Sister Wives: Who is Meri Brown’s New Man?!

Meri Brown has had it pretty rough lately on  Sister Wives . Rampant rumors allege that she’s going to leave polygamous husband Kody Brown, an outcome many fans are eagerly awaiting. Meri just added more fuel to that fire with a recent Instagram post that shows her cozying up to a brand new mystery man.  The post from earlier this week features Meri taking an arm-in-arm selfie with a man who has never appeared on her Instagram before. The couple’s apparent closeness, not to mention the man’s age-appropriate good looks, have fans buzzing with speculation about a budding romance. The two are all smiles as they pose together in casual outfits on a well-manicured, sunlit lawn. Fans were already on the lookout for clues that Meri might be stepping out on Kody, who notably hasn’t appeared on her Instagram since January. The photo definitely has a flirtatious vibe, but it’s the caption that really has fans talking. “And then you meet someone who was right in front of you all along…..” Meri captions. That’s a lot of dots there, Meri. So, what is it you’re trying to tell us without actually saying it? Even if these two aren’t a couple, it sure seems like Meri wants fans (and possibly Kody) to wonder if they are. Meri goes on to identify the man as Brandon Stone by tagging his private Instagram account, @papabrandon1005 She follows this with three emoji: a blushing smiley face, a laughing smiley, and a winking face.  Basically, all the faces one might make during a first date that went really well. The plot thickens further as she concludes the caption with four telling hashtags: #LivingMyWhy, #BecauseICan, #FriendsWhoBecomeFamily, and #JustSmile Nothing here is explicit, and Meri is probably being vague on purpose. But the hashtags seem to tell the story of a woman who now feels empowered to go out into the world and get closer to guys she might have dismissed as friends. Many fans immediately speculated that Meri would be leaving Kody for Brandon. This would be an easy conclusion to reach for anyone who’s paid attention to Meri and Kody’s relationship over the years. Meri was Kody’s first (and only) legal wife until he divorced her and married his newest wife Robyn. Perhaps feeling sidelined by the restructuring of the family roles, Meri’s enthusiasm for her relationship with Kody dwindled visibly on the series. We’ve seen her be less than forthcoming with her family as she toys with the idea of leaving for a new man. Fans sympathetic to Mary’s plight left many supportive (if confused) comments about this potential new romance. “Please tell me your [sic] leaving Kody!!!!” one fan exclaimed, adding a slew of clapping emoji. “Girl now everyone is gonna freak out,” another commentor correctly predicted. “Just gonna make a statement like that and leave your fans hanging?” another asked, before exclaiming, “Clarify please!!” Other commentors were, of course, quick to tell fans not to let their imaginations run wild. “Evidently you can’t have friends,” one naysayer mused. “Do your homework,” another fan advised, including a link to a  TV Showcase  article that explains how the two presumably came to be together. Meri recently attended the funeral for Bruce Stone, a close friend of her father’s, and even made a touching Instagram post in memoriam. Brandon Stone, likely a relative of Bruce’s, was probably reunited with Meri at the funeral, as their selfie post followed the next day. We have to point out that tragic times often bring people together in unexpected ways. Just because these two were reunited for a funeral doesn’t mean sparks never flew. The couple notably aren’t dressed for a funeral in the pic, indicating that they met up on at least one other occasion, and not a somber one at that. Moreover, Meri knows what she’s doing when she posts these kinds of pictures and adds those coy captions and hashtags. The two probably aren’t a full on couple, but Meri seems to like the idea, and she clearly wants us all to be talking about it. We see you, Meri. And we approve. ‘Basketball Wives’ Recap: The Family Malaysia Continues With Dramatics

Source: Robin L Marshall / Getty Basketball Wives picks up right from the fall out of OG blowing up Kristen’s spot about Kristen and her husband not being real Scotts. Kristen calls her man to tell him how she’s going to beat up CeCe and OG (as if anyone is actually afraid of her). CeCe tells OG that she didn’t have to weaponize sensitive information that was revealed in private. Then CeCe starts crying and talking about how she didn’t mean for things to go this way. Trying to play innocent when this is probably what her inner thoughts look like:  Shaunie, Malaysia, Evelyn, and Feby are just looking at OG like… They really don’t like her anyway, so they’re making it a point to tell her how dead wrong she is, yatta yatta. But they’re also giving CeCe the side eye because she’s the one who put the battery in OG’s back by talking trash about Kristen and their family to her. Obviously, the family drama is deep. Malaysia probably didn’t really know what she was getting into bringing them on the show. You know how you have relatives that you’re cool with but you might not see or talk to that often, so you don’t always know what’s going on with them? That’s what this kind of seems like. So, bringing them on Basketball Wives might not have been such a good idea after all. No one wins when the family feuds.  