Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner: Nice Try on the Apology, Notorious B.I.G. Estate Claps Back!

Oh, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner. Oh, no no no no no no no. Just: NO . On Thursday, the sisters were blasted by Voletta Wallace , the mother iconic rapper Biggie Smalls, after she learned Kendall and Kylie had superimposed images of themselves on t-shirts featuring her son and Tupac Shakur. Both of the aforementioned artists were tragically murdered many years ago. The controversial pieces of attire were released this week as part of a line of “Rap vs. Rock” items that comprise the latest Kendall + Kylie collection unveiling. They were immediately criticized by Twitter users as insensitive… for fairly obvious reasons. Overall, the shirts depict photos or album covers from a wide swath of recording artists – including Pink Floyd and Metallica, along with Tupac and Biggie – with Kendall or Kylie’s face imprinted over the snapshots of these singers. They make that Kendall Jenner Pepsi commercial seem like a well-thought out idea by comparison. Upon discovering that the Jenners had released such items, Wallace went off on them in a scathing Instagram post. “I am not sure who told @kyliejenner and @kendalljenner that they had the right to do this,” she wrote yesterday, adding: “The disrespect of these girls to not even reach out to me or anyone connected to the estate baffles me. “I have no idea why they feel they can exploit the deaths of 2pac and my Son Christopher to sell a t-shirt. “This is disrespectful, disgusting and exploitation at its worst!” To make herself clear, and to make sure the public was aware she and her family were NOT affiliated with these stupid shirts, Wallace also posted the following photo and message: A short while later, Kendall apologized on behalf of herself and her sister. “These designs were not well thought out and we deeply apologize to anyone that has been upset and/or offended, especially to the families of the artists,” she wrote. She continued: “We are huge fans of their music and it was not our intention to disrespect these cultural icons in anyway. The tee shirts have been pulled from retail and all images have been removed. “We will use this as an opportunity to learn from theses mistakes, and again we are very sorry.” Fair enough we guess, right? We can simply shake our head over this moronic decision by Kylie and Kendall (or, let’s be honest, by their mother and her business team) and move on? Nope, not exactly. Not yet. In a statement to People Magazine, the Notorious B.I.G. Estate says it isn’t done with the sisters quite yet. “While we appreciate that the Jenners have made an apology and pulled the unlawful and unauthorized items, this matter has yet to be resolved,” it wrote in a new statement. Does this mean a lawsuit is on the way? Or a threat of a lawsuit, at least, in order to make the Jenners shell out some cash before the controversial really spirals out of control? It seems very possible. View Slideshow: 19 Reasons to Believe Kylie Jenner Got a Boob Job We’re not legal experts, however. We just write about celebrity gossip for a living. We’re not sure the grounds on which a lawsuit could be filed. But if stupidity were against the law, Kendall and Kylie would be thrown in jail for life for this decision.

Biggie’s Mom Has Lil’ Kim Removed From Monica Single

Newlywed R&B star Monica has found herself in the middle of a family feud. The ATL  singer recently collaborated with Rick Ross, Missy Elliott and Lil’ Kim for the single, “Anything.” The song samples David Porter’s “I’m Afraid the Masquerade Is Over” used for the Notorious B.I.G’s classic “Who Shot Ya?” and the Queen Bee cribs a few lines from the Biggie hit in her verse. (Listen below) According to Monica’s twitter account Biggie’s mother Voletta Wallace has stopped the single from being released because Lil’ Kim appears on the song. As custodian of Biggie’s estate, Ms. Wallace approves any samples of her late son’s music. “I am just finding out what has happened to my single and myself & Missy are beyond hurt that @LilKim was removed. She’s our friend, a legend,” Monica wrote. “Lil Kim will get the respect she deserves at all cost. The clearance was revoked and I’m fighting to get it reinstated by the Biggie Estate.” Ms. Wallace and Lil’ Kim have been engaged in a very public feud over the past few years, most recently over Kim’s portrayal in the biopic Notorious . Based on Monica’s tweets, the song would not be cleared unless Lil’ Kim’s vocals were removed. Despite her displeasure, Monica maintained her respect for Ms. Wallace and did not take sides, insisting that she “respects all parties involved” and hopes to have the song reinstated with Lil’ Kim featured. Lil’ Kim has taken the high road thus far simply writing, “I want ya’ll to know that Missy Elliot and Monica Brown have been going hard a s mothaf*cka for this situation. I love them so much! We are planning something even BIGGER for you guys.” WARNING: EXPLICIT CONTENT What do you think? Should Biggie’s mom let this one go or do you think she did the right thing blocking the record? Tupac Shakur And Notorious B.I.G. Wax Figures Team Up In D.C.

The rappers’ likenesses will hang out in the same room at Madame Tussauds wax museum in Washington, D.C. By Mawuse Ziegbe The Notorious B.I.G. wax figure Photo: Madame Tussauds Tupac Shakur and the Notorious B.I.G. didn’t have many chances to work together before they were both killed at the heights of their fame and in the midst of a feud. But now the hip-hop icons will reunite posthumously for the first time — in wax. Wax emporium Madame Tussauds will bring the figures of ‘Pac and Notorious B.I.G. together for the first time on what would have been Tupac’s 39th birthday , Wednesday (June 16), at its Washington, D.C., gallery. The figures will stand near each other for three months. Tupac’s figure is on loan from Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas, and Biggie’s statue, like the actual hip-hop icon, comes from New York’s Madame Tussauds. Visitors to the D.C. museum will have the chance to snap pictures with both figures in the same room, a rare opportunity while the stars were living, since Big and ‘Pac famously lit up headlines as MCs at the forefront of the mid-’90s East Coast/ West Coast hip-hop beef. The museum worked to faithfully replicate the stars’ swagger. ‘Pac’s figure is bare-chested and emblazoned with the late star’s many tattoos, with his signature bandanna knotted around his bald head. The waistband of his Emporio Armani boxers peeks out from the top of his baggy jeans. Biggie’s wax figure is mean-mugging, rocking a crisp white suit and carrying a walking stick; B.I.G.’s mother, Voletta Wallace, even praised the wax rendering of her late son. The figures will be displayed in the museum’s Glamour Room. Although Tupac and Biggie were both gunned down in the mid-’90s, their legacies are still felt throughout the music scene. “Notorious,” a biopic based on B.I.G.’s rise to fame hit theaters in 2009 , and “Training Day” director Antoine Fuqua is working on a Tupac movie . Fellow icon Eminem brought the late stars together again in 2003 on the song “Runnin’ (Dying to Live)” for the “Tupac: Resurrection” soundtrack. Will you go check out the side-by-side wax figures?
