa … OH SH–! Clearly the scene everyone will be talking about, in the football stadium, Nolan tries his hand at making a disaster movie. Nothing in the series so far compares to the earthquake in the stadium in terms of destruction. Bane succeeds where other villains haven’t, and this more or less confirms the presence of the much-discussed earthquake machine. While many had their doubts, no one can deny that Nolan handles an otherwise outlandish concept with a deft and cool hand. Now imagine that in IMAX! Oh Hey, It’s Tali, I Mean, Miranda Tate There she is, the most mysterious of the new characters, Miranda Tate. When Marion Cotillard signed on to re-team with Nolan, people cried foul. The press release may have said Miranda Tate, dutiful Wayne Enterprises employee, but hard-core fans smelled a red herring. This is the first time we’re actually seeing Cotillard, but the trailer doesn’t offer much. Who is Miranda Tate? It’s clear we’ll have to wait to find out. Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-BAT-WING Photos from the set gave us glimpses at Batman’s new aerial ride, the Batwing, but seeing it in action is a whole other monster. I can’t even begin to wrap my head around what that scene is going to be like. We know that several tumblers are involved. Bane is there, and at some point, Batman unleashes the Batwing on everyone. Even though fans knew about the Batpod before “The Dark Knight” hit theaters, its reveal ranked among the film’s best moments. Expect the same treatment for the Batwing. ‘Wrath Of The Titans’ Trailer: Five Key Elements

From Liam Neeson’s authoritative voice to Ralph Fiennes’ villain, we glimpse what’s in store for the ‘Clash of the Titans’ sequel. By Kara Warner Sam Worthington in “Wrath of the Titans” Photo: Warner Bros. The last time we caught up with Perseus ( Sam Worthington ), Zeus ( Liam Neeson ), Hades ( Ralph Fiennes ) and Co. in 2010’s “Clash of the Titans,” the gods were playing around with human lives, the Kraken was released and destroyed, and Perseus was asked to join the ranks on Mount Olympus. And although we’ve long known about the film’s sequel “Wrath of the Titans,” we haven’t had a clear look at what we’ll be getting into when it opens next March, until now. The “Wrath of the Titans” trailer is here and it is an action-packed extravaganza of sword slinging, monster-fighting excellence. Here are the five key elements we took away from the two-minute clip: When Liam Neeson Speaks, People Listen Oscar winner Liam Neeson is a perfect leader of things in film. He just has a natural gravitas and stature to make it work every time. Neeson as Zeus is a perfect example, and in the “Wrath” trailer, he uses that captivating narrator voice of his to tell the audience everything we need to know about the plot: “We Gods are losing our power. We believed the Titans to be imprisoned forever, now they’re breaking free.” His voice carries over shots of various Titans landing in various places and starting to wreak havoc. “It would mean chaos,” he says with feeling. “The end of the world.” Perseus vs. Everyone So how do we prevent the end of this world? With Perseus, of course, the demi-god descendent of Zeus himself, who saved the day in the first movie and will likely be doing the same in the second. Perseus is basically fighting various elements, monsters, gods and humans throughout the trailer, so when Zeus tells his son, “You will learn someday that being half human makes you stronger than a god,” we have to believe him because how else could he survive such beatings? Awesome CG Everything While fans of the 1981 original “Clash of the Titans” may remember the film most fondly for its camp factor and Claymation effects, there is no room for those in the reboots. Judging by the sleek and sophisticated design we see here in the trailer, i.e., the sonic boom blast following a god’s descent to earth, Hades in the Underworld, Cyclops, scary winged beasts, etc., “Wrath of the Titans” will be a feast for the eyes and fans of highly stylized CG. Andromeda Gets In On the Action? Everyone loves a beautiful femme fatale, one of Greek mythology’s favorite through lines, but we can all agree that it’s more fun when a female lead gets in on the action. Rosamund Pike has taken over the role of Andromeda in “Wrath,” and from the looks of things, wielding a sword, for instance, she might have more to do in this one than getting helplessly tied to a rock. Ralph Fiennes Should Only Play Villains How much do we love Ralph Fiennes as a villain? See his Oscar-nominated performance in “Schindler’s List” and his brilliance as He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named in the “Harry Potter” franchise. Fiennes makes his villains look as terrible as they are fun to play. His one line in this trailer is delivered with the perfect combination of calm, confidence and cool we’ve come to know and love: “You’re sweating like a human. Next, it will be tears.” Check out everything we’ve got on “Wrath of the Titans.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com .