Sorry, couldn’t resist.  Tami meets up with OG and Jackie another day and is on OG’s side. So, when Jackie is trying to explain what happened and how OG is wrong, Tami pushes back. This causes them to go back and forth, and Jackie gets really pissed when Tami calls her fake. Tami’s thing is that Jackie has been involved in lots of they petty mean girl stuff so why is she trying to chastise OG now?  Later on, Tami kicks it with Jackie, Shaunie, and OG and once again, they talk about the drama. Now it’s Shaunie’s turn to tell OG how wrong she was and that she comes off as too aggressive sometimes. But wait, has Shaunie ever called any of the other wild cassowaries on this show aggressive? Tami used to bully newbies all the time and Shaunie would stand off to the side with that smirk on her face. Or how about Evelyn, running across tables to fight people? Did Shaunie ever chastise any of them? Anyway, OG owns up to being wrong about revealing that information, which she is, but she said she’s backing off and plans to work on herself. The good news is that Jackie and Tami work things out but Tami still doesn’t like how everyone has been treating OG so she’s going to have a brunch where everyone can come and discuss. Because that’s going to go well.  Part of why Tami seems to have such a soft spot for OG is that she feels like OG is a target and that she can relate. In Tami’s mind, she has also been ganged up on and have had these women say mean things about her. Kind of true, but also kind of not. There have been mean things said about Tami by women she was beefing with at the moment, but no one ganged up on her (because they’re scared), and it’s not like Tami was ever innocent.  Anyway, Tami starts the talk. We get to a point where Kristen and OG are going back and forth, as expected.  Kristen says that OG felt the need to say what she said to be hurtful. That is true, but OG denies this. OG says she got the info from CeCe and Byron while at dinner with them and that Byron told her that people know this information (uh, yeah, close family) and that it would be totally fine if she ever had to pass that information on to anyone else.  Anyway, Kristen asks OG why she has a problem with her. OG says she doesn’t have a problem with Kristen but that Kristen has a problem with her , and now everyone is either like wtf or just looking at her all kinds of sideways (or both).  Neither Kristen nor OG is actually wrong. They respectively have a problem with each other. Anyway, Malaysia tells Cece that she felt that CeCe was talking trash about Kristen to OG so that OG would do what she did. CeCe denies this. Then Kristen asks CeCe how she would feel if Byon’s children didn’t show up to the wedding. CeCe says she doesn’t care. She only cares about Byron and this is the last time Kristen is going to see her. Yeah, this brunch wasn’t productive. So now Malaysia feels like she has to go to Byron himself.  Malaysia confronts Byon and tells him everything that happened. He said he did give that information to CeCe and OG, but it’s not like it’s a secret secret , even though only a few select people know. Malaysia asks if he told OG to run back and tell everyone, which is not quite what OG said he said, but mmmkay. Anyway, he denies this. He also says he knows CeCe isn’t innocent in this, but that she was tired of getting attacked, which is valid. Then she asks about his beef with Kristen. He repeats that he’s mad at Kristen for making him look like a bad grandfather and that’s why he said what he said. Lordt.  Messy. F or those people who are looking for a cinematic escape this July 4th, a movie marathon is a perfect way to spend the day. There are tons of films with Black casts that will keep you laughing and not sweating from the outside heat. Let’s face it, laughter is the best medicine especially with the Trump stress weighing down on communities across the nation. For an added bonus, BBQ Becky won’t show up to stop the fun in any of the movies on this list. People can grab their movie snacks or some barbecue, sit back and enjoy the show. Here are some good choices for your movie and chill day. See Also: ‘Troubling’ Video Shows Cops Assaulting Innocent Mother And Yanking Her Baby Away ATL This 2006 film starred T.I. and Lauren London , taking viewers into the world of roller skating in Atlanta. The high school-age characters also face several pivotal turning points in their lives. The Cookout This 2004 movie starred Quran Pender , Queen Latifah and Jenifer Lewis . As the name implies, a Black family comes together for a cookout that gets pretty interesting. Boyz n The Hood This 1991 film is one of the classics. The movie, set in inner-city Los Angeles, catapulted  Nia Long , Morris Chestnut , Cuba Gooding Jr. and Ice Cube to fame. The Inkwell A young Larenz Tate and Jada Pinkett (before she married Will Smith ) light up the screen in this 1994 film. Before Tate captured