Diane Lane has already pulled the trigger in her divorce from Josh Brolin, filing the papers in L.A. Superior Court and citing irreconcilable differences. Lane signed her divorce documents on Valentine’s Day, citing February 13 as the date of their official separation, although sources say it was earlier than that. “They’ve been separated for several months. This was a hard decision for both of them to make,” says a source close to Diane Lane and Josh Brolin . “The relationship just ran its course .” The pair, who married in a 2004 ceremony at Brolin’s California ranch, were introduced by his stepmother, Barbra Streisand, at a party in 2002. Brolin, 45, was recently arrested and held for public intoxication just before midnight on New Year’s Eve 2013, but he was released without charge. He was also arrested for fighting in a bar in Louisiana in 2008, where drinking was involved. Charges were eventually dismissed in that case, too. Four months after they married in 2004, Brolin was arrested for spousal battery, but Diane Lane recanted her story and charges were never filed. In any case, the divorce documents cite “irreconcilable differences.” Lane also wants her name restored to Diane Lane (it’s legally Diane Lane Brolin).

During the premiere, we were introduced to the Situation’s best friend, “The Unit,” who managed to stir up some drama between Sitch, Snooki and her boyfriend, Jionni. We also witnessed the first (and certainly not the last) hookup of the season, between Pauly D and Snooki’s friend Ryder. Over the past few seasons, the cast of “Jersey Shore” have become sort of experts on the art of wooing the opposite sex, so when MTV News caught up with them recently, we had to ask them to lend us their valuable expertise on hooking up. Of course, they couldn’t share all the tricks of the trade, but they did agree to tell us what not to do when. “You should never text-message during hooking up,” Pauly D said. “Put your phone away.” The Situation added, “You should never call another name. If her name is Sheila, don’t call her Tawana.” The ladies of the house have some more sage advice for what you need to stay away from when putting the moves on someone new. “[Don’t] throw it all out there,” JWoww said. ” ‘I got kids, I was married, I was this, I’m bankrupt, I killed my mom’ — you don’t do that stuff.” According to Deena, one might want to keep their bodily functions to a minimum. “[Don’t] fart or burp in their face,” Deena said. Kim Kardashian has come out with a new, lengthy statement on her official website , one that addresses her fans and seeks to quell the talk that she’s an attention-starved, money-hungry, sorry excuse for a human being who crapped all over the integrity of marriage in order to earn a few bucks. The message, apparently revised with a few edits prior to the final cut, reads: Kim Kardashian Divorce Mockery, Asian Style! This is probably the hardest thing aside from Ray J I’ve ever had to write. I see all of the support and I am so thankful for my fans, friends and family who are helping me through this difficult time. I am trying not to read all the different media reports but it’s hard not to see all the negative ones. First and foremost, I married for love. I can’t believe I even have to defend this. I would not have spent so much time on something just for a TV show! That’s my producer’s job! And, yes, I just insulted everyone who actually does spend a ton of time making TV shows. I share so much of my life on a reality show, that contemplating whether to even film my wedding was a tough decision to make, and maybe it turned out to not be the smartest decision. But it’s who I am! We filmed Kourtney giving birth, Khloe getting married, break ups, make ups, our best moments and our worst moments. These were all real moments that only required six or seven takes at most . That’s what makes us who we are. We share, we give, we love and we are open to Ray J pounding us on camera ! Everyone that knows me knows that I’m a hopeless romantic! I love with all of my heart and soul. I want a family and babies and a real life so badly that maybe I rushed in to something too soon. I believed in love and the dream of what I wanted so badly. I felt like I was on a fast roller coaster and couldn’t get off with Ray J when now I know I probably should have. I got caught up with the hoopla and the filming of the TV show that when I probably should have ended my relationship, I didn’t know how to and didn’t want to disappoint a lot of people. Yes, I said in the paragraph above that everything we filmed was “real” and now I’m saying the TV show got in the way of my relationship, but you like me for my breasts, not my common sense, let’s be honest. I’m being honest here and I hope you respect my courage and buy my fragrance because this isn’t easy to go through. But I do know that I have to follow my mom’s marketing recommendations heart. I never had the intention of hurting anybody and I accept full responsibility for my actions and decisions, and for taking everyone on this journey with me. It just didn’t turn out to be the fairy tale I had so badly hoped for. There are also reports that I made millions of dollars off of the wedding. These reports are simply not true and it makes me so sad to have to even clarify this. I’m so grateful to everyone who took the time to come to my wedding and I’ll be donating the money for all the gifts to the Dream Foundation. Huh? The money I made off selling the coverage rights to E! and photo rights to People? Ummm… look at my boobs! I’m sorry if I have hurt anyone, but my dad always told me to follow my heart. Following two years of marriage, the New Girl actress has separated from Death Cab for Cutie lead singer Ben Gibbard. “It was mutual and amicable,” a source tells Us Weekly . “There was no third party involved.” Deschanel and Gibbard tied the knot outside of Seattle, Washington in late September 2009. Saran Dunn Moore says aspiring chef featured on show’s latest episode ’embraced this whole process’ of losing weight. By Kara Warner Dominick on “I Used to Be Fat” Photo: MTV On Wednesday night’s new episode of “I Used to Be Fat,” we were introduced to 18-year-old Dominick. An aspiring chef with a big Italian family, the teen’s love for food and lack of physical activity had him tipping the scale at more than 300 pounds. Luckily for Dominick, though, he was paired with Saran Dunn Moore, who showed him how to incorporate healthier foods and an exercise regimen into his life. Moore’s guidance helped him to shed some very unnecessary pounds, and when MTV News met with the trainer, we asked how Dominick was doing since the show’s taping. “He’s loving school, he’s cooking,” Moore told us. “He calls me: ‘Saran, I just made this and this is how I made it. I made it with whole-wheat pasta, and I put salmon on it.’ He is so excited about cooking healthier foods,” she added. “We talk all the time and I ask him, ‘Are you getting to the gym? Are you lifting weights?’ And he’s like, ‘That’s my second home.’ ” Moore said she still can’t believe the transformation Dominick’s undergone, including a newfound active lifestyle. “Seriously, these kids didn’t do a thing until this summer and now they’re just as addicted to it as I am.” And Moore explained Dominick’s healthy approach to cooking has had as much of an impact on his body as his workouts. “He’s cooking with olive oil, finding different substitutes, like using plain yogurt instead of cottage cheese,” she said. “So he’s really embraced this whole process of eating healthier and changing the whole family dynamics of eating healthier.” Don’t miss “I Used to Be Fat” on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET on MTV.