women’s affections in Love Jones, he captured hearts in this coming-of-age film set in Martha’s Vineyard during the Fourth Of July weekend of 1976. Poetic Justice The legendary Maya Angelou provided the poetic words that powered this 1993 film that starred the iconic Janet Jackson and Tupac Shakur . Jackson and Shakur’s characters fall in love in the film, which featured a barbecue scene. Do The Right Thing This 1989 film was one of Spike Lee ‘s memorable and rawest journeys into inner-city life. Set on the hottest day of the year in the Bedford Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, New York, the film is a searing look at what happens when heat meets hate as the characters struggle with racial frustrations that ultimately boil over into chaos. But in reaching the tipping point, Lee still shows the community’s spirit. Barbershop 2: Back In Business This 2004 comedy starring Ice Cube and Queen Latifah will bring the laughs. The movie, focused on a Chicago barbershop’s importance to its community, has a barbecue scene that shows off Latifah and Cedric the Entertainer ‘s comedic chops. Menace II Society This 1993 film is another cult classic that stars Pinkett and Tate. At the heart of the film set in Watts, Calfornia, the main character, Caine, played by Tyrin Turner , is trying to find his way to a better life. Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins This 2008 film isn’t one of Martin Lawrence ‘s best-known films, but it stars a lot of comedian talents including Mo’ Nique , Cedric The Entertainer and Mike Epps . Lawrence’s character returns home after achieving fame only to find out that his family could care less about his status. How Stella Got Her Groove Back This 1998 film had a braided-up Angela Bassett finding her to Jamaica to, well, get her groove back after a divorce and some major work stress. While there, she meets a young man played by Taye Diggs that piques her interest. Then, their lives both intertwine and change forever. Oh, there’s a good barbecue scene in this film, too. ‘Basketball Wives’ Recap: OG Gets In The Middle Of CeCe And Kristen’s Drama

Source: Hollywood To You/Star Max / Getty Tonight we pick up Basketball Wives from the aftermath of Shaunie giving Jennifer a hug. Yup. Shaunie got over her animosity toward Jennifer to try to convince Evelyn to come around too, but Evelyn isn’t having it. She says Jenn can use her mom dying as an excuse to be a jerk all she wants but it won’t change the fact that she was talking smack about Shaniece since before her mother died. In other words, Evelyn is not ready to come around and that’s that.  Later on, we find Malaysia kicking it with CeCe and OG. The latter two have been besties lately, so much so that OG rolls her eyes when Malaysia mentions Kristen’s name. OG feels some type of way about Kristen due to their tiff at last season’s reunion (Kristen tried to shame her for not being married or having kids), but also because CeCe has been filling her in about her drama. The general sentiment, outside of Malaysia, is that Kristen is fake. This starts getting under Malaysia’s skin because she feels like CeCe has been telling OG stuff that she’s not telling everyone else, which is counterproductive to her mission of trying to get her family on the same page. This is going to blow up in a major way.  In other news, Tami Roman is still around. She has been pulling a Kim Zolciak this season — you know — not wanting to really participate in filming with the other women. However, she does address Kenny Anderon’s stroke. She and her daughters are saddened by it. Speaking of her daughters, they feel like the only thing worse would be if something happens to her and so, they request that she stop smoking. Later on, Tami goes to a hypnotist because she has tried everything else in the world to give up smoking…except for this. Progress pending, because Tami fell asleep during the session.  Finally, we get to the part of the episode where everything falls apart. Evelyn’s new business venture involves a skincare line formulated with CBD. So, we’re at the part where Evelyn brings the group together to test out her products, but the real reason we’re here is so that OG and Kristen can face off.  It all goes downhill when OG walks in and Malaysia decides to be messy by bringing up when OG said that Kristen was fake. Malaysia also asks CeCe if she said something to OG in private that she shouldn’t have said. Basically, OG mentioned that she feels like CeCe tells her the truth about how she feels, but tells everyone else that everything is okay and that she and Kirsten are fine. Lies. Anyway, CeCe said she didn’t say anything off to OG at all and that they don’t even talk about Kristen when they hang out. OG feels like she’s holding on to a piece of anger from CeCe that CeCe is hesitant to share. Then OG finally decides to stop holding back and calls Kristen fake. Then she unloads more about how Kristen borrowed clothes and shoes from CeCe. They obviously start arguing and then OG blurts that Kristen and Thomas aren’t real Scotts because the man we’ve been seeing on camera thus far isn’t Thomas’ actual dad, but they just want the world to think they’re basketball royalty (Byron actually raised Thomas though).  Kristen starts wilding out, She calls OG’s man gay, and starts trying to get at OG like she wants to try to fight but she gets restrained (and OG definitely isn’t scared). Shaunie steps in and chastises OG, talking about how she’s out of line and it’s not her place to reveal personal secrets like this, yatta yatta. Shaunie, Malaysia, and Feby try to keep Kristen at bay since they don’t have Love and Hip-Hop levels of security, and Jackie tells OG she’s out of line. CeCe said OG obviously threw that out to hurt Kristen but that the info isn’t a secret so she’s surprised about Kristen’s reaction.  Meanwhile, Shaunie continues telling OG how wrong she was until OG said that CeCe gave her this info. Then Shaunie goes out and tells Kristen that Cece passed that info to OG. This causes Kristen to try to go charging back in the room. She gets restrained, but then. Malaysia goes back in to confront CeCe because she just asked if CeCe had told OG any secrets. CeCe admits to spilling the tea but added that it’s not a secret and she’s actually surprised that Kristen is acting the way she is. Y’all, Kristen is kicking, screaming, and in tears as if this was the first time she heard this news about her man. Then Malaysia starts going off on OG because she feels like OG is trying to keep her family apart.  Now everyone thinks CeCe has been playing puppet master all this time. They think CeCe told OG all this stuff because she knew OG would be the one to put this stuff out there and say the things CeCe is too afraid to say.  Wouldn’t be the first time for someone on this show to do that.  Anyway, the petty drama returns next week. Now, the model is giving us an even deeper look at all the hate she both endures and witnesses first hand against her husband because of their interracial relationship. Graham shared a screenshot of a shocking email she received this week–which you can take a look at over on  Daily Mail –that urges her to leave her husband because he’s black. The email was shared on her Instagram Stories, where the model told her fans that ‘racism isn’t clickbait, it’s real and evil’ before including a photo of the absolutely sickening message. The subject line read, “I detest everything you represent.” The man continued on, saying, “Race mixing is evil and against nature” It becomes clear that Ashley and Justin’s relationship insults Sterling’s lil racist azz because her husband is black, so he decided to voice his bigotry in the horrific email–also taking shots at the model’s size and appearance. New Study Reveals Unmarried Women With No Kids Are The ‘Healthiest and Happiest Population Subgroup’

There has been previous research done that supports the idea that married folks are happier than single people, but apparently, they only have that energy when their spouse is in the room. Behavioral science professor, Paul Dolan, told  The Guardian  that while “married people are happier than other population subgroups,” that only applies to “when their spouse is in the room when they’re asked how happy they are.” “When the spouse is not present: f—ing miserable,”  Dolan, who teaches at the London School of Economics, candidly explained. “The healthiest and happiest population subgroup are women who never married or had children.” Sign Up For Our Newsletter! Email Submit In Dolan’s book,  Happy Ever After: Escaping the Myths of the Perfect Life, the researcher compared data from single, married, separates, divorced and widowed to find out who was happiest amongst the pack. It appears there are differences between how men and women benefit , or don’t benefit, from the old ball and chain. For men, “You take less risks, you earn more money at work and you live a little longer,” Dolan said of the findings, but “She, on the other hand, has to put up with that, and dies sooner than if she never married .” Look like women literally get the short end of the stick when it comes to becoming wives and mothers. “We do have some good longitudinal data following the same people over time, but I am going to do a massive disservice to that science and just say: If you’re a man, you should probably get married ; if you’re a woman, don’t bother,” Dolan said. Ciara was one of many celeb guest appearances in a video for Swift’s new song  You Need To Calm Down , among them include Ellen DeGeneres, RuPaul, Katy Perry, Laverne Cox and Billy Porter. The video is a call to action for Taylor and her fans to support the Equality Act, a piece of legislation which if passed, would prohibit discrimination based on gender and sexual identity. The  American Idol alum confirmed via social media that her next LP will feature tracks with R&B gems Jazmine Sullivan and Brandy . “So Thankful for you [Jazmine Sullivan] & [Brandy],” she on Instagram. “This is an independent Album and we DID IT!!!” She didn’t reveal when the album will be available, but the project will be titled  Sketchbook because she sees “her life as a painting.” The post implies that this is a joint album between Fantasia, Sullivan and Brandy but since her first single “Enough” is a solo track, it’s uncertain.
